Ubeda is not as touristy as other towns so it seems a little deserted at night. You may want to use the one elevator as the steps are huge if you deicide to take the stairs. This parador is owned by the same company as Ronda and Carmona- I believe. The breakfast buffet is pretty much standard- good selection of pastries, fruits, and meats,

Located in the beautiful monumental old town of Ubeda, this modern hotel is equipped with state of the art facilities. The hotel has a swimming pool, chimeny, wifi free, TV, telephone and a beautiful garden.
The hotel is set in the older part of town, convenient to explore all the renaissance buildings and close to the main restaurant / bar area. The hotel is set down a side street which cuts down on the noise from cars but does mean it can be in-practical to unload or load the car. The hotel will send you details of parking options if you request them. The hotel does provide breakfast at an additional charge but no restaurant or bar service.

Our Hotel is surrounded by monumental and noble cities, Baeza and Linares, with lots of traditions; marked out by mountainous area and natural landscapes: Sierra de Cazorla and Segura. Ideal place for business trips and sightseeing offers a high standard service, as well as the little extras you would expect from a modern and functional Hotel made especially for you, from the restaurant to the snack-bar, room service, conference rooms, laundry service, garden, balcony, pool and parking.
We were given a room on the second floor overlooking the swimming pool and garden where a bouncy castle is situated for parties. Unfortunately for us we had a very disturbed night with guitar playing and out of tune singing from below which went on till 2.00am. The room is fine though the shower is temperamental and can soak the bathroom as it spins out of its wall attachment! It is advertised that English is spoken but it isn't and trying to navigate the menu for dinner is a nightmare. I would suggest that an English translation is obtained. Google translate is helpful but not always accurate. Ubeda is an interesting city with many beautiful buildings and is well worth a visit though the hotel is about a thirty minute walk to the old town centre. The museum of St John of the Cross is particularly interesting as is a tour of the small mediaeval synagogue.

The Hotel Palacio de Úbeda, former Palace of the Counts of Guadiana, was built in the 16th century. Located just 9 km from Baeza, both World Heritage Cities, and 33 km from the wonderful Sierra de Cazorla. The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool, which offers spectacular views from its rooftop. Enjoy the Renaissance Thermas, which offer the maximum relaxation where you can enjoy a circuit of bathing in thermal waters, as well as the services of massages and other treatments. The establishment has private parking and parking service upon arrival, once you reach the main door of the hotel. All the rooms of this hotel, decorated in detail, mix with taste the best of the classic style of a palace, with the modern style more typical of a five-star hotel of the 21st century.
Ubeda is a wonderful and picturesque town. Booked a suite with balcony at the Hotel Palacio - which was extremely large and very grand (pictures on the website are v accurate) and yet fairly unpractical. Good points: very central; valet parking (expensive but was incredibly useful at an exceptionally busy period); wrap around balcony was amazing for watching the Semana Santa processions. Not so good: no WiFi reception in bedroom but there was in the enormous entrance/bathroom; balcony was not one you could relax on, no outside space - rooftop pool was closed (they said it was closed when booking) and looked completely out of commission so you couldn’t just sit up there - bet the views would have been very good. Kind of weird to have so much space but a lot of it you couldn’t use. Didn’t have breakfast - instead went to the incredibly good value Coffee Garden around the corner. Not sorry I stayed here but should have done better research I think.

Rosaleda Don Pedro is located in the historic center of Úbeda, listed as a Heritage of humanity by unesco. It has an outdoor pool, spa and free Wi-Fi zone. The rooms at Rosaleda Don Pedro are spacious and have air conditioning, wooden furniture and a fully equipped bathroom. The hotel has a patio and a bar. In addition, the hotel's restaurant serves traditional Andalusian and Spanish dishes. Rosaleda Don Pedro is near the Plaza Vázquez de Molina. Úbeda is located in the center of the province of Jaén, an area that has several natural reserves, such as the Cazorla natural park.
Excellent location with parking. When I arrived and was shown my room I was very disappointed it bore no resemblance to pics on web site, it was dark and lacked anything that would make me want to stay in it. I approached the staff and he could see nothing wrong with it, but I was eventually allocated a new room. The new room was fine, it was light and clean and had everything i needed. Sadly the restaurant was closed, which would have been fine if i had been given prior notice, now there are enough decent places to eat within a short walk of the hotel. The other thing to realise is that the hotel closes its front door at 11.00 pm and gives you a key code for entry.

This hotel has changed very much, sadly. The beautiful entrance with the iron gate had been changed with an ugly glass door. So had the great beautiful door from the courtyard up to the staircase. The courtyard itself was totally changed. The beautiful tiles on the the wall was removed, the little fountain was gone and everything, even the beautiful iron chairs was painted white. In fact everything was white and some cheapish chandelier was hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. I was shocked and wanted to cry when I saw it. What they want to achieve or try to copy is impossible to understand. To me the beauty and the magic was gone. It’s a horrible mix of old and modern that totally clash. We have stayed in this hotel at least 5 times before and we have loved everything about it every time. Sadly it has now changed owners. The fantastic manager had left and so had all the others, except from Josefin, thank God for that. She makes the best coffee in Úbeda and take care of the costumers in a great way. We were so fond of Alvar Fanez but now we are quite disappointed. One very good thing is that the mattresses were new and very comfortable. Our room was also almost the same. Thank you for that.

Casa palacio del siglo XIX, actualmente convertido en hotel y dirigido por su propietario, situado en Úbeda, en España, ciudad patrimonio de la Humanidad.
The mansion of Ordóñez Sandoval has been in the same family for generations. In 2015 the son of the present owner converted three or four of the ground floor rooms into very comfortable bedrooms and opened as a hotel. Many of the private rooms have been maintained and furnished as they were a century ago and we much enjoyed a tour of these and the private chapel. Our room was very large, high ceilings and stone flagged floor with an ample sized bathroom built into the room. A big bath and lots of hot water! The room had plenty of living space – desk, table, two armchairs and a sofa – so would be ideal for a stay of several nights. The free wifi signal was strong. Breakfast was on the first floor in a room decorated with a collection of antique fans. Excellent freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of meats and cheese, and of course fruits, yoghurts, cereals, breads, jams etc, as well as torta de aceite – delicious – which we had not tried before. The location of hotel Ordóñez Sandoval is very central, so only a short walk to the main sights of Úbeda and restaurants. The hotel has no car park but paid parking is very close and we probably could have found free parking if we had looked a little further. Overall a delightful and interesting place to stay. Just one slight niggle : Being British we would have liked a kettle and a handful of tea bags in the room!

I stayed in this hotel over the weekend and it was a very pleasant stay. The staff is nice and professional. The room I got was spacious, with a bathroom with amenities. Towels were of good quality and condition and the pillows were quite comfortable. The only thing I didn't like about the room was that the bathroom was separated from the room by means of a wood frame with windows that vibrated too much, making a lot of noise whenever opened or closed. Also, there is little privacy if you are sharing the room with people other than your partner in regard to the bathroom.Ideal for couples, but not for roommates. Breakfast was generous and for a good price. This is definitely a place I would repeat in the future.

Clean, comfy rooms, staff very friendly. Not staffed all the time, but arrangements were easily made for us to meet and gain access. Very conveniently located to explore Úbeda. Limited parking outside…we were unlucky, but plenty of room at that time of year in the public car park along the road within a 5 minutes walk. Simple but good Spanish breakfast. Reasonably priced for Úbeda.
