No issues with staff but the place was not as it appeared online. Very old and rundown looking. Not very clean and coffee maker in room could not be used as it was gross inside and was not clean--not something I could even get clean myself in the bathroom sink. Listened to people above walking around in the middle of the night as the creaking floor was very loud in the room. Very outdated. Not a place I would go back to.

Enjoy comfortable accommodations and warm hospitality in tranquil surroundings. Situated on three verdant acres next to a horse farm, Maple Terrace offers peaceful country living in the heart of Williamstown. Its privileged location is just a short walk from Williams College, the famed Clark Art Institute, Williamstown Theater Festival and many other local attractions.
We have been staying at the Maple Terrace Motel 10 or so days a year for the past 12 years. Why? It is the best in the area. The staff goes overboard to insure we are happy. Every year we stay there we see improvements we never knew needed improving. This year the parking lot was was repaved and relined. In spite of Covid we felt safe and found no inconveniences. The grounds are beautiful, including the adjoining horse boarding farm seen from the rear of the hotel, along with comfortable chairs, numerous picnic tables, a very large, well maintained swimming pool, and beautiful gardens. Don’t expect modern furniture, but it is clean and comfortable. If in Williamstown, try it…you won’t be sorry you did..

My friend and I are from South Florida and this was our first trip to New England. This hotel was great! Very friendly couple runs it, and it is very convenient to Dunkin’ Donuts, Dollar General, Cumberland Farms and others. The morning we left, the President of the Mohawk Trail organization happened to be there, and helped us plan the next leg of our trip. The room was very affordable, comfortable, and met our needs very well. The only downside is that the address is a little deceiving - it sounds like this motel is in Vermont, when in reality it is located just over the Massachusetts border. We would definitely recommend the Williamstown Motel!

We stayed for 2 nights in early May and we liked the fact that they were not charging a fortune for a decent motel room. It was nothing special but a clean room with all the basic amenities. We were not expecting much in $89/nt but they pleasantly surprised us. We will be back later in the summer.

This scenery was really beautiful and the staff were very pleasant. The rooms and hotel in general were very nice. They have a lovely pool and volleyball court along with a creek. The food was nice too for breakfast you can make your own waffles or there is cereal or bagels or any of those things. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!! Would go again and I recommend to families who want to go and enjoy a peaceful weekend in Berkshire. Downtown is very nice and is a super short drive.

What is going on at this new hotel ? The hotel needs a corporate visit or take down that Marriott flag out front. Like many reviews have stated , upon entry to the hotel the smell of mold and chlorine from a poorly vented indoor pool area greets you. Then the front desk staff ( as others have reviewed as well) is non existent or busy playing their hand held video games. I was given the bait and switch by a Marriott phone reservation and charged $289 for a Member price quoted of $196.00 room that was booked for $196. We cancel our second night due to a mattress in room 302 that was so worn out we didn’t sleep at all and awoke with aching backs and soreness all over. There are body outline dents and worn spots in the mattress. They put mattresses on platforms and perhaps this mattress needs a box spring underneath to avoid this excessive wear so early after being installed . We checked out and then learned the prices are “ floating and averages” as stated by the manager so tax included this Bonvoy member paid $322 for a Mountain View room. (Williams Inn with real food for breakfast was cheaper) We had the top floor Mountain View, please don’t pay for this room level. You view a row of small houses and stockade fence and a service road. No privacy is possible with windows on threes sides, so you have to close your blinds in your Mountain View room so the houses and people in other room don’t see you. It is a U shaped hotel, you can all wave to each other ( kinda fun ) unless you pick a road view room, these are more private. I spoke with the front desk manager about the reason we were checking out early due to that horrible bed and then to my surprise the bill and refusal to correct or adjust in any way . We immediately contacted Marriott and they did nothing and responded it was our responsibility to pay attention to our conformation emails. I am beyond shocked as along time Marriott customer about the whole experience. It will be a hard choice for Marriott ever again. Never experienced anything even close to this at any Marriott property. I am so distraught over this decision as love Marriott properties over the years and around the world. I can’t respectively let this “customer is wrong” mentally be OK with me. Really read through the reviews here and decode them. See if the prices are worth it for you over the high ranking motels or other Inn choices in Williamstown.
