The NH Collection Palacio de Burgos hotel in Burgos is located right in the city center, perfect for getting to know one of Spain's most interesting and cultural cities and the surrounding Castilian region.
The location of this hotel could not be better with views of the beautiful cathedral and within walking distance to many other attractions that Burgos holds. The food at breakfast and in the evening was wonderful. We travel through Spain several times a year and this is our preferred hotel.

We stopped overnight on our way to catch the ferry at Santander from our home in Spain. Since our previous visit prior to the pandemic, they seem to have updated their rooms. The hotel’s location is not far from motorway junctions but it is situated in the middle of an industrial estate. Don’t let that put you off. Has a large car park with CCTV cameras, and our rooms both times overlooked it, so could see our car. The rooms are basic, functional and comfortable. The hotel’s secret weapon, and the reason why we chose it again is it’s A la Carte restaurant. It is set up to a high standard and the gentleman serving us was knowledgeable and attentive. We chose their tasting menu which came with a lovely bottle of wine. We started with local Morcilla and Chorizo, followed by shoulder of lamb cooked in their wood oven - wonderful. If we need an overnight stop again, shall definitely chose again. Anything longer than one night, think Salamanca, Toledo etc. The hotel is approx just over 2 hours to Santander.

The Good: Terrific location for enjoying Burgos on foot. Very generous breakfast. Efficient Front Desk Comfortable beds. The So-So: Our room was hot - no AC and I have no idea where the ventilation is getting its cooling from, but it doesn't work. PAPER cups in the bathroom that AREN'T replaced each day. Their terrazzo on the roof has an amazing view but the chairs are uncomfortable and the staff rather surly. Our stay was okay but the hotel puts on "airs" it is not meeting.

Stayed here in February 2022, the room was spacious and very quiet, even though we had a window that faced the street. We were steps away from this beautiful walkway--every night people walked the walkway along the river. It also brought you past restaurants and shops. We were two blocks from the Cathedral. This is a safe, beautiful area and the hotel staff was helpful and English speaking. The morning breakfast was delicious. There was a choice of eggs and a bountiful buffet. In the room there was a teapot, an iron and a beautiful bath tub! One night we ate at the bar on the first level because we were too tired to go out and the food was delicious and service was perfect. There is also a spacious gathering area for guests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The amazing ducal palace at Lerma, now a Parador, is located in the upper part of the city. The hotel features a central courtyard surrounded by lovely columned galleries. The elegant majesty of this palace from the era of the Hapsburgs and its lovely interiors, with beautifully designed lighting and decor, will make your stay an unforgettable experience. The Plaza Mayor (Main Square) is opposite the main facade of the palace. At night, the lights of the Parador make it look even more magnificent and stately. The medieval quarter, Arch, Carcel Bridge, San Blas Convent, Santo Domingo Monastery, Pasadizo del Duque (Duke's Passage) and former collegiate church of San Pedro are just some of the treasures you won't want to miss. The area around Lerma is well worth a visit. 22 Kilometers away is Covarrubias, a lovely village where San Cosme y San Damian Collegiate Church and Dona Sancha and Dona Urraca squares invite travelers to enjoy a leisurely visit, imagining that time has stood still in the Middle Ages and that little has changed since the year 987, when Count Fernan Gonzalez founded the town. About half an hour away by car is another treasure: the Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos, a Romanesque jewel which has become a place of spiritual and artistic pilgrimage. It is also not far to beautiful Aranda de Duero, city of wine, monuments, history and culinary expertise.
This is a former palace of the Duke of Lerma. The interior opulence of the courtyard is stunning. The rooms a large and well appointed. It is located on a large square. If you are driving, people do park there. The staff is very professional. We would stay here again.

This attractive hotel is situated in the university area of the city, conveniently just a 5 minute drive from Burgos' old town. The well-equipped accommodation comprises light and airy rooms with lovely wooden floors. In addition there are a number of meeting rooms, a cafe and a popular restaurant with a varied menu of traditional local dishes. Its location means you can enjoy the benefits of a residential area, peace and quiet and no problems finding somewhere safe to park, yet never far from the charming and historical old town. This property is also rated for the best value in Burgos! Guests are getting more for their money when compared to other properties in this city.
We stopped off on our way to Portugal for much needed rest.the receptionist Maria Luz was very welcoming and helpful ,she found me a uk plug adapter to use to charge phone. Room was very clean, bed comfy, temperature control in room .fast running hot water, bath and shower. I was wary at first as this hotel is surrounded by the university but I must say it was extremely quiet outside.Would definitely recommend this hotel

The Bulevar is a modern high rise hotel, close to the city centre. The room was clean with an en suite with soap dispensers and facial soap. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A map was provided and places where we could have dinner. They were more than happy to print out our forms required for our trip back to the UK. You can park outside the Hotel to check in. Then you are directed to the underground garage where there are lifts to take you up to your floor.

Spotlessly clean hotel in the Center of the city with friendly service from reception and the house staff. Very quirky hotel just a minute or two walk from the old town with its plethora of bars and restaurants and fantastic architecture. Art Deco reception and hallways and similar in the rooms. Very secure underground car park just a few meters from the hotel with spaces dedicated to hotel residents. Unfortunately no lift in the car park and it’s 3 flights of stairs to street level. Would definitely stay here again. On a separate note if you want a drink in a friendly little bar the Taverner Celtic Center is just a short walk away.
