Good very convenient hotel
Reviewed By rrfguruStayed for 6-nights due to it's location and the convenience of having kitchen facilities. Check-in was a little brisk as my credit card was declined via the Hilton Honors app, and receptionist was a little short when asked her to try the same card on arrival - which went through. Other than initial experience not being excellent everything else was really good and value for money. Kitchen could do with a little more cutlery - 1 fork, 3 spoons and 2 knives wasn't ideal but manageable. Stove top available from reception but large fridge/freezer, decent microwave and plenty of crockery made our stay really easy to avoid the multiple fast food options in the area. Room was very clean on arrival and with housekeeping available on request (in addition to them having their cleaning schedule signposted) had no complaints about the cleanliness of the hotel. Other minor gripe was the breakfast finished at 9am on the dot which was a little early for leisure travellers, but coffee available all day and tended to have breakfast in the room thanks to the available facilities. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Needed a place that had handicap accessible room and shower
Reviewed By HopefulDhHaving our bathroom redone to accommodate my mother who is handicapped. We are here for 10 days. I have never seen a place so willing to help in every way. My mom was hospitalized for our first 4 days and now my dog who was diagnosed as a diabetic. The staff is so caring and will do everything they can help their guests. From extra towels to just even asking you is everything okay. I have seen them with multiple guests. Our experience has been more involved, but I am so glad my family chose to stay here. You never know what someone is going through and they really care. All staff not just front desk. Thanks for everything

The 5:30 kickback was a full meal. Excellent. The breakfast was over the top too. All the workers at both meals were hard workers, friendly and made you feel welcome. Great staff!!!! Cleanliness was another job well done. Rooms, hallways, elevators and public areas were spotless. We will be back as soon as we are passing through again on our trips to Disney! These employees go above and beyond. Had a 7th floor room and at the end of the hall! My favorite location. Seems like Brian just knew. Thanks!!!!

Great if you don't need your room cleaned during the stay
Reviewed By Ozzy520First, I just want to say this is a nice place to stay with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. It's also decently close to Purdue University. The staff was great and everyone I encountered was very helpful and friendly. The food staff was also very nice. The negative came when I requested my room be cleaned ONCE during my stay of 10 days for work. I understand that help is hard to find and I don't need my room cleaned every day. I just needed some soap and my trash emptied (I ate a lot of meals in my room) so on day 5 I asked if my room could be cleaned. I was told "No, we don't have the staff to clean your room". I asked if someone could at least put some soap in the room and empty the trash. They did those items but took every single towel out of the room and didn't return any! I had to call the front and someone did bring towels later that night. Come on Marriott, pay your people better so guests staying more than 1-2 days can actually get their room cleaned! I don't think requesting a clean room ONCE during a 10 day stay was out of bounds. I'm a rewards member so I always look for Marriott Hotels when I travel, but I may have to find a different place in Lafayette.

Made for a nice visit home for family reunion

We were staying four nights & they don't provide maid service each day (due to covid restrictions). However, they only provided us TWO bath towels... for two ladies staying four nights! When my cousin asked for extras the housekeeper told her --- that's our policy! She explained our extended stay & the housekeeper gave her two more. There really wasn't any place in the bathroom to accommodate hanging four towels to dry so we could reuse! Had to ask for more at front desk on day three.... There is no microwave in the room. However, the one in the breakfast area is readily accessible. Nice refrig in room. The bacon at breakfast was THE BEST! It was cooked to perfection! Crispy without being burnt. Overall, I would definitely stay here on a return trip. Hotel address makes it a bit weird to get to--there is no entrance actually off of South Street. But, having lived in Lafayette for many years, it wasn't a problem for me. Out of towners may find themselves "going around the block". However, signage is good so shouldn't really be a problem.
