Found hotel outdated, uncomfortable, and in urgent need of a revamp. Pool unfortunately in the shade, so not inviting. Will not be staying again or recommending. Check out at 11:00?!?! Pluses were the buffet breakfast & terraces w/ wonderful views of Gibraltar & marina.

Located in La Linea, it is not quite Front Line and you will not get a sea view at the hotel below floors 3/4 due to properties in front of the hotel. Rooms were comfortable in a no frills kind of way. Hotel does not have a bar and restaurant only open for breakfast and dinner. Outside these times there is a kiosk on reception but with silly pricing - really €2.50 for a 330cl can of mahou ? Hotel is very attractive externally. There is a small seasonal pool to the rear. Good price point.

I think the average 3/5 review is a bit unfair. It's very economical. Slept very well. Perfect for Gibraltar, which is why people come to La Linea. The staff were polite and helpful with me. But it's worth being polite back- people react to how they're treated. Cuts both ways. I'd recommend people have a look round La Linea. It's quite a unique border town. I had a great, typical Spanish breakfast in one cafe (pan con tomate). The town has its notoriety but that won't affect tourists (I was a tourist). Better food there than in Gibraltar (which is why Gibraltans often cross the border to eat!)

We stayed 1 night as a family of 4. The main purpose of our trip was a day visit to Gibralter. The location is great. Short walk to the border of Gibralter. Lots of nice bars and restaurants near by. Reception staff were OK. The room was basic, we expected that anyway. Beds were comfy, room was clean, tv and aircon in the room! The one thing that has put me off going back was the very strong smell of urine coming from the bathroom and in to the bedroom!

Less than ten minutes walk from the Gibraltar border to the Boat it is a great option for accommodation when visiting. We had such a peaceful five nights here both visiting friends in Gibraltar and exploring La Linea. The Breakfast hamper was fantastic, with a great selection of items, some of which we wouldn't have thought to buy ourselves, and enough to feed us for a stay twice as long! Aircon cooled the boat down quickly when returning from dinner, 5 minutes on, then turn off again was all that was needed. A bluetooth speaker, and TV with Netflix were nice touches too. In under 15 minutes you can walk through the park to the beach which has good bars serving excellent seafood, and cocktails, or take a ride on one of the bikes and go further afield. Remember it is a boat. It will move slightly when moving around or in high winds, the rooms are compact, and it would be 'cosy' for more than two people. If you're ok with that, give it a go!

Stayed 6 nights to explore Gib & some of southern Spain. Single bed room on the 3rd floor, shared bathroom though the room itself had a sink. Communal Fridge, Microwave, Tea & Coffee also available. Staff speak little/no English & you have to leave the keys at reception every time you go out. First four nights were as expected, some noise & hustle & bustle from the streets below but ok with ear plugs. The 5th night what appeared to be a mentally ill drunk took residency in the next room, loud TV on until 2am, then kept shouting in his sleep. The last night a noisy couple came in, music on till 2am before they decided to engage in -ahem- other activities before they put the music on again until god knows when because I eventually fell asleep despite them. The establishment itself was ok for the price, clean enough, just dated, very basic & they should be tougher on inconsiderate guests.

Easy 10 min walk to border. 2 min walk to La Linear squares with cafes and restaurants. Basic, no frills hostel. Jesus receptionist incredibly helpful. Lovely guy with great customer service. The one down side is that the cleanliness of the rooms could be better. Dusty corners and under/behind beds!

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2018. We arrived earlier than expected but this was no problem and we could go straight to the room. Room small but clean and comfortable, nice bathroom with bath and good shower. Pleasant view onto small square with a pretty tiled (but non working) fountain. Staff are friendly and helpful, they don't speak much English and we have even less Spanish but we managed to get by. The food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. Like most of Southern Europe the Spanish eat late - the restaurant doesn't open till 8pm so bear that in mind. There are several kiosks and a couple of small supermarkets in the nearby streets but opening times of other shops and bars seem a bit random. We had 2 peaceful nights in the hotel, however this was spoiled on the Friday night when one of the bars in the square played incredibly loud, banging music from 10pm to 4am. Imagine the drum section of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards underneath your window for 6 hours with the drums plugged into amps turned up to 11 and you begin to get the picture. The square is surrounded by residential flats so how the neighbours stand it without a regular general anaesthetic I don't know. Even when the "music" stopped at 4am we were so on-edge that every little sound had us tensing up again so we had zero sleep. Not the hotel's fault but I recommend avoiding staying at the weekend.

A basic hotel suitable when you need somewhere to sleep overnight for one night. We arrived about 10pm and were out about 9am next morning. For this purpose, the hotel is fit for purpose. However, the big issue is how bad the room smelled. It was like having someone smoking non-stop in the room the entire time. There is also a lot of noise until late at night from an adjacent square and the square undergoes a motorised cleaner service next morning, so sleep could be a challenge.

Walking distance of Gibraltar, and central to the town centre. Old building split over many floors, the lift annoyingly stops between floors, and is not easy with suitcases. Rooms are small and basic, but adequate for a night, and prices are competitive for the area, staff friendly.
