The Travel Charme Kurhaus Binz is located directly at the sea bridge and only the promenade separates from the kilometre-long white sandy beach of the largest Baltic seaside resort on the island of Rügen. The imposing building with over 100 years of history has 137 rooms, suites and residences. Every single room combines the historical flair of the place with the modern style of the hotel. The same goes for the two restaurants, the bar and the café. From the Puria Spa to the fireplace room: Relaxed, unobtrusive and airy, light - simply perfect for a holiday experience on the Baltic coast!
Delighted with the time I spent in Kurhaus Binz last year, we decided to come back for a few days` stay. We were very happy to see that the difficult times (COVID – 19) did not influence the standards executed in the hotel. – Our room was exactly as beautiful as the one where we had been put up last year. Again, it represented both style and comfort, it was immaculately clean, with beautiful bed linen that was so white and wrinkless that everybody would love to have it at home. This time in the room - we were also offered free soft drinks which included mineral water – replenished every day. Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant and was as delicious as last year. – With various kinds of fruit, my favourite Bircher muesli and a wide choice of smoked fish, sausage and eggs, to which one could help themselves – clearly wearing a facial mask. Another thing that had not changed was the fact that in spite of the size of the hotel, one didn`t really get to meet any other people unless they want to. It was only in the hotel restaurant that we noticed that there were other holidaymakers staying at the hotel, too. – This was quite important in the COVID times… Speaking about other security measures in the hotel, there were disinfections liquids at each of the entrances and the guests were obliged to wear facial masks in public areas of the hotel, excluding restaurant tables. – This obligation was tactfully executed. – Staff wore the masks, too. – All this made us feel a little bit more secure and confirmed that things could get back to what they had used to be.

the hotel does not offer a view on the Ostsee. The building is old and the way to the room was quite a challenge with a heavy suitcase. Our room was small but nice and ok since we stayed just for a night. Great breakfast in a great room on the 3rd floor.

I stayed for one night. Small but very functional room. Nice add-ones ( mineral water and pralines). Very friendly staff, terrific Spa (several teas and mineral water included). As the hotel is directly situated by the sea side, it is possible to have a bath in the sea, after the sauna.

It was all perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and the service is very attentive to the costumer request. The spa is awesome. The location is very central and in 2 minutes walk you are right on the beach. My only remark is that the tv is not a smart-tv, therefore only standard tv is available. I also haven’t seen international channels.

Very nice apartment, great location, very nice swimmingpool area. But for a couple without children it was a bit too big and mostly made for families. We love Binz and this was a very good choice with reasonable price for us. The breakfast was good but we missed some things like bacon and ham.

Decided spontaneously to head up to Binz for a 4 day relaxation trip and booked a Junior Suite in this Hotel. The suite was very nice, all modern refurbished including a tablet with Hotel, town, tourist informations as the latest gadget. And although its in the center of town, the boardwalk, beach and ocean some 100 feet away, its pretty quiet. The staff at the reception was very friendly, supporting, and helpful - which is not that usual in Germany.

Central Hotel is located in the middle of the main pedestrian avenue in Binz leading to the sea bridge and it has a large restaurant in front. We stayed at the Mona Lisa Apartments which is 200 meters further and quite calm even thouth it's situated near the main street of Binz. in 5 minutes you can walk to the lake and in 15 minutes to the sea. The apartments are clean and spacious for two but it's even possible to use ask for a third bed ( couch bed in the living room). It's very cleen and everything is very convenient. The kitchen space is enough to make nice breakfast and even coock light meals. In front, across the street one of the oldest traditional restaurants is hightly to recommend.

After two stays in floating houses we tried a pile house. This was spacious and very comfortable for two persons (equipped with a large double bed). The view - if in one of the outer houses - is much better than in most of the floating houses. Even if the weather is cloudy or chilly - just stay in bed longer and enjoy the views through the large window front, watching the sea birds. The small kitchenette hidden in a cupboard is equipped to prepare a light meal or breakfast for two (croissants and buns will be delivered to the door upon request). Alternatively there is a restaurant in the resort with a good choice, also offering breakfast. In summer you may dive into the sea from your own terrace or platform an you may bring your own boat. In spring time you may alternatively go for a hike or rent a bike to explore the island and the nearby town of Putbus with a view sights and restaurants/cafés.
