Wonderful Family Run Hotel!

Central location, right off the Wolfgansee and their ferries, close to the Zwolferhorn gondola up the mountain 2000 meters, and full of great hiking options. The hotel room was spacious with a lovely balcony to end the day with. Highly recommended!

A little remote and in a town with limited facilities
Reviewed By justin oYou can pre-order dinner otherwise the hotel only does breakfast and note you are seated by room number! Secure parking for our bicycles (we were cycling around the Salzkammergut). The hotel is part of a well spread out collection of guesthouses and private homes - more of a rural district than a town. Nearest town is a good 7 or 8 kilometres away so be prepared the ride a lot or have access to a car.

Reviewed By travelbird11Went to visit for a weekend had room 403 on the top floor it was such a great view (corner room) if you aren't short of cash would highly recommend the upgrade! Very clean hotel with friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet too! Central location loved the visit

Reviewed By Alan CAVOID. There were three rule changes between the end of the cancellation window and the date of the stay, not to mention that my partner got covid. This was the response I received when I asked for a refund or a date change. I understand that it’s not easy to be a hotel during a pandemic but I’ve never encountered anywhere so rude or inflexible. “No, you can come to us. You must be vaccinated. Our cancellation applies is to be paid.”

Reviewed By Arek GClean room, huge bathroom. Very favorable ratio price / quality. Very nice staff! As the name suggests this is a youth guest house. Do not expect bathrobes and swimming pools. But in a close position is a beach on Lake Wolfgang.

Housekeeping ladies were so friendly and jod at their job and receptionists as well. The hotel itself is in amazing destination. You can borrow a boat ?♀️ from the hotel anytime to be honest rowing around the lake was our trips highlight. The only bad thing about the hotel was WiFi very bad connection and slow internet . Guys please fix the internet because we are looking forward to come here again

The Perfect Accommodation!

Abersee is located on the shore of St. Wolfgang Lake between two beautiful towns, St. Gilgen and Strobl which you can reach both of them in about a 5 minute drive. The weather was very nice on the day we arrived to Hotel Aberseehof. We came to Aberseehof one more time in October since we really enjoyed the September holiday so much and we stayed two days of the 4 day trip this time. The weather got cold in October but was still lovely, fresh and energising! Even the snow arrived to the peaks of the mountains. First of all, the hotel is managed very professionally. You see that when you check-in. You are met with a professional and a friendly approach. You get all the info about the hotel, area and also about the private beach which is about 1.5 kms away. I have to say we really enjoyed the beach and the lake when we went to Abersee in September. If the weather is nice and warm, you should not miss it! We stayed at two different types of rooms. Both were so spacious and very comfortable rooms. The room with a view to the garden and mountains to both sides is just beautiful. The breakfast is excellent with quality food and nice service. The hotel is simply modern and so comfortable with everything you can ask for for a perfect accommodation. Simply, Abersee is a beauty and Aberseehof is one of the best of Abersee!

Cozy stay, the nicest location
Reviewed By Salla SVery nice place in the center of St Gilgen. Not too near of the most touristful beach promenade, easy to find and good restaurants are near. Short walk from St. Gilgen bus station and also the cable car up to the Zwölferhorn. Room was big and had everything needed. Interior was bit old and brown. Beds were comfortable, all was working and room was very clean. We had breakfast included, and it was very good buffet. All the staff persons were nice and helpful. We took a couple of hiking trips nearby and got good recommendations for them.
