This hotel needs a revamp. Rooms tires, carpets stained and overall not great. Cold shower in the morning summed things up. The positive news is the staff. Happy smiling faces, great service and always ready, willing and able to help the customer. Hats off to Courtney on Reception who is a riding star; helpful, courteous and a great ambassador for Village Hotels. These kids need a better product to sell to the customer, come on Village Hotels, time to step up!

Claire and her whole team have been since day one very welcoming. So much so that I had absolutely no problem with the hotel at all. Yes it is a bit tiered and could do with maybe a kick of paint here and there but in my mind the teams attitude and willingness to he helpful eclipses all. Many thanks

Disappointing visit avoided

Stayed one night with meal deal, enjoyed a nice pint before dinner, order taken swiftly, glass of wine arrived and we then waited 50 minutes to be told the order had “gone missing “ so an hour passed before we were served with the starter , a prawn cocktail (cold obviously) and a Brie bites , burnt ! The main was good,we complained and the manager arrived and refunded the meal deal ,and didn’t charge for the bottle of wine! A serious complaint very well handled, credit where credit’s due! We would happily return!

Comfortable stay

Reviewed By whitewhiterose

Stayed on a Sunday night there was a wedding going on which we didn’t know about. It didn’t bother us it’s a special day for someone and it’s nice to hear to be honest. The only complaint I had was I asked for a ground floor due to my disability and heart problems stairs are not good. We also had the furthest room possible so we asked and nothing available only a twin. Had some help with cases though which was kind. The hair dryer was disappointing it’s in the bathroom and you couldn’t breath with all the steam from the shower so you couldn’t see in the mirror. I would of brought my own if I knew. So lady’s bring one with you if you want to dry and style your hair. Furniture a little shabby needs a bit of TLC. Lovely clean beds and feathered duvets. So in all it was very comfortable and that’s all you need. A little nose from below our window with wedding guest mostly s ground of screeching girls, but turned the tv up lol which is also on the little side. Great breakfast very Accommodating and polite. Would stay again yes

Shame about the rave going on in the room next door!

Reviewed By amandalD9857BZ

Fantastic entertainment for the children during the Unicorn Sleepover. Sadly we didn't get much sleep due to the loud music in the room next door and the door frequently getting slammed shut was scaring my daughters so I had two very tired children the next day which spoilt our fun at the theme park. I did report the issue to the reception and they asked for the music to be turned down. Such a shame that some people don't realise it is a resort for young children not a place to go and party into the early hours.

Needs improvement

Hotel is desperately overdue a refurb, plug hanging off the bathroom wall with exposed wires, toilet didn’t flush properly, hair dryer packed up on first day and was never replaced staff seemed stressed and were abrupt, water coming through ceiling in the bar, stains on net curtains. Courtyard meant to be closed from 9, but people out there smoking and drinking at going 10.30, corridor walls had been repainted, but masking tape still left all Over door frames (no smell of fresh paint, so obviously not done recently) Breakfast choice was poor, and on one day we were obviously fed previous days leftovers it was so dry and shrivelled. I only stay on this hotel due to its convenient location for an event, would not use it otherwise.
