Très jolie maison sarde à la décoration originale et soignée. Propreté irréprochable. Petit déjeuner correct. Magnifique toit terrasse avec vue imprenable! Accueil chaleureux. Maison située dans le centre-ville mais très au calme. Je recommande !

Do yourself a favor and never come here! Hostile reception if you do not speak italian. The rooms are without AC and you can not have the window open because of bugs. There is also a bad smell in the room. The pool could be nice, but all the chairs are broken so you have nowhere to sit. But, the worst thing is the dogs barking at night. You will NOT sleep! You have been warned!

On the advice of a Sardinian friend, we decided to make a stop in Orgosolo on our way to Porto Torres to take the car ferry back to mainland Italy. We (two couples) arrived on a very rainy, chilly afternoon and chanced by the Albergo SA E Jana. The reception area was empty when we entered and after calling several "ciao's" and "buon giorno's", someone came to the front desk. We were checked in by an older very friendly lady and given spacious, clean comfortable rooms. We later learned that the very good art work in the lobby was done by her and her husband. Although their English was very limited, we were able to communicate somewhat in Spanish with this delightful couple. Orgosolo has a longstanding history of anti-establishment culture which is reflected by its' outstanding murals and grafitti art on it's walls and buildings. This ranks as one of the most interesting towns we visited during our 3 1/2 week drive through Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia.

Let's start with the good things. Friendly welcome, smooth checkin and the rooms were quite modern and absolutely clean. So the important things were absolutely fine. There's no real reception but checkin and -out is done at the downstairs internet café. The entrance to the B&B was full of rubbish, and it stayed that way until checkout. The breakfast was actually not good, toasted vacuum-packed sandwich and baked previously-frozen pastry - nothing fresh. The coffee was good though and bar service friendly. There was a heater / aircon in the room but the plug didn't fit.

Stanza pulita e curata. Consigliato!

We stayed at Jannas for three nights, and had a great time. Jannas only has a few rooms (5 I believe), and we really liked ours. Decent bed, spacious, good shower. Jannas is located in a very beautiful, quiet area, but quite close to Orgosolo, Oliena and Nuoro. The pool area is lovely and has plenty lazy chairs to read a book in and enjoy the surroundings. There is also a restaurant onsite, preparing hearty local food for staying guests. I particularly appreciated the owners; even though the lady only spoke Italian, a language I don't speak, we were always able to communicate in some way, and she was always friendly, smiling and helpful. Finally, note that there is a German shepherd dog that roams around the premises. It is a totally friendly, lovely and playful dog, which will leave you (largely) alone if you don't pay attention to it, but those who dislike or are afraid of dogs may want to rethink their choice of accommodation. All in all highly recommended.
