The caves of Plettenberg Bay are wrinkles in time, lined with ancient artifacts that date to the Middle Stone Age. Under the sun, Robberg, Central and Lookout beaches are pristine stretches of white sand, magnets for tourists, seagulls and dolphins, who bob playfully just off shore. Wildlife lovers will delight at the Birds of Eden aviary and Monkeyland. (How can you not have fun in a place called Monkeyland?)

This heritage building dates back to 1777 and was later used as a rectory by the Anglican church until the present rectory was built in 1939. The beautiful building has now being returned to it’s former glory and is the focal point of this boutique hotel. The old school building, which has historically been a church and even a blacksmith’s workshop has also being lovingly restored and is the home of the spa. Just metres from the beach in a quiet cul-de-sac, it’s position gives you perfect access to one of South Africa’s most picturesque and naturally beautiful seaside towns.
We had very pleasant stay starting with Sam welcoming us. The service and staff are friendly. On point and articulate. Johnny, our “breakfast manager” is the best I’ve experienced. What a pleasure to come to a place like this. The room is 5 star

Great location and well designed interiors. What takes this place to a higher level are the staff. Welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Room well appointed, but My heart sunk when we were informed about a wedding during our stay. After voicing my concerns with the general manager MJ, we were moved (and upgraded) before the wedding for the rest of our stay - all handled with efficiency and smiles. Delicious breakfast and dinners, with everything at the standard you would expect. MJ really is a top class GM and appreciated his problem solving approach and chats when checking everything was going well with our trip. I would definitely return.

The breakfast sublime and the staff friendly and helpful. Thank you so much to the lovely ladies in the front and their suggestions of things to do. We will definitely be back soon.

The gracious Cape Dutch homestead offers distant mountain views, wide open spaces, a secluded pool and gentle walks on the 24-acre estate. The individually decorated rooms convey a feeling of tranquil elegance and include neutral colors, percale linen and specialized toiletries. Perfectly positioned to explore the Garden Route, from the Wilderness to the Tsitsikamma forests. Superb breakfasts and convivial gourmet dinners, specializing in seafood and game dishes, are served in the Colonial dining room or cozy wine room.
The staff were very helpful and gave us complimentary Prosecco as it was our honeymoon. The food is outstanding, and the accommodation is close to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, which has lovely beaches. The only down side was the swimming pool was mainly in the shades and had lots of dead insects in it

Set amidst the treetops of an age-old indigenous forest, Tsala is a lavish celebration of the spirit of Africa. Irresistible to those who appreciate exclusivity, fine fare, romance and adventure. With beautiful private suites and villas, breathtaking views and forest seclusion, unique architectural design and excellent personal service, it is a fantastic get-away destination.
What did we particularly liked? The reception, the Tree House with the great interior, the atmosphere, the drinks provided, showering under the open sky, the peace and quiet, wifi reception, the delicious food and so much more!!!! And what could be better? The water in the pool was a bit too refreshing....
