Memorable visit

For my first visit to wales, ive got to say this BB made my stay! after a long 5 and half hour journey. Me and my partner were greeted by the owners daughter buddy with open arms! it instantly put us at ease and we knew we chose the right place to stay. The house has beautiful architecture and it has a very homely feel with lots of lovely art work on the walls from the owners travels. We stayed in the Cwtch room, we loved the green decor and it was super clean. The bed was super comfy! great sheets which make you want to stay in bed. In the morning we had fresh coffee and breakfast alfresco style, the back garden is lovely and a pleasure to relax in. Everyone is super accommodating and helpful :) Overall a massive recommendation to anyone visiting pembroke!

We stayed here towards the end of Sept for 3 nights. We arrived and noticed the signs on door saying please use hand sanitizer before entering and saw the dispenser, unfortunately this was completely empty so either check it or remove the sign asking people to use it! I appreciate it has been hard on hospitality industry but if they want people to have confidence in using them again then need to be on top of everything like this. Particularly as the rates in Wales while we were there was much higher than England and mask wearing was still compulsory. Unfortunately there were people who did not adhere to this either and were not told about it. We were shown to our room which looked lovely but have to say that sometimes looks can be deceptive. The bed was quite poor quality and so not very comfortable and the cleanliness of the room was not as it first appeared, there were a number of cobwebs. We went down for breakfast on the first morning and were asked what would you like, there was no menu or we were not told what was on offer! We saw that there was juice and cereal on a table but were not told to help ourselves or anything and we asked what was there to choose from for cooked breakfast. We had a full cooked breakfast and we had booked on checking in our time for breakfast and there was only another couple that came down after us and we had come down a bit early but somehow our breakfast was like if it had been cooked some time ago and kept hot, not freshly cooked to order. Like I say it may seem trivial but when there are only 4 people booked for breakfast surely they can have their breakfast cooked fresh while they are eating their cereal etc. Just lacking a bit on things like a menu or even saying please help yourself to juice and cereal or can I get you anything else, just little bit of hospitality if get me. Also we had had to ask for cups and spoons in our room as we had none on checking in. They do do meals but only on certain nights and they had outside pods and the dining area and bar, it all looked very nice and just with a bit more effort could be better. The second morning seemed to be better and the breakfast didnt seem like it had been kept hot for some time. So maybe they were short staffed or whatever, dont know but the whole time we were there we tried each time for the hand sanitizer to be refilled and it wasnt. We take our own anyway but ......

Two Stays Good!

I have stayed here twice and been warmly welcomed and very comfortable. The rooms are lovely, well looked after and can be spacious I found the first one a little cramped, but it was the only one available when booking in on the day! The food really is excellent. I asked for scrambled eggs at breakfast, it was beautiful - the best I have ever had in a hotel, possibly excelled my own at home! I have booked two nights in nSeptember.

Great host and great breakfast and overall we enjoyed our stay. However, the bathroom was very tired ? and definitely needs updating! Pembroke is a very small town and with limited investment and tourism (like a lot of UK villages/towns) it's not surprising that the venue needs updating. Clean, and reasonably well presented. Would we stay again? ? Yes! But for £120 per night the expected standards should be higher or a lower price.

The perfect base for your Pembrokeshire holiday

We spent a marvellous few days staying at East Trewent Farm which we found reminiscent of a French country villa with stunning flowers around a courtyard. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of hot water for a lovely shower. Outside, the courtyard had ample parking and patio tables to relax at. The hosts, Jeremy and Rebecca, were lovely, pleasantly chatty and attentive to any needs we had. They provided a fresh, made-to-order breakfast each morning to set us up for each day. The location is within reach of the Freshwater East beach and a pub for a refreshing drink. We *easily* recommend this B&B as a base for any Pembrokeshire holiday :-)
