Our resort branch offers high-end luxury in exceptionally cultural settings. With achingly perfect panoramas, Kuriftu is where luxury reaches its pinnacle and service is simultaneously warm, genuine and sensational. After taking in the natural beauty of the wildlife and countryside, our organic spa and gourmet restaurants are the perfect places to relax as you prepare to continue your getaway experience. Conncted with our Kuriftu resort &spa Bishoftu is found Kuriftu Water Park. The Kuriftu Water Park is East Africa’s Largest Water Park and Ethiopia’s first. Boasting over 30,000 square meters of fun while featuring a wide range of activities, such as: • Small Water House • Medium Water House • Fikat Circus • Slides • Boomerang Slide • Wave Pool • Food Court • Gift Shop
Kuriftu's quality degraded from time to time. Starting from reception, food, and spa, a very poor quality. They need to work onit. Otherwise, the name will only remain as it is, not the quality. Don't eat any fish related products.

Nice place with an amazing view over a clear volcanic, round lake in which you can swim or make a tour with the kayak. Climate of 26 degrees the whole year like in spring in the south of California or France. Run by a Belgium guy and an Ethiopian lady. We serve fresh fish and vegetables from the surrounding farms. Day trips and tours possible with our Flamingos Tours Company.
While my wife and I , recently got married. We decided to stay at the Babogaya Lake Viewpoint Lodge. The atmosphere and compound was beautiful and the staff were very professional and friendly. We were able to get some of our wedding pictures done there, and also had a lot of fun by fishing and birding just within the compound of the Lodge. Perfect and peaceful area. Thank you again for the wonderful stay.

We have spend only one night at Ashram Africa Hotel, but we really enjoyed this place. Waking up in a comfy bed and a great view over lake Bishoftu. The restaurants serves good local and international dishes. Also, as we had some trouble during a short hike, the staff was amazingly helpful.

After a disappointing stay nearby I took a trip with my son to Zion Lodge. Immediately felt the Love. Humble, informative and very helpful owners. Ate with us, talked to us and put us in the safe, right direction of where we needed to go. Chilled relaxing time. Not overbearing hosts. Despite the obvious lack of tourism, we never felt hurried, pushed or pressured to 'spend'. My ten year old boy described them as very kind, nice people. He felt totally at home. If there were more people and places like this, traveling would be paradise. I was impressed that as soon as I phoned, I was given an accurate, honest description of the accomodation which for tbe price was totally adequate. There is a warmth there. They genuinely seem pleased to have you. From the home grown fruits, jams, mayonaise to the vividly decorated compound the Rasta vibe comes through again and again. A great place to stay and chill or use as base camp for exploring.

I've stayed at negash resort for three days on a family holiday, apr 22-25. And not find the resort welcoming, my room Hasn't been cleaned all three days and they were shutting off the water to the rooms and had to call multiple times to have it released for toilet and shower. My complaint to the management don't seem to make a difference. That's how I ended up writing here. Consider your options.

Hara Langano eco lodge nestled on the shore of Lake Langano is a self-contained retreat where you can enjoy fine food & drinks and observe abundant wildlife. Easily accessible from Addis Ababa, this resort offers an intimate atmosphere with well-appointed rooms and private verandas. Plus a wide range of activities, our guests staying for the weekend or a week are never short of things to do.
A superb location beside Langano lake, with a family of hippos only a few meters away from the shore, along with pelicans, kingfishers and a multitude of other birds and wildlife. BUT the lodge has nothing "eco" about it - it simply lacks facilities. No functioning wifi, no electricity (except from a conventional generator, producing some hot water for an hour in the morning), and a very old bathroom with a broken shower. Some of it was comical - Sunday's dinner of chicken leg and roast potatoes turned out to be chicken leg with steamed rice (presumably left over from the previous day's steak and rice), and Monday's stir-fired chicken was chopped chicken breast. But some of it was unamusing. Don't be fooled by the language about "airport shuttle (surcharge may apply)" - an immediate payment for US$100 was demanded on arrival, even though nothing was said in the email exchange when we booked.

