Reviewed By S FAlthough everything is to a high standard, staff is very approachable and down to earth. They make sure everyone is looked after, including children. The quiet room is comfortable and there are libraries, games rooms and a private park. Attractive hiking and a hill for tobogganing right outside the hotel. Food is high quality, healthy cuisine (not suitable for vegans, but likely doable upon request). It's very clean and includes many services that make this such a relaxed place.

Vey nice hotel in a beautiful environment.
Reviewed By Journey61225268510Very nice stay in a luxury environment. We had full-board with great food. A BBQ evening was organised with was a nice informal break from the dinners in the restaurant. Room was spacious and well equipped. No AC which was not a problem because the weather was moderate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room we had faced the main road. Somewhat noisy in the morning unless you close the windows.

Reviewed By DoMeAFavourStayed here for a few nights in the very well appointed Panorama Suite. Plenty of free parking. Very nice staff in all areas. They really made us feel like they cared about making their guests happy, and they surely did. Excellent food, both in terms of quality and presentation. Buffet breakfast very substantial. Light lunch provided and a huge buffet every evening which sometimes started with an appetiser brought to the table. Good wine list. They’ve done a great job expanding this hotel a few years ago. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By maaykec2017Great NYE and long weekend in the beautiful mountains of Sauerland supported by o special home base in this hotel. Dinners cooked by the hist and owner are balanced and good. Continental breakfast and diverse wine, beer and schnaps accompanied by the humor and sparkling couple made this stay joyful and cheerful. Many tips for trailing. In the center of a village where time stood still.

Reviewed By PlojskiThis hotel really is one of a kind. It is located in a tiny village, perfect for us since we were looking for a quiet place to do some winter hikes. The pool and spa area isn't the largest but everything is really clean and there's plenty of things to try. We personally loved the waterbed hydromassage. We opted for the half-board formula. Breakfasts were extensive, serving ourselves with a glass of sekt in the morning gave it a nice extra touch. The 4-course meal was always on point, different every day, a choice of main dish and more then we could handle. Service was professional, warm and friendly. Our room, we chose the cheapest option, was nice and large and had a nice seating area. It had clearly been redecorated in the last years, was clean and had a great atmosphere. The modern bathroom was crisp and spacious, we loved the warm towels! :) Everyone working in this family run place really went all the way to try and make our stay unforgettable.

It is not easy to find, our Waldhaus. Actually, a confidential tip, situated in a sunny south slope of the Kahler Asten in the midst of meadows and woods. Here you find everything what dresses up vacation: A generous residential atmosphere, comfortable flats and suites, an excellent kitchen and a look which allows to believe you, you are alone in this world. In the chimney the fire crackles and invites you to drop yourself in the comfortable armchairs and to forget the journey with a welcome drink.

The Breakfast buffet is out of this world and we received the most personal and heartwarming hospitality. Our one-year-old son had the time of his life in the pool, the room and nature outside. Everything was perfectly organized for him and us. We will surely come again and can recommend this hotel to anyone, that loves good food and relaxing in luxury.

Set in the beautiful town of Schmallenberg surrounded by wonderful countryside, this German hotel/restaurant is the ideal place to stay. The eating areas / bar have a wonderfully German charm, with all manner of traditional German dishes on offer. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. A real gem.

Very German hospitality in a nice hotel
Reviewed By Roeland MBeautifull location,a bit noisy because of a main road. Perfect for pensioners,but not for younger people. Great walks,nice nature. A very strict household,run by a nice family. What they do it done properly,but not very customer focussed. You are assigned to a table,you have to pick from thr limited menu in the morning. It is all done correctly,but lacks warmth. The food sounds and look much better th as n it sctually tastes.

Reviewed By Ursula2302Upon arrival the hotel, in family hands since its opening, appears on first sight a bit "old fashioned" , but the rooms in the new wing are fine with fantastic view and silence. Only a little waterflow can be heard, really excellent. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is fine. In direct neighbourhood skipistes and good restaurants.

Das alles gibt es zu einem guten Preis! Man kann diese Pension nur empfehlen. Gute Restaurants in fußläufiger Entfernung und ein tolles Frühstück sollten nicht unerwähnt bleiben.
