Fermain Valley Hotel is nestled in a secluded tree topped location on the south coast of the island, just 5 minutes away from the capital St Peter Port. It prides itself as an eatery with 3 dining options located on the property, to appease all food tastes. The Ocean Restaurant, is the hotels seasonal restaurant and provides an array of fresh fish and provincial food delicacies in summer season. Alternatively there is one of the islands premier steakhouses onsite, The Rock Garden Steak House with sophisticated Cocktail bar and outdoor snug. Finally if you prefer latino influenced cuisine we have an onsite modern Mexican called Búho, located in the Venue, it challenges the convention. The hotel offers extensive public areas from cozy fire side lounges to a private cinema for guests use, with also use of an indoor-heated swimming pool and sauna. Complimentary high speed wireless is accessible throughout the hotel. The Fermain Hotel is renowned for its warm and friendly welcome.
I spent 4 nights here, the room was comfortable, the shower was incredible very powerful. Staff very good and helpful. Breakfast excellent, the Ocean restaurant was closed due to lack of staff. There are options a steakhouse and a Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel are both excellent I ate at both and enjoyed all the meals I had. It can get noisy there was a barbecue one day the noise was very loud with rooms overlooking the patio no getting away from the drum and bass. The beach is a steep walk down a hill and seems even steeper walking back up. St Peter Port is a 40 min walk away worth a visit

I am a seasoned traveller. I stayed a night at this hotel this week and checked out this morning. I was there for a short overnight in Guernsey whilst making an urgent visit to the island. The receptionist provided fantastic service and gave a great deal of detail to help me decide to book the room at this hotel. Unfortunately, although best western claim that its cheaper to book directly, it turns out this was not true as they would only offer me the same rate as on various booking websites. Not a big deal but they should really consider taking down their adverts claiming this if it is not true. Rooms are great with no concerns. Nice location close to the town / bus terminus. Be prepared to walk up a steep hill on your way from town. The main issues started during dinner and continued during breakfast…. Dinner service is extremely poor. No check back during meals so could not highlight problems with my food nor order more drinks. There was no black pepper left in the mill (shame nobody checked it beforehand as surely you would do that before opening) and the waiter told me that the pasta had chilli flakes but sadly that was not true and the food was bland and not what I was expecting / described at all. As I couldn't get anyone’s attention nor anybody attending to the table, I just accepted the food as it was. I am not exactly going to get off my bar stool / high table and go to find someone to help me when they could not be bothered to attend to my table. Then as my plates were being cleared, I ordered another cocktail. Sadly the cocktail never arrived and after waiting 10-15 mins, I gave up and insisted on the bill. The waiter came over after asking for the bill informed me that they have no rum left (bearing in mind the restaurant is part of a bar) and just gave me the bill!! The waiter gave the impression that I should be happy not to be charged for the drink that never arrived!! Out of courtesy they could have told me earlier and given the option to at least order another drink - instead I left without another drink. If the staff were genuinely apologetic then they would have at least given other options (whether I pay for it or not). The level of hospitality is very disappointing and it seems like the experience is not very guest orientated and very robotic. Then I thought it must be a one off but sadly breakfast was the same. I arrived and no staff members were there! I stood around for a while and then found myself a table. I was short on time and I had a plane to catch. I knocked a number of times on the kitchen door but sadly nobody attended. After waiting 10-15 minutes, an apologetic member of staff eventually came and took my breakfast order. To be fair to the hotel, as my food arrived, another few members of staff arrived but it isn’t exactly a level or service you would expect. I usually stay at top end hotels around the world, but I certainly wouldn't class this hotel as being a traveller’s choice hotel from my experience being there for 1 night. What concerned me the most was that although the rooms were great, sadly the corridors (including fire exits) were filled with bundles towels / bedding. Surely your own fire risk assessments would not accept putting obstructions on fire escape routes and put guests at risk? Anyway, I have made it back home and enjoying a glass of rum! Clearly the hotel must be doing something right as its busy and 5 star rating on Tripadvisor but my experience is more to the contrary. Please do reach out to me once you have some more rum!!

