We have just returned from two nights at this hotel and overall, had a lovely stay. The rooms were both very clean and comfortable and the wifi was excellent. We were unable to book a table for dinner as the restaurant was full on both nights we were there, so I cannot comment on the food. The staff were all super friendly. The only slight negative was that the air conditioning was broken in our room. The hotel provided us with a fan which was great but had the temperature outside been any higher, the room would have been uncomfortable. Hopefully the hotel will have this fixed in the near future.

Positives - shower, only staying 1 night, very convenient for loughborough stadium Negatives - room was small, too hot (no air con and ground floor window could only be opened very slightly), and had very little sound insulation. Bed was uncomfortable and woken at 4.55am / 5.15am / 5.35am by TV that kept turning itself on!

Enjoyed two nights here while visiting the Grand Central Railway which is a short walk away. Lez and Derek are fantastic hosts. The house is very unique and full of interesting antiques and collectables. There's so much to look at. The breakfast was super, the room was fine and the bed very comfortable and there's on site parking as well. A great B&B!

A chic village gastropub with rooms, located 3.1 miles from East Midlands Airport, 4.6 miles off the M1 motorway and 5.3 miles from the Great Central Railway. The contemporary rooms have en suite shower rooms with luxury toiletries, as well as 32-inch flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridges and the superior room has extra space and a sofa area. A full English or continental breakfast is included, while an upscale modern British menu is served in the rustic-chic pub, which has exposed brick details, beamed ceilings and fireplaces.
We stayed for three nights. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect, including a good WiFi connection. The food was exceptional, far better than we were expecting. One small niggle: the shower floor was like an ice rink. Take care. If we are in the area again we'd definitely stay at The Royal Oak.

Large room and bathroom. However, no plug for a bath, then when we did get one the water was luke warm, no remote for TV, then when they did find us one there was no signal. Towels were crispy and certainly didn't smell fresh. But the bed was clean and comfortable, nice location

This award wining hotel, originally known as Charnwood House, dates back to the time of the Doomsday book. The hotel is created around the original 17th century listed building. The outstanding cuisine, the delightful surroundings and the tranquility of the gardens leading down to the River Soar are appreciated by many of the guests who return time and again for either business or pleasure.
When I arrived at the Quorn Country Hotel there was no one in reception. After waiting and searching for someone to check me in, a female member of staff arrived in reception and advised me to take a seat and someone would soon be able to check me in the hotel. Eventually, after waiting 25 minutes I was checked into the hotel. I found that delay to be unacceptable, but was then somewhat reconciled when I Eventually reached my room and found it very nice. The next morning I enjoyed a good waitress served breakfast, but as I left the restaurant I was advised that I would not be able to get a meal in their restaurant that evening as it would be closed. When I was going out of the hotel I asked if I could leave the rather large key and fob in reception but then informed that service was not available at the Quorn Country Hotel.

Spectacular three story granite building proudly boasts six individually styled bedrooms ranging from the ethnic origins of The Biko room to the regal opulence of the Louis Room. With full restaurant and bar serving delicious food and drinks all day - seven days a week.
our stay was very enjoyable. the room was nice, if not a bit tired looking. Wouldn't say it was an executive suite..... The Staff were extremely friendly and were very attentive. The menu was a bit disappointing. Not what we read on the website, which was one of the reasons we chose to stay there. It was more of a pub rather than a restaurant menu. Other than that, we would go back again.

The Manor House is a stylish Victorian country pub located on the edge of the beautiful village of Quorn. Just two miles from Lougborough (equidistant between Nottingham and Leicester) and within easy reach of the A46 / A1 and M1. Around 15 minutes to East Midlands Airport, and under two hours from London by car or train. The Manor House offers great food in a classic pub and stylish restaurant.
⋆✭♡⁑ A lucky find ⁑♡✭⋆ I can not recommend the Manor House enough! I called on the Tuesday for a last minute room as my husbands work is in the area, and there was only one room left but as I was desperate they did us a fantastic deal, hotel room, breakfast & parking is excellent value. Phil showed us to our room even though he was rushed off his feet and even carried my case. He and his great team of staff in a busy bar / restaurant looked after us then while we dined in the restaurant. The food was spectacular, except for the lamb which was too chewy for me and without a breath of hesitation one of the staff offered sincere apology, deducted it from the bill and offered something else. The rest of the meal was incredible. The room…. OMG the room! So luxurious with an immense roll top cast iron bath! Comfy bed, lots of room and a stylish bathroom and shower. And THEN the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel. All local and top quality. Last but certainly not least - late checkout at 12 afforded me the luxury of laying in the bath on a Saturday morning listening to the children in the field behind play rugby and cheer while the old fashioned train chugged past - it was like something out of an Enid Blighton novel. Every single member of staff has a smile and is keen to do what they can. Loved it so much that they are full tonight so had to find somewhere else but will be back on Sunday.
