Let's start with all the positives. The location is stunning. The building itself wonderful and the atmosphere just great. I'm in love with Quedlinburg. The hotel restaurant, especially the outdoor area, really peaceful. On the day we arrived there was chilled and charming live music. On the more negative side... my sheets were clean but with visible dark stains. Something similar happened to me in Amsterdam a couple of years back. At breakfast one of the staff members kept wearing her mask under the nose. During check in we were given incorrect information which resulted with us not being prepared to have extra cost (the receptionist specifically said it was free for the hotel guests). At check out, the receptionist Mohamed, almost laugh at us and didn't even try to help us. It wasn't about the cost itself as it wasn't much (~30eur) but we felt cheated. I guess Best Western doesn't offer the service it used to as a 4 star hotel.

Nice gaststätte in the center of beautiful Quedlinburg. Sat by the window with a good view of the market place. Had some great tasting soups (gulasch and soljanka). Fair price. Not many vegetarian options but the baked camembert with salad was fine.

The Stadtschloss is a boutique hotel complex, set in the UNESCO world heritage city of Quedlinburg. The hotel comprises an enchanting castle from the 16th-century which still resonates its fascinating history of a bygone age with a newly – built modern extension. Redesigned and planned with the clear intention of preserving the original character and air of the property, the outcome is a unique harmony of old and new, combining the original architectural style with the modern amenities. A magnificent hotel, unparalleled hospitality and delicious modern cuisine ideal for an overnight stay, a weekend away, or for more formal occasions.
Large bathroom ,very handicap accessible. There was no opportunity to make coffee and tea in the room. Security cabinet was very small - could not hold a Laptop There was a lack of outdoor dining since the restaurant is located on the 1st floor in beautiful rooms. Breakfast buffet was rich with crispy bacon ?

Your Home in Quedlinburg: We welcome you to our romantic half-timbered hotel amidst the stunning Old Town. With its unique location at the foot of castle hill our house is the perfect starting point for exploring the city and the surrounding area. Thanks to the quiet ambience you will enjoy a relaxed stay in one of our 16 lovingly furnished rooms.
Location was good, and even though there wasn't parking (or room to park for us) staff told us where we could find street parking for free. The breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced at only €9. Staff was super friendly, and more or less fluent in English. Fairly quiet - but a little street noise - babies, dogs & church bells. The room was fairly small not much room for the luggage. The hotel is nice, but dated. WiFi was a little dodgy at first, but ended up working fine.

+ Near the citycenter + Near the station + Has 10-15 free parking lots + Very friendly staff + Low price - Really old interior. Looks to be from another age. - Because of the interior, not fresh at all. - Breakfast was big, but not the best. - Staff talked a small amount of english. - Only wifi in the lobby, and we couldn´t find the password.

An old house offering all the amenities you could ask for. Very nice and helpful staff, an excellent breakfast. We had a room on the second floor, large and cosy. The bathroom was up to date and everything was very clean. The location is splendid for walking into town, still the hotel is very quiet. A place to come back! There is no lift in the builduing, which was no problem for us.

