Family retreat

Great value for the space, fantastic for families. Bedroom and living room/kitchenette both with a shared balcony. Room has a fridge, electric hob, sink, TV with few channels. Cosy bathroom but could do with a shower screen and bathtubs are quite tall and deep, so if you are short or have a hip problem, it might be a challenge. Sparkling clean though. Outdoor seating with sunny, small green back garden and play area. Tasty continental breakfast with a few warm options. Accommodating upstairs kids play area has good amount of toys for various ages but could do with a barrier against the stairs. For food we recommend nearby 0.3m koliba (Slovak restaurant) rather than Italian restaurant in the hotel next door, with a grumpy waiter. Make sure to take key to the front door between 12-14 and after 22 as the reception and front door are closed.

Fantastic family friendly place to enjoy Tatry
Reviewed By Péter ALocation is beautiful with nice view on High Tatras and in a reasonable walking distance from electric railway connecting you to all Tatras easy and convenient. Parking is just close and visible around the area. Villa Gold is just fantastic : rooms, house and garden facilities makes you feel really home :) And you feel landlord's Mirka professional care really comes from her heart :) THANK YOU Mirka !!! Average hotel with an unkind blond waitress
Reviewed By AnaDulciaI book the hotel owned by Italian owner via a webpage offering reduction for the sejour but in the end, we paid more then if we booked via booking . The children under 6years have a a free food and accommodation as stipulated in their web. In the end, they made us pay for a child 30 eur/night with an excuse, that the child did not sleep between the parents and only in this case its for free. How can they know it? First night we wanted to have a dinner, but the blond waitress told us to wait 1 hour, since due to covid there can be only 12 people in the dining room and other people are waiting already. I asked to have a priority since all people with kids under 6 have priority normally in Slovakia and a 4- year old must be in bed at 19 h, but she refused. Then she put us on terrasse, where it was cold and all family got a cold, with 2 weeks of consequences and temperature. After she told us, that she invented the rule of 12 people, normally its 15, so in this case , we would fit inside. This waitress was not very nice other evenings neither, since she asked us to be early at the dinner, so she can finish soon, and dealt with us as if we bother her. IN the morning, there was no waiter, since the Italian owner wants to reduce costs and nobody asked us if we need anything. So we asked a receptionist for a hot milk every morning. IN the evening, I got a temperature due to the fact ,that I got a cold since they refused to serve us at dining room and I needed a warmer cover and a hot tea, but at the reception , nobody appeared even if we rang the bell. The swimming pool is too cold for adults and for kids, so its not worth to pay if we can stay maximum 0,5 h inside, even though they said it has 30 C, it was not true. Other person employed there as a manager, when we asked for a billiard before 21 h, she told us something in the sense...ok, but only half an hour, since they have to tolerate us", which does not sound very welcoming.The food was average. I would not return to this hotel and would look for the hotel owned by Slovaks since I felt that the staff is not happy there and in the end you pay more as u were to suppose to pay, which is something typical from Italy. Moreover, we had a room where was a noise from the cars se we had to sleep with the closed window.

Pension Crystal Ski is situated in lucrative part of High Tatras, in the village Nova Lesna. It is offering accommodation in newly equipped double, triple and quadruple rooms. Tatra electric railway station and bus stop, connecting the village with the whole area of High Tatras and the city Poprad, are 15 minutes walking distance from the pension. Breakfast,dinner, coffee, tea, alcoholic and soft drinks are served in the lunchroom with cocktail lounge. Free WIFI internet connection is available for our guests.
Very basic room in an isolated village

Try not to stay in their smallest double room (usually allocated to single travellers - at 15 euro including breakfast) which is really, really small - the room is mostly taken up by the double bed. You need to squeeze your way through whatever little space left to get to the attached shower room and toilet. I'm rather petite and yet I still find the room way too small. Basically, you just try not to move around much while in the room, otherwise, you'll end up feeling very frustrated and bruised (I kept knocking into the bed frame and wardrobe as there's simply not enough room to manoevre myself to get from a spot to another!). I moved into a more expensive, larger room the next day and the difference in room size is tremendous! A summary review of this pension : Good points : (1) cleanliness of the room and the attached shower/toilet (2) quiet location (3) low price (4) friendliness of the staff (they only work in the morning) Weak points : (1) Isolated pension - There's a supermarket and a restaurant near the pension but they were shut throughout my 3 days' stay there. So, you won't be able to get your necessities or any food there. Saw a wine shop though - so that's about the only place you could go to. For meals, you need to take the train to the bigger villages nearby (2) No curtains or blinds for the windows so do not expect any privacy (3) Breakfast served was passable - however, I noticed that cereals were left uncovered and there were flies in the breakfast room - it just kills your appetite (4) No amenities in the room - no soap, no TV, no hair-dryer but that's expected given the low room rate In short, this place is good for just a night and only if you really want to save on accommodation. For a more comfortable and convenient place, I would suggest staying at the bigger villages where you can find more facilities and places of interests.

Reviewed By KublajsWe had a very good time in this pension! The owner was very funny and he was ready to do for you whatever you wanted! It was great stay in there. The breakfast was also very good. The tram station was really close to house, so we didn´t have to start a car when we wanted to go to High Tatras or Poprad. I don´t want to stay somewhere else next time.

Reviewed By Tom DWe had an excellent time in Slovakia and Privat Nisa with its lovely owner Lena was a huge part of this. Friendly and helpfull she made us feel super welcome. The appartment itself was spacious, clean and has everything you need. Good kitchen with two induction plates, a microwave and fridge. A modern shower and a nice big bedroom. We will absolutely return when we can. We were in appartment 1a

Reviewed By pemo2016Byli jsme v létě - Výhodná poloha penzionu - nejblíže k električce, okolí louky, není další zástavba. Velmi příjemné prostředí jak v penzionu, tak okolí - louky , pohled na Tatry, příjemný a ochotný majitel, který se snažil vyjít vstříc, rozbila se nám sprcha - bylo velmi rychle opraveno, potřebovali jsme lůžkoviny navíc - dostali jsme, výměna ručníků na přání, poskytnuty dobré rady pro cestování a túry. Vybavení pokoje velmi kvalitní a příjemné a teplé barvy, velmi dobré spaní - kvalitní matrace, vždy teplá voda - sprcha, TV se slovenskými programy - stejně není čas, wifi vždy fungovala. Prezentované obrázky penzionu a pokojů a okolí odpovídá skutečnosti. Je možné využít masáží přímo v penzionu. Kuchyň - (vaříte si sami) velká, dobře vybavená (možná jen detail - menší pánvičku pro dva), lze stolovat venku na terase - jak snídaně tak večeře - úžasné s výhledem na Tatry. Byli jsme naprosto spokojeni a protože vyhledáváme spíše klid a pohodu, vrátili bychom se zpět do tohoto penzionu.