We were there on August 13, 2021. We planned to spend two nights but in the end we checked out after only one night. It started from the moment we checked in. I paid in cash and the receptionist did not give me back any change. The change was less than 100 Br. so I let it slide. I figured he was busy or new or whatever. The room we rented, 034, was in a section called Classics (hah!). The door itself was a flimsy affair with a handle that didn't operate properly and when you opened it it got stuck half way on the uneven floor. You need to give it a good shove to open it all the way. This does not bode well, I thought to myself. When we got up the next morning there was no water in our room, but when we went to the main building for breakfast we found that the water was flowing pretty freely there. We complained to the receptionist and we briefly had running water but it promptly disappeared again. I ended up not washing at all and my wife was able to wash her hair only. The food was over-priced, unappetizing and unsavoury. The Fish Goulash my wife ordered for dinner was barely lukewarm and the Lamb Tibs I ordered was extremely tough and gamey. The next morning we went to the complimentary breakfast buffet hoping for a better experience. But alas, it was just more of the same with a special twist. The dates we were there were smack in the middle of a small fasting period for the Ethiopian Orthodox community. During this period it's common for any hotel or restaurant to have a good selection of fasting (i.e.- vegan) foods. Correction: every hotel except Haile Resorts Ziway. There was only one vegan dish! Neither my wife nor I came away from that meal satisfied. The only thing first class about this hotel is the price. In the end we checked out early and spent the rest of our stay at Sabana Beach Resort on lake Langano.

Haile Resort - Adama , is the latest and 7th addition to the chain (Haile Hospitality Group) built in the vibrant city of Adama. The resort features :- 106 spacious rooms, 7 Multipurpose halls , Swimming pool, Spa, Massage, Gym, Restaurants, Bars and multipurpose play grounds.
I usually use Haile Resorts when available during my business trips. But this was my first stay at this hotel. We had a Corporate 'Iftar' that our company organized for our customers. The Management and Staff of the hotel made every effort for the successful organisation of the event. The settings for the Iftar and Dinner was prepared beautifully. The food was also delicious. I had also experienced a good stay at the hotel. A very similar experiences across its chain (Hawasa, Arbaminch, etc...) The staff were very friendly and courteous. Every body at the hotel, starting from the security personnel to the Manager, make sure you are having a pleasant stay. A very distinct culture!

The 10000 Flamingos Lodge is in the Southern part of Abiata-Shalla National Park between Lake Chitu and Lake Shalla. 10000 flamingos all year round. 10 traditional rooms with bathroom in the room and restaurant service for those who stay overnight. For those who don't have a car, we can pick you up in Shashemene busstation, to go on together the last 36 km to the lodge by local transport. Daily Selam busses are starting in Addis, direction Awassa. You can swim in Lake Shalla or sit in the hot springs, nearby the lodge. One of our staff will be with you for walks in the surroundings. With Flamingos Tours Ethiopia, we can provide you all the necessairy for your travel in Ethiopia. Our older sister is the Babogaya Lake Viewpoint Lodge in Debre Zeit. For those who have a car : Take in Shashemene the road to SODO for 22 km and turn to the right in the village of Awara. There is a big yellow signbord. Follow the gravel road 14 km and at a signbord " 1km " you take left. Lodge on the hill.
10000 Flamingo Lodge is very remote and quite difficult to access - we drove there in a little Toyota Vitz from Addis Ababa. The huts are beautiful, with glass walls and an impressive view over the lake and the hundreds of flamingos on it. The trek to the nearby hot springs is also wonderful. Mohamed, the manager, and Biftu, the cook, were amazing hosts and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. It is a very basic place - no electricity, no hot water and the food is very limited (no bread - breakfast is just some delicious, fried donuts with jam, lunch/dinner is usually pasta with tomato sauce or shiro but no injera). Keep this in mind and perhaps bring your own provisions when coming here. I would recommend this place for the location, the staff and the unique nature experience.
