It has 400 power sites, 9 standard cabins,8 ensuite cabins and 8 luxury apartments overlooking the bay. Beachfront cafe/restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and a la carte evening dining and operates within the motor camp. Sheltered golden beaches for safe bathing and water sports and walking tracks are nearby. Kaiteriteri Beach Motor Camp is situated on Kaiteriteri-Sandy Bay Road.
Didnt feel safe here at all. group of girls wandering camp all night screaming, chanting, singing, yelling. The group got bigger as the night went on. The after hours number was useless as no one answered. No security or management around in the camp after hours at all and it was downright scary. A tent down from us said someone peed on their tent in the night. Avoid at summer - its like sardines and so so so busy. sad as its an amazing beach, but maybe consider bethany camp instead

Pen is extraordinary at creating delicious food that is sourced locally and super fresh each day. The wine cellar is filled with a comprehensive selection of exceptional wines. Pens staff are attentive to your every need and requirement and all will quickly become your new BFFs. we felt so welcome and at home loved the meditations infinity pool and private beach, private access to Split Apple beach was also a well kept secret that all guests get to find out about. There is music nightly. Local activities: kayaking, walking Abel Tasman, waka races, water taxis, scalloping, cray-fishing, mini golf, sailing, sky diving and many more.
We had a twin room with a fridge, TV and bathroom. The room had everything we needed. It was quite small but that was ok with just 2 of us. Staff were friendly and it was great having the lovely restaurant next door. Shower was awesome. Nice and big with good pressure. There was some free wifi but when it ran out you had to pay for more. $2 for unlimited per day. There were only two negatives. The bottom sheet felt almost like it should be an undersheet. It was like a bally winter sheet. I ended up sleeping on the nice cool top sheet. The other thing was the room was really hot at night. Perhaps there was air conditioning that we didnt know about. It was certainly in the hallways but didnt seem to be in the room. I would certainly stay at the lodge again.

Our modern stylish home is in a peaceful bush setting, centrally located to explore Abel Tasman National Park, Golden Bay & Nelson environs. Kayak companies and water taxis for hiking into the Abel Tasman Park are just a short drive away. We are only minutes to golden-sanded Kaiteriteri beach and restaurants & a mini-general store are close by. We are now only offering our self-contained Queen Studio room. This room is attached to but separate from the main house and has its own courtyard and private entry. This compact, well-appointed room, for 2 people has an ensuite, flat-screen TV, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, hotplate [no oven], electric fry-pan, BBQ, plus tea and coffee making facilities. Our lovely chemical free swimming pool is for guest use, and off-street car parking and free Wifi are available. German and French spoken by Hans.
We spent four nights in total, two before walking the Abel Tasman Track and two after. Fiona and Hans were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. We stayed in the Queen Studio Room, which is neatly tucked in next to the main house. Although the room was compact, it was extremely well equipped for our self-catering needs. We had the use of a cosy private patio outside our room, where we were able to BBQ and enjoy our breakfasts and evening meal. Fiona went out of her way to help accommodate our accommodation arrangements, to the extent of allowing us to leave all our possessions in the room for the two nights we were away hiking the Abel Tasman Track, as it was end of season. This made our stay especially comfortable and relaxed. Each evening she arrived with little treats she had baked that day, a sure way to win me over! She was also extremely knowledgeable about the whole of the north-west corner of South Island, suggesting some interesting sites to visit on our ramblings, places which we would otherwise have missed e.g. Te Waikoropupu Springs Scenic Reserve, on our trip up to Farewell Spit. Unfortunately the weather was not conducive to enjoy swimming in the absolutely stunning natural pool, designed and developed by Hans, but we made full use of the wonderful herb garden alongside the pool, which Fiona encouraged us to use. Free unlimited use of internet was a delight, having experienced very restricted availability elsewhere in our NZ travels. We rated this stay the highlight of our 5 week NZ trip, primarily influenced by the overwhelmingly wonderful helpfulness and friendliness of our hosts. And that is saying something, as we had a number of memorable stays. If we ever get back to New Zealand, this would be at the top of our list of places to return to.

Room matches pictures B&B style. Stayed 3 nights in one of 4 modern studio rooms under an older house. Garden area in process of being re-developed but mature trees surround the boundary. Birdsong in trees. Breakfast essentials supplied - cereal in jars, tea/coffee, milk, yoghurt, juice, bread and spreads, fruit in fridge. Washing up done via a bucket using water from bathroom. Toaster and kettle on bench. Short walk downhill to Kaiteriteri beach. Friendly dog and owners. No recycling container in room, but upon checkout advised to leave our recyclables seperate. Would certainly stay here again if returning to Kaiteriteri. Nice quiet area and views of estuary.
