One of the most popular holiday centres in Denmark. High standards and beautiful surroundings in the heart of Ribe. Waddensea Nationalpark 2 km. LEGOLAND 55 km. Beach 30 km. Airport 55 km.
The small village in classical danish design really welcomed us. Our family room had all we needed for a nice weekend including a full kitchen. The village area was really nice and offered a great BBQ area which we utilized to cook our oysters we picked in the Wadden Sea during the day. It is also just a short walk to the fairytale city center. We loved our stay.

Hotell Dagmar is the oldest Hotell in Denmark, situated in Ribe (which is said to be the Norths oldest village so lots of history and personality here) in the town square right by the beautiful and famous Cathedral. We stayed (Thursday-Monday) in the Main house (there is a newer part hosted in an other building, short walk but good to know when you book so that you get what you want on your stay) a very well kept historical building with lots of charming rooms to choose from. The staff was wonderful, warm and welcoming (actually everybody that we met in the village was really nice) and they took such great care of all of us (Two grownups, two boys 11 and 13 and one dog) and we instantly fell in love with the place. We had great dinners in the beautiful restaurant and it was very clear that it was much appreciated by the locals to. The breakfast was really good with a nice touch of Danish food culture and it contained everything you could wish for, both cold and warm food. In the area there is much to see and do. They have a Viking village close by and there is also Vadehavscentret (a must visit) where you can go straight out in the North sea (depending on the tide) on a guided oyster hunt (recommended) and eat the freshest oyster you ever had. We are already planning for another stay, maybe even in the Winter when there is a Christmas market (Peters Jul).

This ancient and homely pub/restaurant is perfectly situated slap bang in the middle of town, right next to where the town crier starts his round. The staff was very friendly and informative. It's on the corner of the Cathedral Square. Just have some wine and watch the world go by!

A beautiful B&B. Good but small beds, everything was clean. Check in and check out went very smooth. I would have preferred seeing somebody at check in personally but the system they have works great The location is beautiful and great for hikers, bikers and Viking lovers

First, the good: friendly staff, location about a five-minute walk from the centre of Ribe, and fast WiFi. Also, if we had been traveling with kids, then our experience would likely be different because the hostel had some fantastic options for families, including a playroom with a lot of toys and a room with a climbing wall and other activities that would be fun for older kids. There is also, at least on the weekends, parking that is free across the street (assuming you can find a spot). If you're young and used to hostels are traveling with kids, then this is probably a great option! But, if you are in your thirties and grouchy when you don't get a good night's sleep like us, then maybe pass on this place! Ribe is incredibly popular, and you might, like us, face the choice of either not staying in Ribe or taking the only room you can find at this hostel. If you are in doubt, don't stay in Ribe because I will tell you what we know now that we wish we'd known before: Ribe is very small, and you can see everything in a few hours, unless you want to go to both museums. Even then, if you arrived by 9 or 10, you could easily see all you want to see of Ribe and drive to another town to sleep. On why this hostel was not a great option for a couple not used to hostels: Our private room felt a lot like a college dorm, with painted brick walls and metal bunk beds. You have to pay an extra 75DKK per person if you want sheets and a towel--all told, we paid about 110 euro for the room, which felt like a lot for a really uncomfortable night. You can hear people pass by in the hallway. There is of course no air conditioning, so it was quite hot. The windows faced out to a courtyard where people were hanging out, which was loud. Even if we'd wanted to complain, there was no one to complain to because as far as we could see, the hostel has no staff on site after 8 pm. And the curtains were thin and didn't block either the light from the courtyard or, when it started to rise, the sun. Breakfast was included but pretty basic. If you are not used to staying in hostels, then you will probably share our experience, which is that we would have preferred to get a nicer room in a proper hotel for the same money in a smaller town down the road.

We booked in a very short notice and the owners were just amazing! Found a room, showed us everything, gave us a recommendation how to get to the town to eat something. It is just 5 minutes walk to the centre. Great choice for breakfast. Definitely recommended!
