Booked The Premier Inn because the standard is fairly consistent and you know what you're getting. Warm welcome at reception and breakfast was particularly great where staff worked well as a team, providing a friendly and efficient service - thank you!

Langrish House is a beautiful Country House luxury B and B for overnight stays, a special Wedding and Events Venue in which to celebrate anniversary lunch and dinner parties, family re-unions and also specialising in 'Exclusive Use' for short or longer stays in all or part of this family owned historic house set in its stunning gardens and grounds.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Langrish House after visiting with friends in Petersfield. Robina welcomed us warmly upon arrival and showed us to our room. The views from the bedroom were absolutely stunning and the room itself spotlessly clean and comfortable with every amenity available. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. So much so that Robina very kindly gave me the recipe for the homemade granola!. Highly recommend.

The Trooper Inn is situated above Petersfield in East Hampshire and is a warm and welcoming country pub with eight beautiful individual rooms. We pride ourselves on using the highest quality ingredients from our local suppliers and serving the finest Hampshire real ales. Dine in our restaurant or hire for the perfect space for a private event or family celebration. Enjoy the very best local real ales, wines, whiskies and specialty gins around a roaring fireplace in the winter months, or in summer, out on our beautiful patio and beer garden.

This is my 2nd stay here...stayed the previous year, and still love this place. It's in a great location in a lovely quiet village. Nice looking pub, friendly staff, good food and nice beer. The rooms are comfy enough...only thing is if you are 6foot you will need to bend down to get under the shower. I stayed here to go walking in the area last year and this time returned with my wife. It didn't disappoint. Look forward to staying there again. We were also lucky...i saw that after the weekend that we stayed they had to close Sunday/mondays due to staff shortages...like so many other pubs and restaurants.

The Cricketers Inn can be found in the charming village of Steep. Though located just 5 minutes drive outside of the market town of Petersfield it is perfectly located to explore the beautiful South Downs landscape. Nestled at the foot of the majestic ash hangers that provide walkers and ramblers the Hangers Way - a beautiful 21 mile walking trail between Alton, through to Hawkley, Petersfield, Buriton and ending at Queen Elisabeth country park. The route offers great views of Hampshires countryside, a great selection of pubs and inns and rich and varied history - from Bronze age burial mounds to Roman settlements, and the village of Steep is the last residence of poet Edward Thomas before departing for France during WWI and the natural surroundings heavily influenced his works.Petersfield town and the square often holds craft and farmers markets and offers an array of shops, restaurants and activities to visitors. The South Downs Way is also easily accessible providing the intrepid walker or cyclist 100 miles of rural Hampshire to explore. The East Hampshire Cycle route also passes through Steep and is a popular track. By foot, by bike or even by horse there are numerous trails surrounding us showcasing stunning scenery and the views from 'Shoulder of Mutton hill' (where a stone monument to poet Edward Thomas has been erected) are surely some of the best in the county. The Cricketers Inn is a recently renovated pub/restaurant and B&B that offers its visitors a warm welcome and high quality of food, drink and service. With roaring log fires, real ales and a seasonal menu from chef Tom Lefevre (previously of Jamie Oliver), the Cricketers offers all who enter a warm welcome and quality, locally-sourced food & refreshment. Our ethos and aim is providing our customers with friendly service and quality food and to provide our community with a welcoming venue to entertain friends, family and clients within the elegant décor of our charming country pub - our lunch and dinner guests often find themselves sitting and chatting all afternoon or evening as they feel very at home, no problem as far as we’re concerned - it means we’re hitting the mark! We are open 8am until late everyday so whether for morning coffee and newspapers or an evening meal with friends there’s always opportunity to come and visit!
Popped in for a couple of pints and some lunch. A menu to suit most. I decided to have steak and ale pie with mash which was the best I have have had in recent years eating out. My partner chose hunters chicken which she said was delicious, I tried one of her Chips and they were as follows was all we ate good and proper. Highly recommended from someone that eats out a fair bit. Prices very good also.

Family run B & B within the South Downs National Park, in West Sussex on the border with Hampshire, set in a rural location on the B2146. Home produced Sausage, Bacon, Eggs etc ., home made jams and fresh bread for your breakfast, both our en suite rooms overlook open fields which lead to the South Downs trail. 1 mile from the Village of South Harting and 3 miles from the Market Town of Petersfield. Many tourist attractions nearby to suit all tastes and ages, of course many walks to include fabulous views. We also offer two one bedroom self catering Cottages. A warm welcome awaits all our guests from Janet and Ian, not forgetting our Weimaraner 'Oscar'.
Nice rooms in a small old house, and the owner Janet was kind and friendly. I loved the Hans Christian Andersen-themed art in the room we were in. Breakfast was very good -- lots of options including various kinds of full English, and made from very local ingredients, including freshly baked bread. Janet also offers a packed lunch which was great for our next day's walk.

The Old Drum is exactly what a traditional inn should be. Warm and welcoming, with a history of over 300 years of hospitality. Established back in 1714, when Chapel Street was an important highway, The Old Drum has seen many changes. In the early 20th century it was a popular spot for cyclists. H. G. Wells is also reported to have regularly dined (and written) here.
in the heart of town, no parking space, check in latest at 10.00 pm. Room 1 is remodeled and nice…but too small for a stay over 1 night and even so, no space for any luggage. Staff is made of a bunch of young helpful lads that seem afraid of the stressed out lady manager… not my first choice next time.

Lovely friendly family run hotel in a beautiful location. We stayed for 2 nights while walking the South Downs Way. Very conveniently situated. Cosy, comfortable rooms and delicious food, both dinner and breakfast. Staff lovely and nothing too much bother. We would certainly stay there again.

Self catering one bedroomed cottages in the grounds of The Five Bells, inn & restuarant. Comfortable accommodation sleeping up to four people.
Really lovely little pub. Visited while walking through Buriton and stopped for a roast. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the staff were really friendly, the food came quickly and it was all very reasonably priced to boot. Definitely recommend and might want to book a table as it was full during our visit on a rainy Sunday.
