Reviewed By SchiffiWe stayed here 4 nichts and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are great, the surroundings are very silent, the conference rooms are great, the food is good. Only small minus was that the kitchen was a bit inflexible (only serve lunch for every one simultaneously)

Outstanding in all respects
Reviewed By Jammy JPossibly my favourite hotel ever. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The shower in our bathroom was enormous! The location is ideal for visiting a wide range of different places. The hotel is in the very centre of the pretty village of Scheidegg, right next door to the church. You do hear the church bells ring and, if you sleep with the windows open, you will hear locals going about their business in the mornings. For us this really added to the charm of the hotel. We had an excellent breakfast in the hotel every morning and ate dinner in the restaurant twice. I honestly can't recommended Zum Hirschen highly enough. Many thanks to everyone there for making our stay so memorable.

Great accommodation. Payment is cash only, no Credit cards accepted.

We were disappointed however that the property manager/owner refused to accept payment via Credit Card."The payment machine was 'broken' and would take 6 weeks for the bank to provide a replacement" we were told. If you are planning to stay here, don't expect to be able to pay by credit card, regardless of what may be printed on your booking confirmation.
