We celebrated our wedding here! From the beginning to the end everything was perfect! Great staff, lovely food and nice location. We had a nice aperitif outdoor with local sparkling wine and local snacks. Afterwards we were in a lovely small room with a chimney for our wedding dinner! We had a blast! To end up the night we went to the bar which was also fun. Thanks to all staff members of the Belvedere for making our day memorable

The Hotel & Lounge Lago Maggiore is located in a privileged position on the lakeside of Locarno-Muralto and offers an "Active lifestyle" to its active guest, who loves beauty and quality service in a modern and informal environment. To welcome you, a splendid terrace-lounge, a bright hall furnished with design elements and inviting double rooms or junior suites with balconies and splendid views.
Exceptional in all ways! Easter weekend trip to this beautiful hotel on the Lakeshore of Locarno - Staff make you feel beyond special due to their humble yet caring attendance - Rooms were perfectly arranged, spacious and catered to all needs (coffee pods available) - Breakfast buffet was generous and delicious - Afternoon drinks in the lounge were exceptional (best Bloody Mary I had in a long while and generous snacks provided!) - Partying gift of 2 artisanal beers were consumed with nostalgia as I wish to only return as soon as possible!! Grazie!

The ibis Locarno hotel is located in the heart of the town of Locarno, just a few minutes' walk from the lake, the ferry terminal, the Piazza Grande and the casino. It is 100% non-smoking. The hotel is fully air-conditioned and has 83 rooms, of which 4 are for people with reduced mobility and 3 are suites. There is also a 24-hour bar serving snacks, a sauna, a welcoming breakfast area and an indoor paying car park (upon availability). Free WIFI access.
So far our experience with ibis has been quite good indeed. However, at this location, we got a small room (wall was shaking when neighbors slammed their door) with twin bed and narrow passage to the bath room. TV set was broken (repaired on next day).

Caffe dell'Arte Boutique Rooms is in a restored historic building, dating back to the 15th century. It is situated only 50 metres from Locarno's Piazza Grande, where the annual Locarno Film Festival, Moon and Stars Festival and Locarno on Ice are held. Free WiFi is available. The non-smoking rooms are unique in their design and different from one another. They come with a flat-screen TV and some also feature access to a balcony. Breakfast is prepared using fresh local products. The Caffe dell'Arte features a large courtyard sheltered by walls and allows one to fully relax whilst sipping an espresso, a creamy cappuccino or a hot chocolate. You can enjoy arts and culture in a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Around the Caffe dell'Arte Boutique Rooms you can find a great variety of restaurants offering everything from typical dishes from Ticino to nouvelle cuisine.
We were relieved to be in the historic centre in a heritage style building as many parts of Lucarno are modern with very bland architecture and frankly you scratch your head to find a choice of decent midrange restaurants which are not high end or touristy.Forget about retail and craft shops If it was not for the hotel we would have stayed in Ascona.without doubt as within its historic centre there is a range of restaurants and hotels lakeside and facing its sweeping harbour as well as diverse shopping opportunities However we chose Locarno specifically for this hotel as a base for our six night stay as we spent little time in the town itself The hotel room tariff is consistent for a hotel of this quality in Switzerland and it specifically states rooms not bed and breakfast. We often do not always like regular breakfasts in hotels and many do exclusive and inclusive of breakfast. However we did inclusive and were not disappointed. It was not a typical breakfast and it changed everyday - healthy fresh products with creative combinations the likes of which we have not experienced before. The breakfast area "Feel So Good " was part of the hotel yet open to nonguests through another entrance Firstly the hotel has reserved parking a few minutes walk away which was a bonus The hotel has been renovated and has a lot of quirky art throughout communal areas and rooms We chose a spacious corner room which was full of light. There were all the amenities and facilities there including coffee machine and safe.Importantly the mattress was high quality and extremely comfortable. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The reception is open during certain hours but the manager/owner is always available if needed and that is not surprising as there are only few rooms

The hotel is in a great location for literally everything you would want to see in Locarno. The staff are friendly, and try their best to cater for guests' needs. The breakfast buffet is good. You should book a room with a balcony, as the non-balcony rooms are a bit claustrophobic and not the nicest. The hotel is quite busy, with a number of groups staying there when we were there. Note that there is only a limited amount of free parking available, and the other parking is CHF 12/night.

