Comfortable Accommodation, close to CBD

Lovely, friendly service. Very affordable and I got a bonus discount for being a G'day Parks member! The cabin we stayed in was low-key but comfortable and warm, especially as it was a very cold winter weekend. Plenty of space and beds for the family. An easy short walk to the CBD. There is a large entertainment room with a fantastic set out camp kitchen which also has books, tv and games. The scenery is just beautiful.

Dinner by the pool . Lunch on the verandah. Waited on like royalty !Tim and Diana are the most beautiful, helpful hosts. Could not recommend more highly.

A pleasant 2 night stay

Reviewed By Abbykat

We were happy with our room for 2 nights. Self checkin was easy, though I did have trouble when it came to payment. A quick phone call and all was sorted. The room was small with a queen and single. The usual bench for the toaster and kettle, which also accommodated a sink which doubled for hand washing and dishwashing. There was a single chair, mwo, large TV, plates etc. The toilet and large shower were in a seperate alcove. The rain shower was excellent, and the whole room was lovely and bright in a predominate white decor. Bed was comfortable and even though there's no outlook, they've planted a tree in the tiny enclosure. Most rooms have undercover parking and you use your phone number to access your room. Good lighting throughout but no reading lights (only a down light) or bedside tables except for a very tiny shelf. All in all, a pleasant stay and would probably stay again. PLEASE NOTE, PHOTOS TAKEN WHEN WE WERE CHECKING OUT.

Brilliant

This was a very unjque style of motel unit. It felt like we were in a ski cabin in Europe somewhere. It was simple, clean, modern and efficient. With contactless check-in using a computer screen, we were checked in and inside in minutes with a coded entry. It was well sealed and warm and everything else was comfortable and worked properly. For this price it represents fabulous value. We have stayed in many motels along the way that were more expensive and nowhere near as good. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to stay in the area.

Beautiful view, but……

Reviewed By Peter M

We were originally attracted by the view offered and that did not disappoint. However, three areas that were not up to par were the breakfast, wifi and hospitality. The accommodation is Bed and Breakfast and this appears several times in their blurb but reference to it being ‘a hamper’ only once. We have had hampers before and they can be good, this whole breakfast set up was disappointing. You are given an allocation of bacon, eggs, 1 piece of bread each and a little butter on a shelf on the fridge which is fine. No fresh fruit, peanut butter, vegemite or salt (the grinder was empty), just shared jars of jam which did not seem like great practice in COVID times. Only one room could cook breakfast at a time so we had to wait 30 minutes one morning to have access to the frypans etc. As there was no dishwasher you had to do your own washing up, this took time and highlighted different standards that people have and once again raised COVID safety concerns. Wifi was non existent. We were told they had run out of data because of the number of guests visiting. I at least had Telstra, people in room next door had Optus, no reception and no way of seeking information/ maps re their next day. We were never met by our hosts and only by coincidence saw Cindy as we were leaving after our two night stay.

A bit tired

Reviewed By AussieHolidays

I would best describe this hotel as being adequate. The hotel is ripe for a renovation but does have some redeeming features. It is well located being a moderate walk to shops and dining options. Parking is outside the room. The room had a very good electric operated blind which made the room very dark. The room is a good size but furnishings are quite dated. The room did lack bowls and cutlery which made eating any takeaway food in the room difficult. Each room had a bench out the front fixed to the ground which seem to be placed there for smokers. Service at reception was fine and the tariff not too pricey. Noise travelled quite freely between the rooms. I wouldn’t be in a rush to stay there again.

Comfortable, well located units

We stayed 4 nights in the 1 bedroom unit late March 2022. The unit was modern, fully equipped, quiet, and well located. It has a full kitchen, a laundry, separate bedroom, large bathroom, a private outdoor area, and a carport. We could not ask for more, and can thoroughly recommend 16 King St as ideal to stay in the town of Myrtleford.
