I stayed there two nights. Rooms are just fine for me. I can't use Wifi in the room because signal is very poor. So, I used to go out and use at lobby. Hotel provide free coffee and tea at lobby so it is very convenient for me. Car parking is wide so I could park my car easily. Breakfast is also nice. Staff including Manager is also polite and helpful.

Palm Spring Resort

Beautiful property and kind staff but poor management of problems.

Reviewed By M15PFkatieb

I booked two nights at Palms Springs in Myitkyina. It's definitely a higher price than I would normally pay, but I was traveling with friends. Overall, I liked this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was kind and helpful. I would have recommended the hotel up until the time of check out. When I checked in, I explained I had booked on Travelocity. They said, "Oh, online booking", appeared to look at a paper, and then handed me a key. When I checked out, however, they asked me for payment. I showed them the booking confirmation that said I had paid online. They insisted they have no relationship with Travelocity and that I needed to pay in cash. My original booking cost $194, but they charged me $200 and charged me an artificially high exchange rate. So, the second payment cost about $12 more than the first. Now, I have to try to get my money back from Travelocity. So, at this point, I will no longer stay at this hotel or recommend it to my visitors like I have done in the past.

Had a wonderful time at malikha Lodge 2. Spacious rooms along the river bank with stones. Quite atmosphere and cool weather to enjoy. We had dinner across the road, authentic local restaurant name "daw Nge" with fraction of hotel price. Usual visit places are river cruise, waterfall and pagoda.

Felt right at home

I chose this place because it has a pool. Be aware that local kids have swimming lessons in the pool so it can get crowded in the afternoon, but I still enjoyed it. The breakfast was much better than I expected. It was lovely to have breakfast in the garden! The room was fine with a spacious bathroom and screen windows. There is an interesting temple just down the road and an interesting and lively fresh market a block or two away.

Nice outside bar at the top, although the neon lights attract too many insects. Breakfast has mostly Myanmar food. Could be more environmentally friendly regarding towels and toiletry. Located near the river and market which is nice.
