Treated like idiots after reporting couldn’t wash due to broken shower tap. Had to dress and walk outside to report since phone also broken! Had to check out and afterwards advised by GM that both had been working all along. We must be idiots.

The Sonora Inn was built in 1896 and originally named the Hotel Victoria. The Inn has played host to notables and celebrities including Grace Kelly during the filming of High Noon and more recently Drew Barrymore while she worked on the film Bad Girls. The hotels architecture and finishes reflect the popular California Mission style of the 1920's that hosted Hollywoods elite during the golden era of tourism and film making. Centrally located in historic downtown Sonora, and with exceptional views from the roof top swimming pool, the historic California hotel is the perfect place for travelers with an interest in the historic Gold Rush and Yosemite National Park. There are countless adventures to be found in nearby historic towns, year round recreation attractions. Unique shops, local theater, boutique, wineries and both fine & casual dining. The Historic Sonora Inn towers 3 stories. The Historic Inn has recently been remodeled.
The shower barely had water coming out. The toilet seat was real loose. The place smelled old. The women that checked us in was fantastic. A tweeker came in as a few of us were trying to check in and she handled the situation calmly. The young man that made the coffee for the morning was so polite. A lot of upgrades need to be done.

The lady at the front desk was really nice and gave us tips about restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean with comfortable bed. There was also free parking. The hotel was close to the shops as well. The only problem was the internet which was very slow.

The Inn at Knowles Hill is terrific. Rhonda is an outstanding chef and creates the most fabulous breakfast. The service is outstanding. Between Rhonda and Megan, you are made to feel very special and they deliver a friendly atmosphere. Last but not least, Fred is a gem of a man. Definitely planning a return family trip

Oldest historic hotel in Sonora. Experience a bit of the past in one of the antique apponted rooms. Innkeepers breakfast each morning. Easy walking distance to great shopping and wonderful restaurants.
There is no doubt this place use to embrace it's guest in the past. There is some lasting charm of the previous owners. The current staff/owners are very kind but the facility needs major TLC. Several of the outdoor lights do not work, tile in our bathroom is cracked and the porch is leaning (uncertain if it is safe to stand on) and that is just a small list of repairs needed. Cleanliness is questionable. When we arrived they raved about their breakfast but the breakfast casserole was subpar and not fully cooked. The rest of breakfast consisted of funfetti cake, strawberry cake, carrot cake and cold corn muffins. Along with cereal, breads and diluted orange juice. No refrigerator or access to microwaves but this was not advertised. Pool was nice but we had to scoop out leaves and bugs to get in. This place has so much potential but it really needs to renovated badly. If you are just looking for a place to rest your head and don't care about the ameneties and breakfast it will suffice. Otherwise I suggest staying elsewhere until some care is put into the property.

Enjoy clean and comfortable rooms at an affordable price.
The room was clean, but the A/C unit was not working properly, there was something rattling all night on the roof (I was in second floor room) that kept waking me up, and the house phone kept blinking red. When I brought this up to the night front desk clerk, she said it does that sometimes and we don't know why, and had no response to the other complaint about the roof noise or the A/C. To add insult to injury, they offer a $5 off coupon for the restaurant next door, which is pretty good. The same clerk that had no answers on the things told me "you had a discount rate, so you don't get the coupons, but when I told that when I checked in the other clerk, a pleasant fellow, told me that I did receive them and gave me one for the first night. Then when I checked out, this same clerk that had the attitude told me because I paid for the room online that she couldn't gibe me a receipt! I have never heard of such a thing and this clerk was nothing but RUDE about it too. I had stayed here in previous years, but this place has deteriorated and now with the rude treatment I won't stay there anymore and have suggested to other friends that come to annual event in the Sonora area not to book any rooms there!

we are an one level motel close to downtown just a minute from Restaurants and Shopping 5 minutes away from Chicken Ranch Casino 20 minutes from Black Oak Casino 1 hour away from Yosemite
Homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. Someone tried entering our room at night. Weekly and monthly scum tenants playing loud music, drinking, yelling and screaming well past midnight. The office won’t answer the phone and the message machine is full. The non smoking rooms reek of cigarette smoke and other unidentifiable sells. I’ll sleep in my car before I stay here again.

Bradford Place Inn is a five room bed and breakfast inn serving business and leisure travelers in the California Gold Country near Yosemite National Park. Bradford Place is just one block from the popular main street of historic downtown Sonora, California. Behind its white picket fences are flower filled gardens, lattice arbors and fashionable market umbrellas. Linger if you desire because check out isn't until noon!
Beautiful old house with fabulous furnishings. Room was quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Short walk to town, about one block. Kimberly went out of her way to ensure our comfort; from breakfast tomorrow to finding a dry cleaner. Breakfast was delicious and creative. Complaints, none . A real pleasure

We just left this fabulous BnB in Sonora and I can not say enough great things about this place. From the floors to the ceilings , everything was exquisite! High quality everything. The bed was soooo cozy we didn’t want to get up! There was everything we could possibly need as far as plates, refrigerator, oven, family room and top quality linens and towels! We can not wait to go back! Thank you Royal Olive Manor for such a wonderful stay!
