We stayed here for work so didn’t know we were coming here until 2 hours before check-in and I don’t think I’ve ever called the office to complain quick enough. The outside was bad, the inside was bad, the bedrooms were bad, the bathrooms were bad. The hallways were bad, the decor was bad, the shower only worked if you were 4ft tall so that was bad. The general atmosphere was cold and damp with an undertone of cannabis -homely indeed. Our rooms didn’t have natural daylight, the windows opened onto an indoor room with some lights and a piece of plastic grass? It looked more like a dogging hotspot than a garden. Oh and, all night long we were serenaded by the 360 degree sounds of bed frames creaking and caressing the walls. Not to mention the moaning. GOD, the moaning! Though it might have been a tape recording to distract us from the painful decor around us. The towels were very soft though, I’ll give them that. In short, if you’re not staying here for some rumpy pumpy or a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Birchley Island roundabout (just off the M5 in Oldbury) ….then god help you.

Just up the road from the M5 and the M6, Premier Inn Hotel West Bromwich is right at the heart of the action. If you're away on work, the Black Country is only a short drive away, while Birmingham is just up the road too. Take the nearby Metro into Birmingham or Wolverhampton to enjoy a great day out without the hassle of driving. Or travel back in time at the Black Country Museum to see the industrial heritage. Drayton Manor and West Midlands Safari Park are well worth a visit too. At the end of the day, come back to a tasty meal in our restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Easy check in, and a clean, comfortable and quiet room and a really good night's sleep, which is the main reason I book with Premier Inn whenever possible. Easy to return to my room after a late night out, but equally very secure. Easy checkout the next day, and all at a reasonable price. I'd definitely return to this Premier Inn, based on the friendliness of its staff and location. Thanks Premier Inn for being very consistent and keeping up the high standards for stays, of which I've had dozens over the last ten years, mostly leisure.

Oldbury is the perfect place to explore the jewels of the Midlands like the Black Country Living Museum or Dudley Castle Zoo. See how our ancestors lived at the Black Country Museum, or how chocolate is made at Cadbury World. Attend a convention at Bethnel Centre or a match at West Brom. Our friendly team will help you enjoy your stay to the full. After a day of exploring, return for a lovely meal in our new Cookhouse and Pub restaurant just next door. Then head back to our spacious rooms and extra-comfy beds to ensure you wake up refreshed and ready for another day on the go.
The hotel was in a good location. Close to restaurant and take away. Quiet even though close to a busy road. Didn't have to travel far to places like Black Country Museum and Cosford air museum. Good value too.

Unbelievably the condition of the fire doors was shocking. Poorly operating doors with gaps so big you could fit a hand under them (staircase to fire exit). 2nd floor was an eye opening to how these big firms don't follow inspection routines. On duty manager was clueless and still I've had no response from him or head office after I emailed them. Coat hooks in the room were hanging out the wall, the cupboard was bodged back together, the bathroom floor had broken tiles, the toilet seat was loose. Limited choice for breakfast, what was out was soggy and looked like it had been reheated from previous day. Good location, large carpark, decent price.

Located 5 mins from Jct 2 M5, stunningly decorated & newly built in '08, 81 rooms all en-suite, chic restaurant, free WiFi, lift.
There are some poor reviews for this venue, but my experience was very different. Room was clean and everything worked fine. 3 nights stay, no issues. Yes, there was a mismatch of furniture, but didn’t affect my stay. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. I ate there in the evening and had the buffet breakfast each morning. The food is adequate, nothing special and portions are good. The only issue I had is beyond the hotel’s control. It can be difficult to leave the car park during the rush hour on the Wolverhampton Rd. I would use again.

Staff friendly and very helpful especially on arrival, room comfy, clean, and aired. Dog friendly with a lovely walking area out the back within easy access. We were able to enjoy an evening meal just two minutes walk from travelodge. We have stayed at Oldbury travelodge on several occasions over the years and never had any cause for complaint, and have enjoyed our stay there.

Our Premier Inn West Bromwich Town Centre (New Square) hotel is ideal if you're visiting the West Midlands. You'll have the scenic Sandwell Valley Country Park right on your doorstep if you're looking for things to do with the kids - go for a family bike ride, play a round of crazy golf, or visit the exciting adventure playground. Football fans can catch a game at The Hawthorns stadium, and history-lovers can check out the Black Country Living Museum. Plus, you can look forward to a tasty meal back at our Cookhouse and Pub restaurant.
I chose this hotel as it was close to a studio where my band was recording.. and I'm so happy with my choice! I stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveller and absolutely loved the hotel. The member of staff on reception was so friendly and welcoming... such a lovely start to my stay. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable! Some great vending machines close to the lifts too for a bit of hotel snacking! Loads of parking and lots of shops just across the road. I've already booked for another stay! Highly recommended and friendly to LGBTQ+ travellers.

This is a review for the hotel aspect of the pub (though I note that reviews have been mixed up between the two entries on TripAdvisor, so I will include our review for the pub itself as well). What attracted me to this place as a hotel was its quirkiness, the large car park, and the uniqueness of the menu and the beers on offer. The plus points are the quirkiness of the place, and the friendly and helpful (mostly female) staff. As the pub is very popular, to ensure getting a meal it's important to book in advance - though demand seems to fall off as it gets late, so it may sometimes be possible to get a meal after 8pm without booking. There are pies on offer for non-meat eaters, and we particularly enjoyed the jackfruit pie. Though, unless you want a heavy pie meal every night, the menu is a little limited for those staying for more than one night. The beers are specially brewed for the pub by Dig Brew in Digbeth, Birmingham. All of them are tasty - my two favourites were the Lump Hammer Gold and the Sledgehammer Pale Ale. There are a little crude though, and have the flavour of a home brew about them. A little under fermented perhaps. However, it was a particular delight to be able to take a fresh pulled beer up to our room each night! Even though busy, the girls at the bar were always relaxed and cool and ready for a little chat. It is quite enterprising to turn the upstairs rooms into hotel rooms, though the rooms are not fully up to hotel standard. There isn't a suitable desk and chair. The furniture was chosen to look quirky rather than to be practical, and is very flimsy. Many of the rooms are not ensuite, and it is worth checking that you have got an ensuite room if that is important to you. Not all rooms have opening windows. The upstairs corridor and the bathrooms have motion sensitive lights which are particularly frustrating, and are the main reason why our rating tips to poor rather than on balance be average. All too often we had to walk in a dark corridor, vainly flapping our arms around to get the lights to work, then giving up and feeling for our door. In the bathroom, the light will go out while sitting on the toilet, causing more arm flapping. But worse is the light going out while using the shower, as it seems no amount of arm flapping will cause it to come back on unless you open the shower door. And then to cap it all, the light stays on when you leave the bathroom for several minutes, and we wondered just how much money and energy was actually wasted by this system because we always turn the light out when leaving the bathroom. |Grrrr. Another aspect which helped tip this over into poor, is the thin walls, and poor design. We could clearly hear the neighbours - their snoring, their farting, and their use of the toilet (all details, not just the flushing noise). Given the location and the basic features of the rooms, it seemed to us that this place would be mostly used by male contractors only stopping over for a day or two. It doesn't really seem to be appropriate for customers such as ourselves - a family having a holiday break in the area. As regards the large car park. At busy times the car park will be full.
