Beware of reservation policy
Reviewed By Q7581YYclaudiamI made a reservation through Expedia and realized I had made an error on the date of the booking. I cancelled one minute later and the hotel has taken a fifty percent of the booking and refuses to waive the penalty or credit it to a future stay. I sent an email to them and they promised to refund the money but now they have denied the refund. They have taken $200 for a reservation 9 months ahead of time.

Quirky and beautiful
Reviewed By 30gillaA small beautiful guest house, easy to walk into the town and access the swim areas. The room was lovey, spotlessly clean and with everything needed. The air conditioning was very welcome and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a continental style buffet with plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay and hope to visit again. He staff were very helpful and we wanted for nothing.

Great stay with the great host!
Reviewed By mieketauIt was our first time in Sao Jorge island and we were traveling with our 16 month old daughter. Joana was an excellent host! Before we arrived (from Pico island by ferry) she made sure we had all the information needed and she had organised a rental car. We didn’t arrive at the nearest port so she made sure we had all the to-do-places before arriving at the Quinta. Starting from the breakfast place, to the Fajã where we could easily swim with our baby! How thoughtful of her! It was all already so welcoming. We stayed in the little house with kitchen and it was perfect for us. Everything was very comfortable, the bathroom, the bed, etc. And very clean! It was very clear that Joana puts her heart and soul in the Quinta. Therefore it really felt homey. We truly recommend this to our friends. And next year we will be back. Wonderful rustic charm!
Reviewed By wrmnk001OK, this place may be a little tired and the rooms could possibly do with an update but this hotel had charm! The position on the edge of town, the wonderful views through to the ocean and of course Maria our host. The breakfast was a low key affair taken in the highest point of the hotel to maximise the views. This is a great base in Sao Jorge even though a car is essential.

The perfect place for a restful stay
Reviewed By Rimi CWaking up to the views of Pico Mountain just outside my door, sleeping with the stars and lullabies of the Cory Shearwaters, this was a truly magical place that I look forward to returning to. The suites are thoughtfully designed for aesthetic and comfort, the breakfasts are fantastic with their fresh squeezed juices and selection of breads, fruits and cheeses, and the hosts genuinely care about their guests. I enjoyed my time here and look forward to my return.

Recommend to have breakfeast and dinner with them, fresh food, prepared with imagination and care! It is definetely Best place to stay in the whole island

Old hospital converted in hotel
Reviewed By 737alessiomThe hotel is builded over an old hospital. The old ower, follow all the guest movements inside the hotel. There room are right size for the number that they have to stay. The breakfast is in the average. Some day the bar\pizza place in the hotel is open, but at 22:00 closed. They first ask for cash payment, but later they use electronic payment (via booking).Wifi included

Reviewed By Irina MNew spacious rooms in a two-story house rebuilt from an old family nest, with a cozy homely atmosphere. Incredible view of the Pico mountain! You also can enjoy sew view non-stop staying in this place. Exceptional cleanliness both in the rooms and common areas. Spacious common space both inside and outside the house. New modern comfortable furniture, very comfortable beds and linens. At the same time, part of the furniture objects in common areas of the house - old family items renovated by the owners. The house has everything you need for cooking. Very attentive friendly staff/owners, they always ask if everything is enough and what else might be needed. Local oranges, bananas, homemade bread and cookies and small jars of homemade jam were introduced by the owners on the kitchen table every morning, which was a very nice touch! There is the Sunset Bar nearby as well as several restaurants. It is possible to rent bicycles and surfing equipment straight from the hosts.
