Located in the heart of the village, just metres from the base of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift. This is a historic property with an alluring sense of alpine culture - it has great character, charm and warmth. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, the dining outstanding and the staff friendly and welcoming. Hotel facilities include restaurants, bars, sauna, guest laundry and car parking. Thredbo is famous for après activities and when staying at the hotel you have both restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Enjoy relaxed restaurant dining with breath-taking views in Cascades Restaurant and hang out with the locals at the Schuss Bar (plus lots of great seasonal options). Thredbo also has a year round events schedule featuring live music, festivals, special food and beverage events, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing and everything in-between.
The room was fantastic with great views of the mountains, very clean and well serviced. We celebrated my birthday at cascades restaurant which is part of the hotel, the food and service was excellent. The second night we decided to eat in the pub section, well what a shocker.the food was that bad we sent it back and didn't eat, then the bad behaviour of the tall female staff member behind the bar was appalling it was like her boyfriend was the chef really bad attitude snatching our glasses off the table and hurling abuse at us,how does she keep her job. That was a Thursday night, we decided to go back Friday night for a drink , well what a difference, different staff different attitude they were great. We checked out Saturday morning and it was fuss free, what a shame that 1 person can have on your stay. Overall the stay was great, I hope management speak to this woman as she needs to lift her game as she is spoiling it for all the other great staff members, if not then sack her, she's bad for business. I would definitely stay there again just wouldn't eat in the pub

Nestled in the heart of Thredbo, sits the famous Bernti’s Mountain Inn where guests enjoy sweeping mountain views, comfortable stylish rooms, personalised service, gourmet food and warm hospitality!
The good: Great location. Very central for Thredbo Village shops and the chairlift. Good food in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The not so good Service - very average. Reception desk barely attended. Restaurant shut Sunday evening and all day Monday when they claim that they are always open. No one to help with luggage and there are a lot of stairs. So pack light or do some weight training! Staff service was variable. A couple of friendly and helpful staff. Most were diffident and uncaring. A couple were rude. No one to ask for advice about the area. We had a room with no view. The room was very basic and functional and in need of updating with its 1970’s decor. Poor WiFi and basic TV. Would not choose to stay there again.

Our hotel is located on Kosciuszko Road, opposite the skitube terminal in Perisher Valley. We have a variety of rooms to suit serious skiers, a romantic get away or a family ski vacation. Our staff offer a high level of helpful and friendly service. Facilities include undercover parking, drying room and ski room, 2 bars, open fires, dining room, steam room & gym and complimentary laundry.
For some years, we have celebrated with other families a ski trip to either Thredbo or Perisher. One of my favorites ski destinations, and we are talking about pre-lockdown was a beautiful family run hotel, "The Man from Snowy River Hotel". Don't just take word for this, our very first trip (July 2019) to this delightful hotel was pre-booked and paid upfront. So this included all meals, drinks, kids club, ski in-n-out access, lift tickets, and they organised ski lessons and instructors. I did not have to worry about a thing. We made it to Blue Cow on windy and snow filled day. Snow heavens delivered!! There are fire works twice weekly, pure luxury in Thredbo's finest. Well done, really. We loved Perisher, and highly recommend for families.

We stopped here for lunch while exploring the area. The staff were welcoming and the food was terrific. The Buddha bowl was huge and delicious, a tasty mix of fresh crunchy salad with spicy beef and creamy guacamole. The beef burger and curly chips was magic I'm told. It was the perfect lunchtime break. I'd definitely recommend it.

We spent a week at Winterhaus Lodge and really enjoyed our stay. Matt and Jackie were great hosts, and very welcoming and lovely to chat with. The common area at the lodge is comfortable, with bbq facilities that have the most amazing view of the mountain and village. We had a family room which was spacious and very clean with our own bathroom. Don’t worry about the stairs to get up to the lodge - it is all part of the charm!

We loved our recent stay at the The Lions Lair. A cosy, clean, family friendly lodge, a real ‘home away from home’. The hosts Monique and Rod were fantastic and cooked a different delicious hot breakfast each morning from fried to scrambled eggs and bacon, to yummy pancakes with berries and cream. Large selections of other serve yourself breakfast items too. We also made good use of the communal fridge and kitchenette (microwave only). The rooms were spotless, with comfortable, firm beds and lovely bedding. Lovely views from the communal lounge as you relax after a big day on the slopes on the comfy lounges. Lots of games for the kids to play and your guaranteed to meet some other lovely families during your stay. Very short walk to Smiggins Holes centre and free Perisher shuttle bus. Great value for money to stay on the mountain itself. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you Monique and Rod for a fantastic stay!

Thredbo YHA offers the best value ski accommodation in Australia's premier ski destination with this purpose built lodge in the heart of Thredbo Village. Cosy atmosphere with fireplace and great views over the mountain and ski-fields. YHA has kitchen, lounge, drying room and free Wi-Fi hotspot. Self-contained studio apartment available during winter.
Central location in Thredbo with very clean facilities. Great fully equipped communal kitchen with everything!! Spacious dining area with indoor and outdoor seating providing a beautiful view. Comfortable sized bunk rooms with clean linen provided on check in. I stayed in a room without an ensuite and the communal bathroom upstairs had only one toilet with two showers in the females...I stayed in off peak so wasn't an issue but I imagine if they were fully booked in the winter there may be some lines for the toilet or you're running downstairs to the other toilet. Parking close to the facility is very limited so consider dropping your luggage off and then going to find a parking spot in the designated bays. I'd read reviews of this and when I quizzed the host over the phone before arriving they were super helpful with directions and suggestions on where to go. Staff were really friendly, approachable and helpful with great knowledge of the area and I definitely will be back for another stay to keep exploring this beautiful part of the world!

We booked for 4 nights over summer. On arrival the Manager (Mark) was very welcoming and explained all that was required for the Loft Apartment. The location and quality of the accommodation was excellent. It is slightly back from the Village square (less noise) but literally minutes from all facilities.

The Lantern Apartments is a famous Thredbo Landmark. Choose from 35 apartments most with spectacular mountain views of Thredbo Village and the mountains of the Kosciuszko National Park. Thredbo offers snow sports in winter and a choice of hiking, trout fishing, mountain bike riding and relaxing in the Australian Alps. The Village is open all year with shops, restaurants cafes and bars.
Prior to arrival, we sought some help from the manager to navigate the skiing experience (as newcomers). They weren’t particularly helpful but we found this typical across Thredbo. We arrived at the Lantern to be told there was no parking for Unit 14. This should be highlighted at the time of booking as parking is competitive in this area. Found a dirty sock on the main bedroom floor. Another minor thing. After a few lovely days enjoying Thredbo, we were ready to rebook a unit (with parking) for the following year. Then, the managers arrived on Friday to find out why we weren’t checking out. Evidently they’d failed to update their system with the extra day they’d offered us two months prior and we’d accepted (with Saturday as the checkout date confirmed by the managers in writing). Rather than tell the second booker they’d stuffed up, we were left with two young children to pack up in the rain and find other accommodation. Impossible in peak season. There was no offer of recompense or assistance whatsoever. In a word - the owner of unit 14 has a beautiful place but it’s completely overshadowed by incompetent management. Buyer beware - find somewhere else to stay.
