They run into the room to pick a bed and they scream at a stained cover, looked like blood but idk, but I call for a new one. Then the 6 year old said some was on the ground and the staff apologized but didn’t know what else to do. After looking for blood on the ground we saw old m&m & nerds candies we didn’t have so the floor was not vacuumed too well, when I wiped up ice I wiped up a lot of other dirt & hair, you can feel it on your feet. I tried to ignore it. Kids found a white mark on door which I wiped off with water easily and then saw it looked like pop was splattered on the door and I had to use my nail to scrape it off so it was left on their for a good while to have to be scraped off. The phone was dusty. Looked like makeup stains on the towels. So this room was not inspected too well. Next morning I saw my 2nd pillow which was behind the first one, thank goodness, had the same looking stain on it. Other than that it was good and the staff was nice. But someone didn’t do a good job cleaning. Which makes me think what all else was not cleaned too well yuck but we survived so far!

Reviewed By aakh2019The service was great. The gal at the front desk was extremely friendly and went out of her way to help us. She also recommended Tequilas to eat and it was fabulous. After we checked out they found an item left in the room and the same gal called to see if they wanted us to send it. The hotel was very quiet and clean. The pool area was very clean compared to most other hotels we have stayed at.

Reviewed By Leanne MWe’ve been camping so after a couple of dumpy motels this one was a treat. It wasn’t brand new but very well maintained. There was a cold breakfast served and best of all laundry facilities so we spent an hour waiting and organizing our vehicle. If you like cats there’s 2 that roam freely in the main area.

Worth the price
Reviewed By she1989We always stay here when we go back to McCook. This used to be the Chief. The prices are good, rooms are decent - though sometimes, they overuse the cleaning solutions. The pool table is gone so we were disappointed. The best feature is the large gathering space near the pool. The breakfast used to be amazing with eggs and biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, and more, but now is just bare bones so most of us go somewhere else to eat. The service was great and we appreciated being able to stay in the common area a little longer to play cards with our large family - there for a funeral. And, the manager rescued a kitten not long before we arrived and my mom ended up taking her home. She's happy and healthy and has made my mom so happy! Thanks for being so kind!

The young woman in the office was super helpful and friendly, shared her extensive knowledge of the area and pointed me to a great restaurant and the cheapest gas in town. The cold AC was appreciated on this hot summer evening!

Terrible mattress
Reviewed By Peanut045We had seen their sign saying recently renovated. It must have been an old sign, because our room was not recently renovated. And the mattress was very soft and uncomfortable. Very disappointing as it was not an inexpensive room. Also we were told our room was pet free, but there were signs and rules about dogs in the room hanging on the inside door.

Horrible experience
Reviewed By lisamO8844UPHorrible experience! Woman screaming all night outside our room. Took hours for police to come and remove her. We got no sleep and hotel refused any tyoe of compensation. Months of dealing with their manager, multiple calls to police department and filling out a police statement for disturbing the peace to no avail. Manager very unsympathetic to situation. Will never stay there again!
