Stayed at more than 5 different Dormy Inns in larger cities, and this Dormy Inn in Kofu is up to expectation. - Centrally located with F & B options - Clean hotel - Clean rooms - Functional toilet and sink area - Acceptable room space but still need some efficient space management on your part, multiple large suitcase will have a problem. Best with small or medium size. - Onsen availability However: - On site carpark is rather limited during my stay and its automated stacked parking - Location is about 15mins walk from Kofu Station. Weather may screw this up for you. A preferred choice for the area, but I'll try the other Dormy Inn within Kofu next time for a comparison.

The room was smelly, need to be renovated. If you are not sensitive about smell, the hotel could be an option. I didn’t expect much, but just needed a clean room for a good sleep. When I stepped into the room, smelled something like an human aging odor. I had kept the window opened for for a while though, the odor was remain same. Plus, its bathroom smelled musty, too. Everything other than smell were good.

We were very much impressed by the lobby upon entering. It has high ceilings and tastefully designed, with dark wood accents. When we arrived by car, it was raining heavily. You need to drop off your car at the motorized carpark adjacent to the hotel. Someone will take over and park it for you. In the morning, you inform reception to have someone fetch it for you. Anticipating our needs, the reception staff fetched us two large umbrellas so we could use them to walk around the neighborhood in the rain. We did walk about but did not find much of interest besides some small izakayas. So, we decided to try the restaurant on the second floor. Are we glad we did! The restaurant had a nice, cozy ambience and the steak that was served was tasty and tender. The meal ended with a nice dessert. Alas, the room was small even by Japan standards and the bed was a super single size even though we booked a doubles room. If not for this point, it would have been a great stay.

The positives to start with would be the price! It is unbeatable value. The free breakfast was amazing. Good selection of fish, meat and the usual selection of bread and rice. Free onsen for guests to use. The room itself was surprising larger than most. Parking was right in front of the hotel or at a smaller graveled area just behind. Now the negatives. The room was very dim. The carpet was grimy. The toilet bowl was absolutely tiny. Will not fit men taller than 1.7m. The water pressure was non existent. The furnishings were very dated. The hotel is located right next to a fly-over. I drove right pass it as the GPS located it right next to the road. Make sure to keep left and take the exit before you can see the hotel. I had to take 15min to U turn back. It is a little away from the town area. Its definitely serviceable for a short stay.

Got to the hotel very late so couldn't comment too much of its surrounding. The building and room were quite dated. Room size was large enough to have two luggages opened together which is quite acceptable in Japan. The bed was fine but unfortunately they don't have any spare pillow. Decent.

We were there for Shingen-ko festival and booked our accommodation too late. No choice but to book smoking rooms. As it was considered early spring, the AC only provided hot air. We had the windows opened throughout our 2 nights stay. The soundproofing was poor but it was an okay stay. Modified yukatas were provided. Given a choice, I would avoid smoking floors at all costs.

We're most suitable for a base of a business and sightseeing by good location of 3 minutes more than Chuo expressway Kofu-showa IC. Parking lot breakfast, a high-speed Wi-Fi, a wired LAN and VOD will offer you "all comfortable space in room" for free of charge.
We booked this hotel as we was passing by and the room was tiny! They didn't have a non smoking room so the room smelt stale and felt very old. We had the 8th floor so the view was great and the reception staff was very helpful and very polite. The room was tiny and very out dated but for the price we paid which was not a lot but we stayed in some very beautiful hotel.

There is free spa (male and female separated). As well some free services as a free beer and Japanese soya noodle soup. Their staff speaks a reasonable English. It's a business hotel within five minute walk from Kofu Station. Toyoko Inn Quality, which means it's clean and the bed and the room is the same size with other of their chains. I like that they serve Houtou noodles a local speciality at this branch.
