Traditional pub with good value bed & breakfast, slightly wonky but fairly comfortable rooms (the bed was quite hard, ok for me) and plenty to choose from for cooked brekkie which runs until 11 though fruit/cereal counter was cleared away by 10. Plenty of parking at back of pub though was quite busy Sunday afternoon/Monday morning.

We visited for three nights so my husband could attend a track day at Silverstone. We had heard mixed reviews so went in open minded. We had absolutely no negative experiences from start to finish. There are areas of the hotel decor wise which are dated but it is very clean and loads of places to sit and relax. The pool and gym are really good. Our bedroom over looked the golf course it was a good size and was everything we needed. We ate at ashtons and in the bar and both were great. Breakfast had a good choice and there was never anything short or empty. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and we had a lovely stay. We will definitely return.

Absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B, we had a wonderful stay. The room had everything we needed and more - warm and cosy even on a cold night, the bed was super comfy and the shower was great. We also appreciated the friendly welcome as well as the variety of snacks and the lovely breakfast hamper. The B&B is beautifully renovated and is in a really convenient location, not far from the M1 in a pretty village on the canal. There are two pubs and a restaurant only a couple of minutes' walk away and a nice coffee shop in the canal museum. Very much hoping we will return soon.

Based in Towcester, The Monk and Tipster offers good clean accommodation in any of its 9 en-suite rooms at very reasonable rates. It is perfectly located for visitors to Towcester Race Course, Silverstone and many picturesque villages along the Great Union Canal. The pub also offers a menu of classic pub grub, catering for everyone tastes.
Popped in to try the pub on the Sunday afternoon of a bank holiday weekend to find it open yet no customers and not a single member of staff visable. After waiting several minutes at the bar we walked out and went to the pub across the road which was thoroughly enjoyable and well priced. In short we won't try here again as it was empty for a reason and not a good business model to have no staff out front to welcome those who walk in. I would imagine we were not the only ones as another group came into the pub across the road and said the same thing. I would suggest the peacock which so far seems to be the best pub in Towcester so far.

Very comfortable farm house accommodation in a beautiful Grafton House set in the rolling Northamptonshire countryside. All rooms are en-suite and have modern facilities; your comfort is our priority.
We really enjoyed our stay in this self catering bed and breakfast accommodation in a barn conversion on a quiet farm in a peaceful and picturesque rural setting. The accommodation was clean and beautifully furnished. We had use of a large lounge and a large kitchen diner. The twin beds were really comfortable. Our bedroom had a spacious en suite bathroom which was well stocked with towels, flannels, shampoos and body wash. The fridge was well stocked with croissants, bacon, eggs, baked beans , bread, milk and bottled water. A selection of teas and coffee was also available. There was one other bedroom in the property so we would have had to share the kitchen and lounge areas if necessary.

Farthingstone Hotel & Golf Course is enfolded deep in the most beautiful countryside in England. Both accomplished and less experienced golfers will relish the pleasures of a mature and satisfying course that abounds in challenging features. Woodland, water, naturally sweeping fairways and carefully crafted greens make for a golfing experience to remember. This lovely setting is complimented by a small hotel with cosy bar and lounge, where you can relax and enjoy a well stocked bar by a real wood fire. Tranquil and secluded, but just a few miles from both the M1 and M40. Major towns within easy reach are Milton Keynes, Banbury, Oxford, Rugby and Northampton.
I recently booked a Sunday night play and stay break for myself and my wife. We played on the Sunday and the Monday and enjoyed a fabulous break at the golf course and hotel. As part of the deal we had an excellent 3 course evening meal with wine included, a substantial full breakfast and a very comfortable room in this excellent hotel. The whole deal came to just under £100 per person and was fully worth every penny. Every member of staff be it golf course or hotel, went beyond their need to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It would be churlish to single anyone out as they were all so friendly and helpful, but my wife would want me to mention the chef whose personal attention to ensure her food choices were met and exceeded, took us both by surprise. This place is a gem and we will most certainly be going there again.

Having been coming to the Bart on and off over the years I must say what a transformation the new tenants have made. Clean floors, new chairs and tables and lovely outside furniture. Katie and Jamie are the new hosts both very welcoming and attentive. Local Towcester Mill beers are stocked which I prefer to the usual National chain beers. Well done, will definitely pay another visit.

Small public house with 7 letting rooms, all with tea making facilities, TV and wash hand basin. Close to Silverstone, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Towcester race course. Clean and friendly environment. Twin/ single and family room.
Popped into this pub after the pub across the road had no staff or customers inside and what a gem it is. Drinks are fairly priced compared to the rest of Towcester and they have TVs, a dartboard, an outside area and 2 of the loveliest dogs named Bill and Ted. Thoroughly enjoyed out time and we will be back :)