The H4 Hotel Arcadia is located on the lakeside promenade in Locarno, and is only separated from Lago Maggiore by the lakeside road. Positives: - hotel is in an excellent location on the main road over looking the lake and only 5/10 mins into the centre of town - rooms are nice and comfortable, lovely bed, big balcony. Bathroom felt brand new and spotlessly clean - nice, varied breakfasts (I'd suggest adding baked beans but that's a personal thing!) Negatives: - there is an absolutely massive (HUGE) tree out by the pool which basically throws the whole pool area into shade for a large part of the day. It is FAR too big and needs to be trimmed back. On our first day around the pool the sun didn't come out from behind the tree until 12pm and then is lost behind the hotel at 4pm. People were all moving around the pool trying to find a bit of sun. Can't do anything about it going behind the hotel obviously but trimming the tree is a must! - the pool looked like it needed a good clean which is a real shame and I wouldn't expect it of a hotel like this (or indeed even a basic hotel). The water on the first day was really milky and green looking (it did improve slightly) and there is green slime around the walls and stairs (the stairs particularly). - the sunbeds around the pool are SO hard! There's not that many of them so wouldn't be too much to buy some cushions. - didn't feel like there were enough staff in the bar area so they were often unable to provide room service, and then closed at 11pm even when there were customers still in the bar which is a bit strange for a hotel.

The Hotel Du Lac has a privileged position, indeed it's located in the pedestrian zone in the heart of Locarno and only 150 meters from the Piazza Grande; meeting point for many events that occur throughout the year. For those who prefer to travel by train, the Hotel is located just 200 meters from the train station of Locarno. If you choose to come by car instead, a parking garage "Parking Centro" is 20 meters from the Hotel entrance. Parking places are available at a special price.
Room needs updating but, otherwise, was fine as was the bathroom. We enjoyed the balcony and appreciated the automated awning that kept the afternoon sun from the room. We did have A/C which was great since we had very warm weather. Included breakfast was enjoyable...the basic continental breakfast but good. The dining area included a patio which made it even better with Covid still on the front burner. The location was great as the bus stop was very close. The hotel, like many Swiss towns, provided a visitor pass which included free bus transportation along with other discounts. We took the bus to Ascona which we loved. The hotel was helpful in directing us to a pharmacy where we got our Covid tests 3 days before returning home.

It is the perfect place for wonderful hiking itineraries to the mountains and to the valleys of Maggia and Verzasca. During the year, there are many events for example: the “Camelia” show, Moon and stars and the Film Festival that let the city of Locarno becoming a shiny place full of joy, fun and entertainment. Newly renovated in 2018, the Hotel Millennium offers 11 rooms and a Penthouse with a panoramic view on the lake. Our Team is welcoming you cordially to our Hotel. Dogs are allowed and appreciated.
A beautiful hotel, great location. I came here with my 2 daughters. The room was tiny but had a very large and ultra comfy double bed. And the antichambre (separates by a door) had a twin bed. Everything was sparkling clean, with nice touches like apples and cookies on the pillows, lots of bathroom products. The room was very quiet (once our lovely neighbors were done with their mating activity...) and we all slept divinely. Breakfast was perfect: homemade jams, delicious bread and sweetbreads, cheese and hams, eggs, fruits, hot drinks. Our host was very very keen to make sure everything f was perfect and there really isn’t anything better than a clean welcoming place with hosts who take pride in their property! We will return. Soon!

Hotel Geranio au Lac is located on the beautiful Locarno-Muralto lake promenade, within a few steps from the railway station and the departure point for the Lake Maggiore ferryboats. It is 300 meters from the Locarno City centre with its mixture of main shops, department stores and boutiques located on and around the beautiful Piazza Grande. Many restaurants, cafes and bars are very close to the hote
We spent three nights in early September in a room overlooking Lago Maggiore. Reasonably priced, comfortable room with a magnificent view, great location, good breakfasts and particularly helpful staff who helped us navigate the perils of parking, advised us on places to eat and were very friendly.
