On numerous occasions he went out of his way to help us print things, get an extra bed and even setup a beautiful surprise Valentine’s Day display in the room for my wife—- excellent service Joe! I will likely return.

The resort has its own beach with sailing boat and surfing club. The surfing club provides quite affordable course by experienced ex-pro coaches. One could get aquatinted with basic surfing skills in hours. For sailing boat lovers, the sailing boat course with 8 hours (4 days) can give you essential sailing skills and even arrange a qualification test for sailing boat certificate.

Wonderful Hotel with very friendly staff
Reviewed By cosmopolitsThe best thing about this hotel is the staff. The service is exceptional for Chinese standards and everyone is very helpful. You definitely need to be able to speak some Chinese since most of the employees don't speak much English. We want to say a big thank you to Charly and Nemo who were a big help with all of our questions. We booked the hotel with a special deal on Dianping and they let us stay in the Ocean View room during our whole stay. The room is spacious, clean and had an amazing view (number 530). The hotel breakfast is what you expect booking a Marriott with lots of Western choices as well as Chinese food. The facilities are also on a very high standard. There are different pools available and the gym has plenty of options with cardio and workout equipment. When we asked for some bottles of water it was brought to the gym! One of the unique features of this Marriott are the plenty activities they offer. Dragon building, archery, horse riding and of course surfing. There is a surfshop on the beach that belongs to the hotel. We went surfing to what is in our point of view the coolest beach on Hainan at the Ri Yue Bay (日月湾）. It is a 20 minute drive away and also very easy to reach. From Sanya Airport you will need about an hour. We took the taxi to the hotel for about 350RMB. For the way back we used our rental car. There are not really many downsides for this hotel. The staff could speak a bit more English but due to the pandemic most tourists were domestic. The location is a bit far away from outside restaurants and shops, but you can use Didi for Taxi or order food via Meituan. So really no big downsides. We can highly recommend the Marriott Xiang Shui Wan!

Amazing experience
Reviewed By KHHEIIt is a newly opened hotel. Hotel Staff were friendly and reliably. When we arrvied at hotel , we was greeted and welcomed by hotel GM, a very nice lady. Front Desk Staff escorted us to our room. It was a great arrival expereince. The hotel breakfast was various and delicious. Room was comfortable, all linen were soft and in good conditions.

Even its not the closest hotel to the beach,but you can ask for shuttle service (fixed times ) or make a short run or walk (20-30min) to the beach. This hotel fits the international standards, and we would recommend it to our friends or consider again for our next visit. Best regards,

Lifts are very slow and we found a nice restaurant around the corner with sizzling hot food. Many small restaurants with local people and good to have Baidu Translator to communicate with locals
