The owners of the B&B were kind and helpful, including assisting us in getting transport to a testing center ahead of our flight. The room was comfortable and clean, but it seemed like a lot of mosquitos got in no matter what we did. Location is good, off of the main road but within walking distance of sites and restaurants.

The most sweet and welcoming place
Reviewed By nikolinemoesgaardMark has the sweetest little place and especially if you are travelling alone it is the perfect place. Both Mark and his family are so sweet and helpful and they make you feel very welcome. Mark and his wife made a Sri Lankan breakfast for me that was very good, but if you are not into that, they will make you a very good but more basic breakfast too. Mark is very good in English and you will get to know some Sri Lankan history. If you are not really sure where to start in Sri Lanka and what’s up and down, Mark is a certified tourist guide and will be ready to help with whatever you like and is able to take you on tours around Sri Lanka or just around Negombo if you rather want that. The room is very clean with an attached toilet, which has a great shower and the AC is a very nice touch to a very hot Sri Lankan. Also mark was ready to pick me up at the airport when I arrived in Sri Lanka, which was so nice not having to worry about after a long flight. Overall it was an amazing first couple of days in Sri Lanka where I felt save, welcomed and helped!

Great helpful and friendly staff, great position and comfortable room
Reviewed By Karen CVaaya Beach Hotel belongs to Olanka Travel who we booked our Sri Landan tour through. We arrived at 1.30 am and were taken by our tour driver, Douglas -The Great-to this Hotel. Our room and breakfast for this first night was very comfortable and breakfast whilst basic was good. With the situation with COVID-19 escalating towards the end of our tour and two flights out of Sri Lanka being cancelled I can only express our gratitude and appreciation for the level of care and attention afforded to us in our stressful situation. I think the Vaaya does more short stays, but we were provided well cooked meals, we all even went to the fish market to get the Prawns and Whole fish for our evening meal due to curfew rule and nothing being open. Thank you so much to staff and the Manager for making the end of our tour memorable for all the right reasons. We will always have fond memories of your care.

Reviewed By NDtravaller2001Great location, Just in front of the hotel is the beach, very nice view from the terrace really pleasant and clean rooms, beautiful furniture, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. My husband and I with two children stayed three days at this hotel, there is a nice bar, there is a nice private room we had lunch dinner at this bar my children loved the food in there we loved the live music the band, nice staff very friendly We had a perfect stay Nathalia - Paris

Quiet and nice home stay
Reviewed By barniehWe booked our stay via booking.com and had the room upstairs which is an apartment with a big entrance hall (incl. kitchen) and two rooms with a common bathroom, however we had the bathroom for ourselves only and the other room was empty. The beds are comfy, with a mosquito net (needed). Nice and quiet with occasional tuktuk and dog barking only. It is 5 minutes walk (across the main road) to the sandy beach and to a number of shops and restaurants (on the main road). I liked the greenery around the property (garden with flowers and trees). Breakfast was OK (omelette, toast, fruit, tea). The owners are very kind and helpful, they can arrange a pick-up from the airport too, and if needed, can also offer transport to other cities in Sri Lanka.
