The location is incredible could sit and watch the river all day. Explored the loop walk around the river, the waterfalls are not to be missed. The room was lovely and comfortable although beds are very squeaky!! Breakfast and dinner were very good lots of choice and good fresh ingredients. Will definitely return Couple of issues with service, seems they’ve recently had quite a few new staff, all in all a very enjoyable mini break

It is no Hilton!

Watch out for the misleading misnomer of a name. No way to charge your ( Euro plug) toothbrush or shaver. The bathroom does not have it. Also no fridge. Next to me there was a tour group.Poor things, their food ran out before everyone could eat.The utter contempt they were treated with was pathetic.( But ordering à la carte was fine!). An example of what this faux- Hilton thinks of its guests.Shame on you, Hilton in Hamilton, Scotland.

I arrived late after a long journey and Cathy the lady on Reception knew my name as I was only person not to have checked in. She made sure I had same room for following night after me booking an extra night. Then I had an issue with my room card and she brought one up to room. Brilliant welcome and fantastic personal service. Hotel as you would expect from Premier Inn. Really good!

My friend and I had a weekend here for a break from kids/husbands and housework! We had bed and breakfast the first night and dinner B&B for the second. Check in was good, the reception staff were lovely, very pleasant. The room was fine, quite old fashioned but clean enough. Saturday we went into the pool area which was not as good as it looks on the photos but was ok. We sat on the terrace in the afternoon just outside the bar as it was a roasting hot day. Very pleasant grounds and met some nice people. The bar staff seemed to all be brand new and the girl that served us seemed to be really peed off with life. Felt she could have been better presented too. We had a meal in the restaurant. The fryers were broken so couldn’t have the fish and chips. Had the burger and fries which was very mediocre. We had asked for a glass of wine which took a while to come, had to ask again for it. It came and it tasted awful so we asked them to change it, we then had to ask again 15 mins later, we had finished our meal before it turned up and the lady that gave it us seemed very put out that we had asked for it to be changed and said the previous wine we had been given was Pinot and she would prove it by showing us the bottle. We found her attitude very aggressive, we declined to see the “proof”. we waited 30 mins for dessert and had to ask after 20 mins where it was to be told that it hadn’t been put in yet but she would do it now! Not sure what kind of excuse that was? The service after the main was served was in summary super slow with poor attitude. We had ordered room service breakfast for 9am. It arrived at 9.30am and it was cold and no toast. We called for toast and didn’t have time to wait for a hot breakfast so ate it anyway and the toast arrived just as we had finished. Also didn’t get a cup for my tea so used one in the room already so no biggy. I mentioned the wine problem to the lady at check out who kindly took it off our bill. Also mentioned the cold breakfast just for feedback and she was very apologetic. The reception staff were definitely an asset to the hotel. All in all we found this hotel to be quite old fashioned, in parts lovely but definitely not a 4 star. Probably wouldn’t come back.

Have stayed in this hotel in the past. Has been left to rot and needs a make over. I wouldn't have minded, but the cleanliness wasn't brilliant. Sheets didn't fit the bed and had holes in. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was not nice. Breakfast however was beautiful. The redeeming factor had to be the staff. They were very friendly and welcoming.

We had another very pleasant stay at Premier Inn Hamilton. We were going into Glasgow for a meal and it is very handy to stay in Hamilton and take train into Glasgow. Hotel is fairly new and have stayed several times since it opened. Always clean and tidy with pleasant staff. Didn't eat in hotel this time but have had both breakfast and evening meals in past. All food is good. Even had Sunday roast before which was very good. Evening bar serves excellent cocktails! Will definitely return.
