Good budget accommodation in Sao Jorge
Reviewed By OtherguruStaying in Sao Jorge is a good option when visiting Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park and Vale da Lua as this is a charming village. We liked our stay at Pousada Mundo Dha Lua. If you do not mind walking up some stairs, you should request an upstairs room. Comfort is basic but sufficient: shower with hot water, air con, mini bar, free wi-fi. We would have liked to get a hair dryer and more bathroom amenities. Breakfast is good. The front staff is nice and helpful, although they do not speak English.

Reviewed By stephanieeX3516ZTExtremely basic pousada. Rooms were shack like. We found burn marks on our sheets and there was a mysterious locked door that was kept shut. Basic amenities. Wifi only at reception/breakfast area. Sheets don’t get changed for a longer stay, nor do bins which was surprising as they ask you not to put toilet roll down the toilet. Bugs in room. The breakfast was very basic. Selection of breads, sliced cheese and ham and some cakes. The pousada is very well located to the National Park, this is what saved it for us.

The Owl Corner is a family space where a family of four lives and works on site. We work to receive guests seeking tranquility to rest in the middle of nature. Next to the National Park, our hosting option differs from the rest of the village just by the location. With an area of 1 hectare, there is possibility of direct contact with the savannah on a track inside the property. The local landscape is amazing. We work so that there is less environmental impact as possible on the operation of the inn. sustainable actions as evapotranspiration pit, waste separation, water reuse, solar energy, among others make space a reference in sustainability. Reviewed By Ricardo AChalets with comfortable beds, minibar and air-operated OK. Small Led Tv, bed linen and good quality bath. Simple bathroom, but large enough and provide soap. Simple cleaning. Excellent breakfast: homemade breads and cakes, hot cheese bread, prepared items on time: tapioca, scrambled eggs etc. Juices of pulp, yogurt, honey, granola, jelly and variety of fruits: banana, pineapple, melon; Watermelon and papaya. For those who aim to know the park and waterfalls. Nice hostel!

The hotel, or pousada in Portuguese, is not only very Well located but also has a terrific group of staff members very willing to Make your stay superb. The rooms are quite large, very confortable, have jacuzzi and all you need to get recovered After a long day visiting The National Park. Make sure you have dinner at the Risoteria. Make sure you get there before 7:30pm and get a sit close to the bonfire.

Never, Ever Stay Here!
Reviewed By Moller FStay as far away from this pousada and these people as you can! Not only did we not get anything that we paid for, but they threatened my children’s lives! The rooms were in horrible condition for the price, they promised us an English-speaking guide and provided one that did not speak more than five words of English and they over-charges us by 70%, of which we have proof in a message written to us by the father of the owner! And that is not the worst. They refused our credit card upon arrival and insisted that we pay with bank transfer after the Carnaval holiday, they proceeded to give us a different bank account, which is common practice for white-washing money in Brazil. When we asked for a receipt to pay them the 25% remaining balance, they threatened the safety of our family, and specifically our children!

SHANTI is a unique place that was built on an organic archictecture, using natural elements like adobe (buildings mande of clay), stones and recycled wood. SHANTI is composed only with four rooms in which two of them are simple suites and two are duplex apartments (2 floors). The rooms are decorated by chromotherapy teachings, which garantees a personal treatment to our guests.
