A lovely surprise!
Reviewed By Kev69My friend and I stayed at this hotel while visiting the WW2 rocket site at Peenemunde. I cannot recommend the location enough – the surrounding area is a beautiful sea-side spot with a lovely beach stretching for several kilometres around the peninsular. We chose the hotel for its location, plus the free and secure car-parking. However, when we arrived we were very surprised and pleased with the almost seafront location of the hotel and the pleasantness of the whole area. The small town is not overly commercialised and only boasts a couple of cafes and restaurants, a few gift shops and some small hotels. I think the Dunenschloss was probably one of the largest hotels in the area. All the rooms that we saw looked very good. My own was an enormous ground floor room, almost like a suite, and it had patio doors that opened onto a lovely garden at the back of the hotel. Each of the ground floor rooms overlooking the garden had a small table and chair set so that you can sit outside and enjoy the garden if you wish. We stayed for one night but chose not to eat in the hotel itself. The reason was that we were walking and passed a restaurant with an attractive menu and went in there because it looked good. When we were back in the hotel later that evening we sat in the restaurant/bar area and have to say that the food looked very good. We stayed in the bar for the rest of the night and got chatting to the owner, a very helpful gentleman who’s English was, luckily, better than our almost non-existent German. On this point I should add that being this far across Germany, the rest of the staff didn’t have much English but we all managed to make ourselves understood and they were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast the following morning was the usual selection of cold meat, cheeses, bread, spreads, and also bacon and fried eggs – we didn’t leave hungry! Overall I can’t recommend this place enough – location was excellent for our needs and great staff. I should also add that the Polish border was less than an hour down the coast road, so we took advantage of that to make a quick stop before continuing our journey on to Berlin.

Hatten auch zufällig Glück, dass sogar Strand nah eine Veranstaltung statt fand. Im Umkreis findet man Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, also man bekommt, was das Herz begehrt. Immer wieder gern LUCAS & RONNY

Reviewed By Uw EImmer wieder sehr zu empfehlen. Tolle einfache Abwicklung und sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung im Erdgeschoss der Ferienwohnanlage Hafenidyll. Gegenüber befindet sich das Restaurant Veermaster- sehr zu empfehlen und direkt am Hafen ist der Fischimbiss immer wieder lohnenswert.

Rehe ganz nah
Reviewed By StevenWindEs ist traumhaft schön hier mit tollem kilometerlangen Blick über die Deichwiesen. Mit etwas Glück sieht man hier Rehe ganz nah. Auch die Wohnungen selbst sind gut gelungen und schön eingerichtet. Zudem gibt es einen großen Garten und dahinter grleich die Wiesen.

Sehr freundliches Personal und gepflegte Außenanlage.Die Wohnung war top Ausgestattet und es hatte uns an nichts gefehlt.Komplett geflieste Wohnung und schöne helle Räume.Due Sauberkeit sowohl in der Wohnung als auch in dem Haus ist perfekt.Wir empfehlen es wärmstens weiter.Da es auch für die Kleinsten Besucher dank der ruhigen Lage geeignet ist.

Es gibt eine lieblos geschriebene Hausordnung nach der man sich eher geduldet, als willkommen fühlt. Wir haben beim spazieren gehen deutlich schönere Unterkünfte zu angepassteren Preisen gesehen. Wir reisen sehr viel und sind wirklich nicht kleinlich, aber diese Ferienwohnung werden wir nicht noch mal buchen.