Experience the medieval, idyllic atmosphere in the heart of Quedlinburg as a fabulous journey back in time. Enjoy the surroundings which are by a ring of accommodatingly generous Jugendstil villas, each located just a few walking minutes away from the center of the World Cultural Heritage site. Exactly the right place for the Hotel am Bruehl! Located directly along the scenic Bruehl Park. Since being painstakingly restored, a romantic ambience inhabits the heritage-protected, half-timbered house of a former distillery and the adjacent Grunderzeit mansion. Visitors will discover a refreshingly pleasant atmosphere reminding them of Mediterranean ease. Near the historic heart of the city (barely 5 to 10 walking minutes away) and with a view of the hill castle Schlossberg with its double towers of the Romanesque abbey church, the hotel is the ideal place for beginning excursions. Important: Our restaurant "Weinstube" ist closed on Sundays and Mondays from january to march.
Welcome and Employees: Check-in was okay, but not especially friendly. Proof of corona test was required. Room and Facilities: Location was good – only a 10 minute walk to the market square and all other sights. Room was clean and modern and larger than the other hotels where we had stayed. Unfortunately the WiFi was quite weak in our room. We did not notice that they had overflow parking, so we parked on the street to save the parking fee. Breakfasts: Great breakfast with an excellent choice of hot and cold foods and cold cuts, cheeses, cereals and fresh fruit. They even had sparking wine. There was the option to dine in the courtyard with fresh air. Summary and Recommendation: An excellent hotel and fair-value when staying in Quedlinburg (I give it a 5 star, which I rarely do). The hotel and room is exactly what you expect – clean, relatively modern and meets and exceeds expectations. Quedlinburg is a wonderful town to visit and explore – especially for history fans.

4* Hotel mit Restaurant im Herzen der UNESCO Welterbestadt Quedlinburg historisches Fachwerkhotel direkt am Marktplatz
This hotel has a great location (so I thought while booking it). And indeed while the location is very good (which I know now all of the hotels in Quedlingburg have given you can cross town in any direction in a 15 min walk) the rest left us to desire for more. First of all parking. It is absolutely impossible to find the parking with the directions hotel provided on their website and in the confirmation e-mail. If you follow their special Weingarten 22 address, you'd end up in a narrow dead end street where the only parking is of a private residence. We had to call them to get completely different directions for a parking, some 800 m drive away. What does the address have to do with it we only found out upon exiting the parking - it is the address of the gate, which leads you to it but only accessible by foot through a giant medieval looking door. Nothing on it suggests there is a parking behind it (and even if it would, there is no chance to get through it by car). Second, what I thought was a nice google.translate glitch on the website about the parking being a 'Use at your own risk' one, suddenly all made sense once we got to it. It is basically in the middle of a half ruined building. To be honest I had some doubts about finding the car in one piece the next day. Okay, so we finally reach the hotel. I booked a comfort room for a nice view of the square. Well... its more like view on the wall of the building next to the hotel with a small glimpse of the square. I attach a photo to show exactly what I mean. Another nice surprise: we had to choose a breakfast seating time slot, and because the hotel was apparently full (or so we were told) we had to be done with our breakfast before 9 o'clock. You'd think if you get a room without a view, maybe they will at least try to be nice to you with breakfast timings? But noooo.... By the way, we did arrive at 2pm to the hotel, so either they were full with people who stay there for days (what to do in Quedlinburg for more than one day?) or else I don't know how to explain our luck. I have no complaints about the room except for the view which I expressed earlier. It was of decent size and well equipped. The breakfast however added to the general disappointment. In an otherwise empty restaurant we got the worst possible table, almost at the reception desk. Cause when you get a room without a view and have to get up at 8 am to have breakfast, why try to ease it up by at least giving you a good table, right? Now, I understand its difficult times now and they try to limit guests movement in the breakfast area, so plates with cold cuts and bread are brought to your table. But why then do you have to go get your butter yourself? Also our cold cuts/bread basket had most stuff in twos. Like two pieces of sausage/ham/etc. In that happy universe of twos, one slice of salmon and one croissant felt very lonely I bet... And then there was a fruit platter with a fine touch of mold (photo attached) that put a nice exclamaition mark to our breakfast experience. Upon check out the room and the city tax had to be paid separately. For the latter they would only accept cash. So much for the contactless payments in these difficult times... In other words, if you plan to feel welcome and have an enjoyable stay, I'd choose to stay elsewhere if I was you. In such difficult times as tourism is industry going through at the moment you'd expect something better.

First of all Quedlinburg is very beautiful and important location. I am very happy to see there. I stayed this hotel 3 days with my family. We are very pleased with our stay. I especially liked their smoked specials in traditional restaurant. I recommend everybody.
