Hotel Cordelias es un tranquilo y cómodo hotel situado a orilla de la Playa Panteón, en la hermosa Bahía de Puerto Angel. Es el lugar ideal para pasar unas mágicas vacaciones en pareja o en familia. Las pacificas y cristalinas aguas de la bahía son perfectas para que grandes y pequeños puedan jugar a orilla del mar, nadar y hacer esnorkel. Las habitaciones con vista al mar te regalarán unos hermosos amaneceres. Nos encontramos a tan solo 5 minutos de Zipolite, la playa nudista de México y a solo 10 minutos de Mazunte Pueblo Magico; así mismo nos encontramos a 40 minutos del aeropuerto de Huatulco y a 1 hora del aeropuerto de Puerto Escondido.

Reviewed By GlenandTinaIf you are into a friendly, native Mexican holiday Join Chepe and his exceptional staff of Cheli and Carlos at the Cordelias. This is Mexico as we first knew it 30 years ago, a small fishing village with nice amenities like snorkel tours and fishing if you’re into that. Humberto is the man to see to organize tours , he has 4 pangas and experienced captains going daily. Tours can include whales, dolphins, Tortugas and nice snorkeling. The hotel restaurant and adjacent palapa restaurants like Suzy’s have lovely breakfasts and will serve you fresh seafood of your choosing daily. Excellent spot but no kitchen units or pool and the wifi is not always stable. Adds to the charm, you are sort of off the grid and its good to unplug! Have an evening swim under a full moon and enjoy being with your partner.

Reviewed By Karen FWe wandered around this abandoned hotel and discovered unique rooms, a gorgeous pool, a fine dining room under renovation, scenic views, and no staff whatsoever! We chatted with a 'guest' who was staying in one of the upper rooms, who described it as a work in progress. A few university students were rooming on lower floors. Many stone stairs led from one level to another; this is not an accessible hotel. It has so much potential, too bad it wasn't taking guests when we visited.

Es un pequeño alojamiento tradicional, familiar con muchas plantas que le dan un ambiente natural, muy cerca del mar, con terraza muy amplia y vista panorámica higiénico, confortable, con skay en sus tvs. wi-fi en habitaciones, su arquitectura con toques coloniales y artesanales , una piscina con agua muy relajante por su temperatura. Ubicado en la playa panteón con sus aguas muy cristalinas que los mismos habitantes cuidamos para conservar su trasparencia. Con playas aledañas y fácil localización para que usted pueda tener una estancia inolvidable.
Pleasant stay, but some irritating quirks.
Reviewed By Barbara WThe hotel decor is fun and the staff is very cheerful and accommodating. Room was very clean, AC worked very well, and the towels were deliciously thick and fluffy. On the negative side were some injury hazards. The little metal latch on the bathroom door frame projected out and I had to be careful not to stub my toes on big legs on the bed which were not recessed under the bed. Also, the rooms are not soundproof. I was awakened early by the voice of a teacher in the next room who was Skyping a student somewhere. There are lots of stairs, so this is not a good choice for those with mobility problems.

Incredible hospitality & views to die for!

Villas Mykonos is a warm and inviting place with only 4 guest rooms. There's lots of different areas to sit and relax, alone or with other guests if you wish, to talk, read a book or simply enjoy the unbelievable views of the ocean. Bonus was being able to watch BOTH the sunrise & sunset from the house! Dipping pool to cool off, billiards table ,complimentary coffee, use of the fridge, comfortable beds, clean rooms, kind people and all without pretences...super chill...just they way we like it.

Quiet couples retreat
Reviewed By 200brettrQuiet retreat in the jungle... 2 minute walk to the beautiful Playa La Boquilla. A must stay if you are travelling to the Puerto Angel area. This open-concept guest house has all the amenities you need for a very comfortable stay. There are four rooms that are very private from one another. The beds are very comfortable, and the hammock on the front balcony allows for maximum relaxation! Dulce, the owner, and all staff are incredibly friendly, and do whatever they can to make your stay welcoming. The breakfast and coffee are delicious!!! For dinner, it is a short walk down to the beach where there is a stunningly beautiful restaurant. While eating, baby sea turtles started emerging from their nest in the sand. The restaurant and hotel staff and guests then helped the turtles make it into the ocean safely. What an incredible experience. I can't wait to go back and visit again! 10/10 Would recommend

Family run hotel that goes that extra mile
Reviewed By topdoggie68A clean, basic hotel run by a wonderful family. Set high up some steps there were cool breezes from the Pacific and great views of the bay. (There is a level entrance at the back.). The rooms are perfectly adequate - cool, clean and with ensuite or shared bathroom. Delicious breakfasts and dinners. Nothing was too much trouble - when one of our party with memory problems got lost on the beach, the owner jumped on his moped and went off to search, finding him thankfully! We were invited to join a family birthday party and deluged with cake. Guests can help themselves from the kitchen and write everything down on a pad. Boat trips can be arranged for whale/dolphin watching. Puerto Angel is not touristy unlike Mazunte further along the coast. There are Mexican tourists enjoying the restaurants and the beach - a very pleasant village to stay in. We planned to stay two nights but added an extra night. We would have stayed longer, time permitting.

The town itself wasn't the vibe we were looking for during our entire beach vacation along the coast, but we wanted to check it out for a night since we live in Oaxaca. This town is no frills, quite small and nothing fancy, which helps set expectations for the lodging. The view at this place was stunning, and having a nice pool to dip in with a beautiful view, along with our own balcony with a view, made this an enjoyable stay. The shower was amazing and hot - almost worrisome like hey friends put a low flow shower fixture on that thing to save water resources! So it is a bit old, but they do a nice job painting the rooms with murals to give it a fresh look. The ceiling fan was hilarious it looked like someone had fixed the bottom half of a blender to the wall and somehow used it to power the fan. So yes, a bit dated but we loved having this place as our base camp. The staff was super friendly and our room was very clean. The hill is easy to deal with - just get the phone number of the first cab driver you get to take you up the hill when you arrive, and it's easy and only like 30 pesos to call that person up for a ride down and a ride back home whenever you need it.

Secluded, peaceful hotel on a pretty bay
Reviewed By Seth83LondonThis hotel is the only hotel on this beautiful secluded bay. This makes it feel very remote and special. While it is rustic, the rooms are large with generous balconies. The facilities include large sunloungers and kayaks. There is a restaurant and the food is pretty good. I really liked this hotel - probably one of the highlights of our whole trip. It is a unique, Robinson Crusoe-esque experience.

A Dream Property
Reviewed By Trod13_11What A find!! First of all this place is located on the beach in Zipolite, not Puerto Angel! Great location by all the Zipolite restuarants. The grounds were kept immaculate and the staff would bend over backwards for you! Even the owner was hands on, making sure all your needs were taken care of. The place is pretty new and the rooms were nicely decorated and big!! To some it up, Hotel Descalzo was a paradise within a paradise!!

Best place to stay in Puerto Angel
Reviewed By lauralaureenWe definetly loved this place. It's a beautiful, colorful and clean place in a very good location with amazing breakfast! Hotel capy is just 5minutes by walk to the beach and 8min to the center of Puerto Angel where you can find some restaurants. We felt comfortable and were very happy to meet Lulu, Antonio and Alfredo! Thanks for your kindness. We felt like at home and would love to come back!
