Reviewed By David BVery helpful and friendly staff, along with comfortable and spotless rooms. I enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. This hotel is a really nice choice between Berlin and Dresden, only an hour in either direction, and the room prices can’t be beat compared to city costs. Restaurant has excellent quality food and beer as well.

Reviewed By 427leszekdHotel located in the center of Luebbenau. There is a small, free car park next to the hotel. I stayed 1 night on a business trip. The room I received was bright (2 windows) and spacious. Large bathroom - also with a window :-), bathtub and shower, equipped with a dryer, bath gel, towels. Very good WiFi signal quality. Breakfast is served in the form of a Swedish buffet, where everyone will find something for themselves that will please them. I highly recommend the hotel for short and long term stays.

Thought there is direct view to the famous small canals, nature, well know for this region but it’s located in living area. The interior looks like mixed up land house style and home-improvement market. It’s functional, simple and standard bed & breakfast. We missed a special character of this hotel. The fee & access to the Spreewelten Bad is included. We don’t understand the context to penguins. The very negative thing is that they expect on weekends min. 2 nights. So you’re not able to book only 1 night on weekends. That’s a no go and we never had this policy before! For a baby cot & bath robe you have to pay extra. That must be included. Very sad. Parking is free. The service should be more friendly. Foods are only buffet and average. Restaurant is not all time open. All in all average B&B.

Nice vaccation
Reviewed By ElenaB18Starick is quite a big complex with several small houses directly on the canal. We had a nice deluxe room, the bed was hard (good!), nicely equipped. Well filled minibar (the price was the same as in the restaurant). On the window was a mosquito-net (very useful), on the terrasse we can chill with wine under tree...idyllic. Breakfast was rich and good, coffee was not good at all (but my friend liked it). Staff was friendly, and we also rented a bikes-cost 10E pro day (June 2020), with 3-speed it was enough for flatty Spreewald. The Gurken were tasty, the gurkenmuseum-we were waiting a bit more, there are 3 rooms with traditional daily products, some agricultural tools, and some alt recipes for pickles.

Reviewed By roaming_kiwi58We stayed at the Hotel Schloss Lubbenau for 2 nights with a group as part of a tour. The converted schloss has a lovely situation in a park, with easy walking access to the town of Lubbenau, and close to the canal for rides into Spreewald. We had a large room on the top floor of the hotel. Even though it was the end of summer it was hot in the room. There is no air conditioning, but there was a fan in our room, which we needed. You have to be careful to only open the windows which have netting across them, other you are in danger of getting a room full of mosquitoes - however, we saw very few while we were there. We had a fixed menu meal as a group one night in the hotel. It was tasty. Breakfast had an adequate selection. Can't comment on value, as it was included in the price of our tour. Nice place to stay, particularly if you like the outdoors.

Reviewed By PublicProfileThis is a very nice hotel / restaurant in the middle of the spreewald area. Rooms are clean, very nicely decorated and the service is always friendly and accommodating. The fresh (and self-smoked) fish at the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. They also have canoes and bikes to rent and can make route recommendations. Rooms seem a bit expensive but considering the location, atmosphere and quality of this place absolutely reasonable. Strong recommendation and I will definately come back!

Local food with great service
Reviewed By Alexandra_AlessandraLunch for 6 persons in 1 hour - thank you for fast and meal. We have tried local dishes - cucumbers, potatoes and fish. Tge fish is wonderful, very tasty. Local beer is also good. Service is very friendly and fast. One bad thing - no English menu, need a dictionary to understand what is inside each dish.
