Lovely suite, few service issues

It is much more dressed up room since we have used it few years ago - shortly after its opening, it has pictures, shelves and other decorative items making it look more homely in modern scando style. It is very spacious and clean and mini fridge had complimentary drinks. Windows open, we did not use aircon. I liked that it was switched off upon arrival. Temperature was comfortable, not too warm or cold. Bathroom is superb with softest bathrobes I have ever had! They even add Rituals toiletries. Parking is free in front of the hotel but not gated. As gold member I got little handwritten card with three chocolates in the room and 2 drink vouchers which I had to chase. We chose coffee which was very well presented and large glass of wine which was good quality. When I requested late checkout by just 1 hour, they wanted to charge me extra - I had to remind them it is part of my membership privilege… What prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that they have not prepared sofa bed for our teenager- although reservation was for 3 people and I reminded them in extra requests section. When you arrive on Fri at midnight last thing you want to do is to chase it. In the middle of first night, suddenly TV has switched on by itself which woke us all up! Not sure if it was some sort of stupid alarm setup or what but they should reset settings before new guests check in! Overall I would return for quality of suite accommodation.

General information The Parkhotel is centrally located across the train station of Roeselare and next to the big shopping street, leading to the Grote Markt (the central square of Roeselare). The hotel is surrounded by numerous cosy (outdoor) cafes where you can enjoy a fresh Belgian beer. The hotel rooms are equipped with all the necessary modern conveniences, so both business people as well as people on holiday can enjoy their stay (there is a television and the use of the wireless internet is free). If you come by car you can park it for free in the private car park.
Perfect beds and wonderfull staff
Reviewed By Algarve11The rooms were new, clean and nice equipped. Never had better beds before in a hotel. The breakfast was very good. In the middle of the centre thus a perfect place to discover the nice town of Roesselaere. I will surely go back there.

Although the hotel restaurant is a steakhouse using the owner’s beef, there were delicious fish and seafood options as well. Excellent English spoken on account of Scottish relationship. Surrounded by countryside but not that far from the Roeselare railway – kindly gave me a lift to the railway when I left.

Wonderful warm welcome

The owner Lex was very welcoming and his hospitality was second to none. Our room was warm and cosy with a beautiful big en-suite shower room. The big double bed was made up of two singles which were amazingly comfortable. We both slept really well as the beds and bedding was of a high quality. Overall R&B provides a warm welcome, cosy, comfortable rooms and a lovely hot shower. What more could you ask for ? We would highly recommend Lex's lovely business and would definitely return. A big thank you to Lex and his family for making us feel so welcome.

I stay at the hotel from time to time for business, and it is very good value for money. City center is not within walking distance, but there is a shopping center nearby (walking distance).

Reviewed By Philip HVijfwegen is not a fancy hotel with a grand lobby, but it has everything the professional traveller will appreciate: outstanding service, very clean and comfortable rooms, fast free internet connection, free coffee and tea, a bar and an excellent breakfast offering. Only "downside", there is no in house restaurant but there are enough alternatives at walking distance. Simple but perfect for a short professional stay.

Reviewed By penrosemoonsWe were here for a group meeting with work as I am not local I stayed the night before. The owner was very welcoming taking me to my room. The room was lovely and clean with 2 single beds, a mini bar,tv (with BBC!) and a lovely spacious bathroom which was incredibly clean. Breakfast in the morning was basic but adequate and very fresh. We had an all day meeting in a light and airy comfortable room with adequate tea, coffee and cold drinks. Lunch was a sandwich selection - all were fresh and tasty, in the afternoon we had fruit salad and homemade cake! Only slight negative was the quality of the Wi Fi in the room The place itself is a little off the beaten track but very pleasant surroundings. I will definitely stay again!
