Reviewed By saronicLocation of this hotel just by the small and usually quiet coastal road is ideal and there are great views across the lake with the chance - depending on the weather - to see Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain. The building itself goes back to the mid-19th century and although updated to modern standards, there is still some nostalgic touch. Check-in was easy and friendly and the superior room, which we had booked, was on the top, the 5th floor with the elevator only going up to the 4th floor, so we had to walk up on a staircase for the last stretch. There are only 4 rooms on that floor. Our room was cosy, not too big, and with windows on two sides, one offering great views towards the lake. A bit odd were the colours in the room: flowery window curtains and pillows, but armchairs in an aggressive blue, which did not match. There was wall to wall carpenting, but due to the slanted walls no pictures could be hung up. In the room was a mini-bar, but no tea or coffee making facilities. It had a small writing desk, but in general not enough plugs. The double bed was good and it was very quiet at night. The bathroom was fine. Breakfast was in the restaurant 'Le Pavois' on the ground floor. They also have a more elegant restaurant on the first floor, which was closed during our stay, and opposite the hotel entrance is the restaurant 'Le Jardin' on a covered terrace, mainly meant for lunch. Breakfast was a buffet with a good choice of items. Morges itself is a pleasant and attractive little town, with the center being very close from the hotel, also interesting excursions can be done from here, either in the direction of Lausanne or towards the wine-growing area of La Côte.

Great location but not great hotel
Reviewed By T7386FQchristinakLiked · The location Disliked · For starters the hotel offered parking (seven parking stalls for 24 rooms), therefore the parking charge overnight is Francs 30.00 (in our case that worked out to 2.50 francs per hour. The breakfast offering was Continental breakfast at 15.00 Francs per person or for a buffet breakfast 25.00 francs per person staying in the room. Therefore this hotel located in Morges charges more for their Room then the Hyatt Regency at the airport in Zurich. In the morning my son found three long black hair underneath his pillow - he is blond and has short hair. The bathtub is 6 feet, extremely slippery with no hand rail anywhere in sight to enter or exist this deep or( if you want high tub.) The new building is behind the old house and looks rather new but this does not change the fact the hygiene does not seem a high priority. I would not stay again in this hotel, I simply know the difference between good and mediocre.

Reviewed By waynelondon01This was our first trip back to Morge to see family members since 2018.Stayed the last time here and on this visit the hotel, has since had a refurbishment and been refreshed and looks great.You get a very warm welcome with clean rooms friendly staff and a nice breakfast.If your looking for a great place to stay I would recommend here it’s good value to compared to other hotels in the area.

Wonderful boutique hotel
Reviewed By 132christinecOur family, from around the world, have just returned from a four day visit to Lausanne for the Triathlon world championships. We decided to stay in Morges as it was better value and quieter than Lausanne, the train connections are so quick and frequent that travel was not a problem. The little hotel was a wonderful find. The staff were all lovely and helpful even finding a lockable room for my son to keep his very precious triathlon bike in. The rooms were all different with a mixture of decor - our huge, black and white bathroom had an artificial, life sized zebra head on the wall! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of croissants, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, cold meat, cheese and home grown tomatoes. There is a lovely terrace outside to eat, if the weather is clement. There is a small Italian Restaurant at the hotel (it is run separately to the hotel by a delightful Italian young man) which is fairly good but not cheap (nothing is in Switzerland). Overall, we had a memorable stay and thoroughly enjoyed the Swiss hospitality.

Beautiful views but........hotel needs updated
Reviewed By H4girls2boysWe stayed at la Fleur du Lac at a strange time, just after things opened up from Covid-19. We live in Switzerland and wanted to get away with our family for the weekend. We did have a nice stay in Morges. It's a beautiful little town and close to other places we wanted to visit. La Fleur du Lac had very nice views of the lake from the rooms. The rooms were comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a simple but nice selection. Like other reviews have mentioned, the hotel is due for an update. This hotel does have amazing potential but needs some attention to the fine details. The carpet in the stairway was dirty, the table cloth on the terrace table had stains, and the wifi was not very good. The hotel does not have air-conditioning but we were there during a cooler weekend and did not need it. The cool breeze from the lake at night was perfect.

There’s everything you may need, even the breakfast was served in the morning. Rooms are not big but cozy (5 rooms in the entire building). Shared toilet and bathroom. Living room where I worked in the morning and kitchen with a teapot and dishes. Great price-quality relation, responsible and polite host who always stays in touch. Highly recommended for a short stay in Morges.

Reviewed By jacquelinem449Yep this is home away from home! I had the red room again, spacious, with a kettle, microwave oven and s fridge . The weather was hit so the pool was a big bonus! The owners Evelyne and Laurent are charming and helpful, also knowledgeable in thing to visit and restaurants in the area. A great choice!
