The staff are welcoming and provide very good service. Breakfast is good and satisfying. The grounds are pleasant and good for sitting and taking ease. A good restaurant is available by reservation with well prepared meals. There is a moderate drive to Melfi or Rionero in Vulture around the mountain. Persons interested in wine will find trying the local wines worth the experience and effort. There are two lake nearby as well as an abbey to visit.

A quite, pleasant place to stay
Reviewed By Georgina PThe stuff is extremely helpful, kind and smiling. Very clean room, much more comfortable than it seems in the photos. Very close to the center of Rionero in Vulture. The only thing I d' change, is the breakfast ; it was poor and there was no big variety. But, they do have a hotel restaurant, which serves delicious pizza! Added to this, on the last day of our staying, they let as play our saxophones (we went there as a philharmonic orchestra) inside the restaurant, we had so much fun, 2 nights I will never forget. Thank you La pergola.

We met our long time friends for the annual festival in Ripocondida the town without a hotel next to Rionero. We stayed four days at San Marco and loved the value, food, cleanliness and hospitality. If you are in this area of Italy you will love Hotel San Marco.

Clean, quiet, spacious rooms and a reasonable price
Reviewed By David SStayed there for 2 nights with my parents on a visit to research family genealogy. Arrived very late on the first night to be greeted by the owners who were exceptionally welcoming. Several good restaurants nearby including Il Cantinone which we enjoyed. Breakfast served at the cafe which is about 50 yards down the street. All rooms have a mini fridge with water, and nice / large en-suite bathrooms. Only down side is that it’s hard to find when driv8ng - street is hidden away and one way system confusing

A very pleasant experience
Reviewed By Jill KWe stayed at this bed and breakfast for 2 nights in September 2013 as a base to explore the region. On arrival the building looks ordinary but the bed and breakfast on the top floor was large and very comfortable. It would not suit people who can't climb stairs but apart from that, it exceeded our expectations. Very professionally run and, as the previous reviewer indicated, Luisa goes out of her way to provide the little extras, particularly with breakfast! There is a large room that contained 2 beds, a double and single, and a dining table and television. The kitchen is very modern and well equipped and the bathroom which is large and has a great view towards the mountains, is also modern. Luisa's recommendation for dinner was also a good one. Reviewed By loredanar663L’appartamento è nuovo, spazioso e molto carino. È dotato di ogni comodità e per la colazione sono forniti molti cibi , yoghurt , succhi e caffè. La doccia è fantastica e c’è anche un terrazzino. La posizione è comoda x raggiungere il centro e si può parcheggiare sotto casa. Fabio il proprietario è davvero gentile e premuroso e si vede che ci tiene al suo B&B e al benessere dei suoi ospiti. Un superhost x un super B&B !
