This was our first stop on our first visit to Japan. They set the expectation for service in Japan – which was actually met throughout the multi week across throughout the country. I called the week before just to confirm everything, as the reservations were made 6 months prior. I also wanted to let them know we did not expect to arrive until after 10 at night. The first person I spoke to was very apologetic and managed to get across that he unfortunately did not speak English. Since we really could not communicate I just decided I would just have to assume everything was okay and we discontinued the call on a confused, but happy note. However within 10 minutes I had a call back from Coco Gardens. This was my introduction to Jimmy – who proved to be absolutely wonderful during our entire stay. Jimmy assured me he would be there when we arrived late in the evening. And he was. We arrived well after 10, but Jimmy was there to greet us with cool towels and hot tea. He explained the amenities of the resort and made sure one of the other members of the staff helped settle us into our room. Our room was very spacious, and very clean. The amenities were plentiful – tea, bottled water, razors, brush, toothbrush, body towels – and a Japanese staple at hotels – pajamas! The beds were very comfortable, room temperature perfect, and it was quiet and peaceful. Our stay included breakfast, as well a one dinner. We were out and about all day so the dinner never came into play. However we did enjoy the breakfast buffet each morning. It was excellent. The selection was terrific – salad bar, fruit bar, breads, hot and cold cereals, steamed vegetables, eggs, pastries, steamed dumplings, breakfast meats, chef’s station with fresh made selections and a wide variety of juices, coffees and teas. Anyone would be able to find something to their liking to enjoy. There is a bar near the restaurant, however this is not a bar scene place. It is very family oriented and on the two occasions we did visit the bar for an evening beverage we were the only ones there and someone from the restaurant staff had to come make the drinks as it does not appear to be staffed with a dedicated bartender. No worries though – service here was as it is throughout the resort – excellent. Jimmy was a constant presence – I swear the man does not sleep! He even took care of cleaning leaves off of the car windows so each morning the vehicle was ready to go. Everything about this place spoke of excellent service. We will be visiting Okinawa again and will definitely plan on staying here. So much better than a big commercial hotel – worth the visit!

We stayed here for 1 night and although it was short we enjoyed our stay here. The resort is located at the end of ikei island and is rather far away from mainland. There are not much f&b options around and Lawson can be found on Henza island. Just getting out of the island through Henza will take you around 25 mins if you are fast and is the same when going in. There are many winding roads so you do need to be careful. Parking is plentiful in front of the resort. The whole place was rather empty when we were there, maybe 2 or 3 other group of guest. We loved how quiet the place was at the lobby and pool. The sea view from our room was great. Room was a bit small for 4 of us but that's understandable. The front desk informed us about the breakfast and hot spring (1000¥) but we were not told about the petting zoo so it's only when I read reviews did I know about its existence. There is a hot spring outside the lobby which is for soaking your feet. We had fun playing table tennis and relax on the massage chair too. Breakfast was average, we were the only one then so no crowd and etc. Although the resort is a bit expensive and old, i would still stay here again as I like the location of it being far away from the crowd.

Stay here last summer. Love the view from my room so much, at night everything is quiet so I could here the sound of the ocean. The dinner was big and delicious. The breakfasr was limited choices but good. Overall the hotel is quite old, the pool need renovation and let the guests enjoy it. The staff was very kind.

My family and spent three weeks at the Hideout. Very spacious, very clean. We had a two bedroom apartment with a view of the ocean and a direct path to the ocean. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They took great care of us and greeted us with kindness and smiles every day. Eri helped me find a local car rental location and took the time to drive me there to pick up my car, far beyond expectations.

There are not many budget hotels in Uruma. I guess this hotel was built for more than 30 years and all in very vintage style. Even the passers by did not know the location of the hotel. Thanks to GPS that locate its position perfectly. Being an old building, the rooms are also oldly decorated but still clean and tidy, Two choices for breakfast: Japanese and Western. Suprisingly, the quality is the best compared to others I tried in Okinawa. Recommend for short stay.

There’s a supermarket just across the road and the hotel provides a modest breakfast set - salad, egg, ham, toast & tea (no coffee). Has balcony (smoking allowed at balcony), kitchenette, washer cum dryer. Comfortable stay. Just that pillow a bit flat for my liking
