Reviewed By verd972My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel for a few days in August 2015. Our room was lovely and modern with a gorgeous view. Service is fantastic with everyone at the hotel really friendly and helpful. Great food and wine. We will be back.

Highly recommendable accommodation tucked away in a pocket of loveliness
Reviewed By Bellique18Just back from 4-nights with the Pronegg family in their recently renovated rooms which provide excellent and very comfortable stay with great breakfast. If you want to stay on a vineyard and would like a touch of authenticity, a friendly and helpful family then this is probably the place for you. The food from the Buschenschank was excellent and very scrumptious. Its obviously important that they provide not just good tasting food but also good quality and locally sourced produce, yet nevertheless at a good and fair price. Goes without saying that the wine was excellent - the Sauvignon Blanc in particular took my fancy. Of the various SB's that I tried in the region during our stay, this was definitely the best. Of course taste is personal, but I found the wine to be very individual, bringing a little extra that others producers, whilst still very good, somehow lacked. Its not often that I fawn over something, but credit given where credit due.

Lives up to the name
Reviewed By helenez_12We were recommended to come here for a meal by a friend, and I'm glad we took her advice. The view is truly panoramic, and quite stunning. You can sit on the terrace and enjoy a good meal to go with the view. I decided to try wine soup for lunch, and it was really good - very subtle flavours. In the evening we all had Wiener Schnitzel, which was very tender, very tasty and very plentiful. When the menu says 'for big Waters' it means it - you need to bring a serious appetite! I liked that there were recommended wine selections with each dish (just varieties rather than specific wines), and the lady who served us was happy to discuss our options. She suggested the house white - not a choice I'd normally make after some pretty dire ones here at home, but it was very good and partnered the food well. In between, it was lovely to just sit out in the garden and enjoy the great views. Definitely one to try if you want a good meal with a pleasant panorama.

Reviewed By 123jomiWir haben uns hier sehr sehr wohl gefühlt, die Anlage ist wunderschön am Hang nach Süden ausgerichtet, ein schönes Pool, um nach einer Wanderung noch Erfrischung zu finden, die Hausherr(in) sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Zimmer. Die Wohnung war groß und sauber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt . Ein Wunsch für die Zukunft wäre , beim Frühstück frisches Gebäck vom Bäcker zu haben.

Reviewed By reiseprinzessin2017Das Doppelzimmer war schön groß mit Rundumterrasse und Ausblick auf die herrliche Landschaft in 2 Richtungen. Alles sehr sauber, gute Betten. Gutes WLAN. Die Einrichtung karg, die Sessel etwas unbequem. Das Bad im 70-er Jahre Stil, aber gute Duschkabine und sehr sauber. Wie schon von anderen Gästen erwähnt, macht Frau Temmel ein herausragendes und üppiges Frühstück, so dass sich der Tisch biegt! Ein Dankeschön an sie, sie hat uns sehr gut versorgt!

Reviewed By christophk732Wir waren hier an einem herbstlich-sonnigen Sonntag und haben den Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse sehr genossen. Absolut positiv in Erinnerung bleibt das hervorragende Essen, der schöne große Gastgarten mit toller Aussicht und der tolle Kinderspielplatz mitsamt Ziegen zum Streicheln. Negativ ist zu erwähnen, dass das Gesamterlebnis noch nicht ganz stimmig ist: Alles wirkt noch etwas unfertig und nicht ganz bis zum Ende durchdacht und gestaltet. Von der Zusammensetzung der Karte über die etwas lieblos wirkende Dekoration bis hin zum spärlich bestuhlten Gastgarten - es wirkt als wäre man noch nicht ganz fertig… Aber wie gesagt: Die Qualität der gebotenen Speisen war sehr gut (auch sehr bekömmlich, obwohl „Hausmannskost“) und gerade mit Kindern ist der Stupperhof eine tolle Wahl, da diese sicher beschäftigt sein werden (Der Kinderspielplatz ist von der Terrasse her einsichtig, aber weit genug entfernt, um andere Gäste zu stören - das ist Top!)

So relaxing and comfortable
Reviewed By helenez_12Great location in the mountains and surrounded by vineyards, and the loudest things were the crickets. The rooms were spacious and kept very clean, and each has its own balcony overlooking a lovely view. A nice en suite bathroom with a walk in shower was very much appreciated in the morning. The welcome was warm and friendly, and our later arrival and early departure were easily accommodated. Breakfast was plentiful, and included home made food and locally sourced produce, along with the usual staples of cereals etc. Frau Schauer is an excellent cook! We felt well looked after without being fussed over throughout our stay. There was a fascinating winery tour and wine tasting on Wednesday afternoon, sampling six of their own wines. Quite a revelation of how many flavours can be extracted from the various grape varieties! We had several meals in the Buschenschank, featuring a lot of local specialities which are well worth trying. If in doubt- go for it! It's worth bearing in mind that a Buschenschank is only allowed by law to serve cold food, which doesn't stop it being plentiful and very tasty. If you have a craving for a hot meal there are plenty of options around. You certainly won't starve! You can buy their wines to take with you, and I must say that the choice is excellent. We don't get many Austrian wines here in England, so it was a real treat to have such a good range - although it made the choice harder! We all enjoyed our stay very much, and we'll have no hesitation in returning for another visit. Thanks to the whole family for a really great holiday!

Reviewed By thessie3A clean and decent Bed&Breakfast. It’s quite off the beaten track and a little difficult to find. It seemed a bit strange and non-mainstream, but proved ok. For the budget one-night stay that we needed it for while driving across Europe, it did the job. Breakfast was also ok. The hosts don’t speak English. They do try to communicate, though, with some written-down phrases, and in the end we managed :)
