A location of the Resort is perfect for the variety of trip destinations either in walking distance, or few minutes by car. Accommodation in log cabins is new and rustic in a very fashionable design with atmosphere. The log cabins are fully equipped just like regular homes. There are about 20 of them quite close to each other. The resort contains also a hotel with spa, Slovakian/international restaurant, playgrounds or a jungle park for children. I do recommend. Personnel is nice and helfpul. The resort itself is calm, sitting in the nature, but still in the town of Terchova.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of September 2018 for the price of ~ €170 per room (2 people) per 2 nights with breakfast. It may sound little but in comparison to other places in the region, it is not negligible. The hotel is in the prime location, however, the owner(s) and/or operator(s) are totally disrespectful to this location and to their guests. This hotel is in completely wrong hands and is badly managed. Owners "sit" on a potential "mother lode" but they are either unaware or ignorant. Terchova/Vratna valley is very popular for Slovaks as well as for Czechs. We have spent 2 nights during the time when Czechs celebrate St. Wenceslas (bank holidays) and Terchova/Vratna valley was packed with Czech tourists (it took us almost 2 hrs to get from Terchova to Zilina by car on Sunday afternoon, normally it takes about 45 minutes). I really felt ashamed that they had to put up with such poor services. Especially, if they paid the same price as us. Breakfast was mostly based on what you could buy from nearby Lidl. Absolutely no effort from hotel/restaurant management to offer something local or "homemade". Overall, the hotel was worn out, the room could not be less inviting. We tried to spent as less time there as possible. The only reason we booked this hotel was that nothing else was available for given dates. I honestly don't know how they can survive here but they do. Probably by accommodating tourist "overflow" when all other hotels are fully booked. This hotel, in a certain way, represents the average level of hospitality you get in Slovakia, both accommodation and restaurants. It also reflects, to certain extent, how people in Slovakia value their guests. Undoubtedly, the nature is beautiful but Slovaks generally treat their country badly. If you visit places like open-air museums of traditional architecture (Zuberec - Brestova, Nova Bystrica, Pribylina or Martin) you will understand how rich architectural history there is in Slovakia, however, only in museums. I really wish that tourism services are provided by people who are educated and trained. The best, in Austria or in nearby Zakopane (Poland). The owner(s) should consider selling this place to someone who can put his/her heart and soul into this place.

As I was late against my journey timetable I have to stay in this hotel one night unexpectedly. Pleasant and beautifle (as Slovac girls are) receptionist offered a small discount and in 5 minutes I was in nice and spacy room (with 3 beds, no surcharge for one person only). Afterwards I could enjoy 10% discount in "Koliba" hotel restaurant with excellent meals (I can reccomend bean soup and roasted camember cheese) and good local Beer. After quiet night (windows to woods) I wonder if breakfast would be also excellent. More then expected. Broad choice, e.g. several local sheep cheese, very good. Even it can cause some delay, as it is not easy to start mountain climb immidietly after few local sweets (as breakfast final part). To confirm my testimony (not being an hotel emploee or owner!) I met and had a chat with several hotel quests from Israel. I was told that this is a favorit hotel in the area for many Israelis, as it is recommended in some Izraeli version of "lonely planet". I was working in Israel for more then 3 years in 90ties and I know that Israelis could be nightmare quests for hotel owners not rendering good enough hotel services. Do not miss "Diery" 5 minutes off hotel. These water deep canyons are beatiful. I reccoment Nordic stics and good tracking shoos. Local stone is slipy when wet (it is wet all the time...)

Garni Hotel Fatra s kapacitou 40 lôžok je situovaný v rekreačnej zóne obce priamo pod amfiteátrom, lanovým parkom , malým pivovarom a relaxačným centrom.
As a couple we've spent here a whole weekend. Hotel Fatra has very good location. There is many things to see around the hotel e.g. Brewery Vŕšky(300m), Centre of Terchová (1km), Jánošíkove Diery (1.5km). Our room was very nice, tidy and spacious. The mountain-side balcony offered a great view. The breakfasts were really good and tasteful. The owner was very kind and helpful. Big thumbs up! I highly recommend this hotel for a couples of any age and families with children.

Set in Terchova and with Vratna Free Time Zone reachable within 8 km, Janosikova Valaska Pension & Restaurant offers a bar, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a shared lounge. We offer apartments with private kitchenette and one room. All units at Janosikova Valaska come with a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Guests at the accommodation can enjoy a continental breakfast.
Lovely property, very nice room with kitchenette, wooden floorboards, lots of space, all in great condition. Shower was ok. The 2km distance from Terchova only matters if you wish to have a beer there which means half an hour's walk to town. Being law abiding beer drinkers we got a ride to town with the friendly owner. Breakfast was ok, WiFi excellent, and as seems to be the case everywhere we stayed, BYO soap and shampoo. Really excellent stay and excellent value.

We spent a night here at this beautiful Penzión, set in a stunning location. Perfect for a short or day long walk around the area with various difficulties to choose from. Staff are excellent, welcoming and couldn't do more for you. Room was light, fresh and airy as you'd like in heat of summer with ensuite and a very comfy bed. Food and drink is top notch too, so I'd recommend eating there. Ticks all the boxes, so five stars for me; highly recommended.

Take a break from the urban hustle in the heart of beautiful mountains Mala Fatra - Štefanová! Chalet with the distinctive name Pod Lampasom(“Under lantern”) offer its services in the form of mountaing lodging in Vratna dolina, just below the popular turist destination Velky Rozsutec. Visit us on your mountain hike and taste the delicious cuisine from Terchova, which has no equivalent in Slovakia. Our staff does its job with enthusiasm, therefore our guests like to return regularly. Your comfort is our concern, therefore we are proud that the quality of our service is held at high level.
Was there with a group of 10 adults. It is perfectly located for hiking the Janosikove diery, Velky Rozsutec and the Mala Fatra ridge. The restaurant doesnt offer a wide choice but what is being served is well cooked and tasty. Excellent service too. No late night drinking. The breakfast bufe could have been bigger but it good enough for a walk in the hills. The newly reconstructed part has very nice rooms.