Exceeding expectations with exceptional food, traditional hospitality and beautifully designed rooms, we welcome you as a friend returning home.
Excellent food and exemplary service, Byron is a star, Old Government House has a lovely atmosphere and ambience. Nothing more to add, but for some reason TripAdvisor wants a huge long essay so this is me wasting space

What a delightful stay my husband and I had on our first visit to this beautiful island. The hotel was just what we wanted - lovely spacious room, bathroom very new with non slip shower and floor which is important to me. The bar and restaurant were excellent - we had dinner the first evening and just a bar snack the second. Breakfast was simply beautiful - one of the best we have ever come across. Staff very friendly -nothing too much trouble. Just perfection. We would definitely not want to stay anywhere else. Thank you

Les Rocquettes is a former manor house dating back to 1765, first transformed into a hotel after the German Occupation in the 1940's. over the past 20 years the hotel has been extended and upgraded to offer 50 hotel rooms, 2 apartments, health suite with indoor pool, steam room, sauna and well equipped gym as well as a restaurant and two bars. Located approximately one mile from the centre of St Peter Port, les Rocquettes has car parking and the local buses stop frequently outside. les Rocquettes also offers tranquil, attractive gardens in which to relax as well as lounge areas.
Food good, staff very friendly. Unfortunately management care more about walk-in customers in the public Oak Bar than the residents. The hotel bar is closed due to staffing shortage. We went into the Oak at 6 o’clock to have a drink before our evening meal. However, all the tables were reserved and numerous staff were standing around waiting for the presumed rush. Surely one person could run the hotel bar? We walked to a nearby pub, The Doghouse, where the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had a great meal. After our meal, we walked back to the hotel to find lots of tables still reserved and still no room for residents. Residents were sitting in the hotel bar and having to walk through the dining area to the Oak to buy a drink.

La Collinette Hotel, Cottages and Apartments is located in St Peter Port, just a short walk through colourful Candie Gardens, to the seafront and shops . Open throughout the year, La Collinette Hotel is truly your home from home in Guernsey, whether on business or on holiday. The hotel is modern, civilised and above all, extremely comfortable. Highly recommended, the warmest of welcomes awaits you!
I love this hotel. It is fantastic value for money. The hotel is in a swish area and looks and feels very elegant. I love the feel of it. The lovely Frenchman (I think!) added to the sophistication on tge front door when I entered. Clean, very pleasant rooms. Lovely hot shower. I had the best fish in chips ever in the restaurant. I hate mushy peas but these changed all that. They were very pleasant indeed, and the fish was so fresh in great fresh batter. This Hotel has a great feel about it with lovely staff.

St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is dedicated to providing our guests with warm and genuine hospitality. Located in 35 acres of stunning grounds just 1 mile from St Peter Port, it is the one of the most well equipped hotels in Guernsey for business events and conferences. The hotel also offers a variety of dining options, top spa treatments and one of only three golf courses on the island.
Having paid £850.00 nineteen days before for a room when i arrived i was told that i had only held the room on a card and not paid for it and they insisted i pay £704.00 before they gave me a room .After unpacking i went back to reception with my credit card receipt and bank account on my phone, after twenty minutes of arguments i was informed they would repay the £704.00 on to my card, When i had a shower the seal on the bath leaked and flooded the room, When i made a cup off coffee the milk was off as it was 14 weeks out of date they said it comes to us out off date. Do not go to this hotel it is rubbish.

We came as a family of 4 to spend 3 nights in Guernsey. We really enjoyed the guest house feel and the information provided by the staff. Tobie was friendly and accommodating, as we needed to request 3 early breakfasts for our days trips and travel and he was more than happy to help. Breakfast was varied and plentiful including fresh fruit and guernsey milk. Tobie was very helpful lending beach towels and there is a nice selection of fruit teas which we had in the evening in reception. The location is a 15 min walk from the bus terminal and centre of town, a nice walk along the sea. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily with a top up of teas and coffees in the room. We would stay here again if we visited guernsey! Thank you to those at st Georges.
