We stayed here over Christmas, for several nights. Great central location. The room was clean, and with a really good bed and great pillows, and a nice bathroom with a good shower. The breakfast was very nice, and it included more traditional food, and it was clear that it was prepared by someone who loves food. They didn't serve identical breakfast every morning either, so it was nice with some variation there. The staff were very helpful as well, we needed to checkout very early to drive to the airport on time, but that was no problem for them to help with. Our room had a balcony with a view over a town square, and you could see some of the mountains in the distance.

I was there for a couple of nights and I must say I was not thrilled. The room I got was at the ground floor of the hotel, but it was in fact below the street level. The result is that anybody from the street can look down through the window and there is a very uncomfortable feeling of lack of privacy. Otherwise, the room was big and comfortable and nice. Another problem was the fact that the door frame simply broke when I tried to open it. Do not imagine I am some kind of muscle guy, I am a physicist (yes, think Sheldon Cooper...) and yet, when I tried to open the door, the frame broke at the door lock - which meant the door was not closing properly anymore. I suspect it was already a bit loose and it just broke the first time I opened it. Although the lady at the reception was there and saw very well what happen, the result is that they asked me to pay for the repair - not much, some 20 EUR, but I find this very unfair. Finally, the breakfast was nothing special, although it was plentiful. What reminded me very much about the old communist times was that I was receiving every morning some breakfast vouchers that I had to give to the waiter. In short, maybe it works if you cannot find something better, but honestly I will avoid returning there.

Hotel was a convenience stop midway for us while driving North. Not particularly inspiring decor- was like stepping back in time with so much chrome and pastels. Room was clean and functional. And front desk staff helpful.

Situated in one of the most accessible entrance ways in Baia Mare (European Road E58), but still far away from the urban flurry, it offers a soothing scenery. The varied culture, the broad history and welcoming people frame a set of activities appropriate for a relaxing or business visit. With our 27 vintage designed and modern equipped rooms we are here to delight your feelings. Our a la carte restaurant, La Gourmet, with two menus, one traditional and one fine dining, will take your taste-buds to a new level. Evergreen dance club is just a step away, here you can sit, dance or relax beside a tasty cocktail, good retro / house music.
We spent two nights at Magus Hotel and it was wonderful. The room was big, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast had a big variety of choices, all of them tasty. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious too. I highly recommend this hotel, not only for transit, but also if you want to visit Maramures or go hiking as we did. I would definitely come again.

4 traditional Maramures houses beautifully restored by an English family who live in the picturesque village of Breb in Northern Transylvania. Sleeps up to 20 people. Breakfast included along with an introduction to rural Romanian peasant life. The standard of the accommodation is high along with the attention to detail. Each person who stays at the Village Hotel - Transylvania is a guest in our home and our village, and made to feel that way.
I really liked it and got sort of friends with the animator Vitalie, he let me do the lights at the mini disco too! The whole animation team was great! I would love to go back here! And the jungle show was so good, i loved it!

A brand new guesthouse whose architecture is particular, with wooden floor and a terrace with a gorgeous view of the village and the hills covered with orchards, situated at 6 km from Sighet, Maramures.
The place is so quiet and warm. The dinner has been prepared by the hostess of pension and it was so delicious. Florin is always available for informations you need. And the city is well placed for Maramures tour. Pension recommended.

We visited this place in the past, but we only had lunch here. This year we decided to stay for a few days, because we liked the place very much. The hosts exceeded our expectations. Everything was more than perfect. The room was amazing-good mattress, good pillows, nice smart tv. Bathroom modern and clean. But the best part? THE FOOD❤️! They only have local ingredients. Bread made at their place, sausages the same, good mulled wine, jam, best meat I ate in a while. And the fish-just amazing with their polenta. If you want to book this place, don’t think twice, just do it! They have pools in the summer, some cute animals and they are also pet-friendly. I can’t reccomend this place enough. Can’t wait to be back. Multumiri gazdelor si fetelor care ne-au servit. Totul a fost la superlativ. De abia asteptam sa revenim.❤️

I am reviewing the restaurant only. A terrible experience. Overpriced old food. The dishes were not brought at the same time which meant many of us sat waiting while others were eating. The food is not worth the visit. Old and not tasty. The prawn pasta was just spaghetti with plain tomato sauce and a few fried prawns thrown on top, the polenta was old and crumbly, the garlic sauce was bitter (old). I do not recommend the restaurant in this hotel. Do not waste your money.

Located 5 minutes from downtown Viseu de Sus, La Cassa is easy to find and is a place where you can test the well-known hospitality of Maramures in a warm atmosphere with exceptional service.
We went there for dinner two days in a row after we discovered this restaurant. We asked to be seated outside, and we liked the garden and the lazy cats there :) The food was very tasty and service was great. They serve mostly traditional food, and the portions are big! Good value for money, I recommend this place.
