Reviewed By RogerE505Let’s start about the resort/hotel: - secluded / quiet spot by the river (good to avoid mass tourism) - clean / modern / well decorated (very romantic) - comfortable king size bed (5 star quality) - nice little pool while we loved the hammock on the river at sunset, see picture - friendly staff - well priced, good value for money, though you would need to come by rental car like us as it is 20mn from town However, the restaurant/food was the worst we ever experienced in Thailand: - not tasty, not fresh, poorly cooked Thai food - western food was even worst, not eatable hence we asked for refund which the staff could understand with a smile - you would eat better quality at 7-Eleven microwave dishes! - just disgusting, explaining why nobody was eating here for lunch and 2 tables only at night To conclude, as long as you don’t eat here, this is the best place in Kanchanaburi ? we loved it! In regard to the food, the positive side is that we lost 1kg during our stay - great if you are on a diet...

Reviewed By WolfeeI was a little disappointed with this hop inn. I have stayed in many hop inn before but this one I a little below the mark. To room I was given has a broken corner and stained table. The balcony is full of bird poop and even a nest.

Reviewed By 824rictWe had a great 2 night stay here to see the town, the famous Bridge and as a base to head up to see HellFire pass. The staff were amazing (great English and very accommodating), the room spotlessly clean and well appointed (with fast reliable wifi). The bed was very comfortable. The location is 2.6km from the main bus depot and 1.3km to the Bridge. This was quite walkable, given the humidity was much lower than Bangkok. Highly recommended...

The mattresses are rock hard. Rooms on the highway are noisy. Don’t know why they decided to put us in one. Their hotel is empty!

Reviewed By masclinderWe had a very good time here. The staff are great and the food was of good quality and tasty. I would recommend this place even if you were to stay one night. Although it is out of town we rented a motorbike and made our way there. There were lots of different types of accomodations each with thier own style. The place was fully booked every for the three night tha stayed but it was still peaceful and relaxing. Thanks!

Reviewed By GhentfreakThis hotel is very remote, situated in a green and quiet area . Good but noisy airco, clean and large rooms with terrace. The dinner was excellent. Staff is rather reserved. Quality/price OK. Breakfast was basic. A good place to take a break.

Underrated - a great little stop off
Reviewed By alexh11494We stayed at Sam’s guest house for one night during a stop to Kanchanaburi from Bangkok. For one night, it had everything which we needed which was a comfortable bed, towels provided for shower, and soaps for the toilet with loo roll. The rooms are spacious and clean and they are very quiet as the guest houses are set way back from the road. We were woken up by a super loud squawking bird but this isn’t the guesthouse’s fault. The staff here are very friendly. I think a stay here for more than a few nights would be a bit too much but for a one night stop off its perfect.
