Within a short period of time we have had 2 big family occasions at Donnington Manor. The first was a Golden Wedding and the second an 80th Birthday. Both times the staff provided us with superb food and drink, were very friendly and helpful. There is a great atmosphere in timbered dining room , the bar area for pre dinner drinks is ideal.

Escape to Sevenoaks, the scenic, historic town in Kent - a paradise for nature-lovers. For a taste of the town's medieval history, the National Trust Ightham Mote manor house is a must-see - you'll love exploring the incredible 14th century estate, complete with moat and gardens. No stay in Sevenoaks would be complete without visiting Knole House, the country estate that's also home to a deer park, or Emmetts Garden, ideal for relaxing walks and countryside views. Fancy a spot of shopping? Head to the high street for all your faves. After a long day of exploring, you can look forward to a tasty meal back at our in-house Thyme restaurant.
A very good Premier Inn. Very clean and good location. Parking close by £8 a day. Close to Sevenoaks station , so a good base for visiting central London. I recommend the breakfast, cooked very fresh and a friendly staff team.

I choose Premier Inn because I need a comfortable but lower budget hotel. I have stayed at a number of Premier Inns and they do vary somewhat in quality/standard. Although the rooms are similar, there are various small details which make them better or worse than each other. This Premier Inn has free parking (some don't) (+1), this Premier Inn is not near any convenience shops (some are) (-1), this Premiere Inn has air conditioning / heaters in rooms (some don't) (+1), this Premier Inn has well maintained and clean bathrooms (some don't) (+1). This is one of the top Premiere Inns I have stayed in - I have stayed in this one twice in the last month or two, each time in a different room - and I will definitely return.

This sophisticated Georgian mansion, built in 1806, is the perfect venue for weddings as well as meetings, events and private dining. Thirty eight beautifully furnished rooms offer all the latest modern amenities - and when you have finished resting, you are welcome to drop in at the Health Club and Spa, a great place to work out, relax or unwind. Despite its rural location, it is within easy reach of major motorways and London, as well as Gatwick and Heathrow airports, the south coast and the Channel Tunnel.
The hotel is simply far too expensive for what it provides. Pros are that the grounds are lovely and staff reasonably friendly. Cons: poorly staffed ( not enough people), lacklustre service, horrid dining experience at lunch, very salty sandwich ( declined dinner and went to bed hungry ), average room with tired decor and a stained carpet. All for over £200 a night for an executive room. The spa was ok but too many kids on arrival. Massage ok but, again, overpriced. I wish I’d paid a bit more at a different hotel and got a better experience.

Lovely old pub in idyllic spot, lucky to get an outside table in the garden. All good. Staff charming. Would have been better for a long boozy lunch, rather than hoping for a casual pub lunch to round off a walk. Not that the menu offered much casual food, just the fancy a la carte. The simplest dish on the menu was the burger, sounds simple, should be good. An hour later, we got our burgers, which more of a large ball of dried out beef on in a brioche, ok chips and some decent coleslaw. Could have been so much more. In future would stop for a drink but head elsewhere for food.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip, the staff were incredibly friendly and the food that was served was of a high standard for every meal. The room I stayed in for both nights was spacious, comfy and was kept in immaculate condition. Very impressed. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and next time I am in the area I will be staying here, without a doubt.

A typical motor way hotel. Tired, smelly and in need of a tart up. Would be suitable for a truck driver in need of a bed for the night and other desperate souls in need of a bed. Would avoid unless desperate….

Firstly let me say the staff that we met were friendly abd professional. We stayed in Room 10 and to be honest we were really disappointed. The decor is very dated, the carpets are old and dirty. The furniture whilst servicable is very dated. The bathroom whilst relatively clean is very outdated and the toilet is not fastened to the floor and the boards around it appear to be rotten. There is grout missing from the tiles and the bath panel is cracked. The bed was massive and really comfy so for one night was OK. The public areas are in desperate need of updating the carpets are old and really dirty, there are anti slip edges to the stairs but these are peeling and look unsightly. The hand rail is loose on the turn of the stairs. Breakfast was OK but the bacon was dried out and not freshly cooked. My partner wanted a runny poached egg but recieved a solid yolk. Over all whilst the location is great Green King need to get the fabric of the building sorted and upgrade the rooms as currently they are not worth the £85 a night for the room we stayed in and breakfast was not up to a great standard.
