We stayed here for 3 nights on arrival to Morocco. We arrived late and the owner welcomed us with tea and asked if we wanted dinner (despite it being 10pm). We accepted and about an hour later we were served a lovely meal by the in house chefs/housekeepers. The following 3 nights were lovely and the outside pool area is beautiful. ‘Les Trois Palmiers Restaurant’ is about 5 minutes away on the coast and is brilliant, a nice break from Moroccan cuisine - there is a bar next door to the restaurant where you can watch the sunset before your meal and I’d highly recommend visiting here if you are In the area. There isn’t a great deal to do in Temara and around the hotel but if you are staying here then I’d recommend staying in Riad Alhambra.

I arrived in Temara late at night by hire car, with a copy of my reservation made through booking.com. I stopped at a cafe to ask for directions and two young men kindly offered to drive to the address, with me following in my vehicle. It took us more than half an hour to find the place (talking by mobile phone to the owner when we first reached what we thought was the destination). Turned out the address of the property was not as listed on my document. We eventually arrived just before midnight. Shambolic set up for VERY basic apartment (which didn't even have a towel in the bathroom). Avoid this place at all costs. If I could rank the review categories below with zeros instead of 1s then I would.

Horrible hotel Stayed there for one night only, then moved to Rabat for 5 star Hotel. Local area is horrible, loads of poor people hanging around hotel, there are literally no tourists at all. No wifi, as it promised on their official website. No hot water unless you ask for it, and then they switch on the boiler saying it will take 10 min, which is realistically takes 1 hour. We were staying during Ramadan, so it was very noisy night time as they all celebrate. There are no buffet breakfast as at the all normal hotels. you have to say that you want to eat, and then they bring food to the room ( you never know what food you will get), there was no menu to order. Beach is on the doorstep, but what a horrible beach, better nothing then this. Dog poo everywhere on the sand, water is so dirty that you don't even want to deep your feet. Nothing to see locally, all the attractions are in Rabat anyway. Next day we found a local hairdresser salon and use their wifi to book another hotel for the rest of our holiday in Rabat so we run away that day.

Stayed a week. Restaurant serves excellent food, at good prices. Breakfast often starts a little late and the bread which is the main part often late, but that the only real criticism. My room was more than adequate. Decoration a little dated, and needing some maintenance, but still very good.

I went for a hammam and a massage at the dolce vita hotel: the robes were worn out, I have my doubts over the cleanliness of the hammam and I only realized afterwards that I'd didn't get a new scrubbing glove (gross!) for my treatment. Further: there was no refreshments like water or tea (unlike other Moroccan spas I've visited with similar prices), and although the people were nice the service was close to inexistent. Never again!
