Reviewed By matkaaja555Ensimmäistä kertaa ko. majoituksessa: asunto, jossa tehty pientä pintaremonttia, edullisesti sisutettu ruotsalaisjätin tuotteilla. Kylpyhuoneesta sain heti aivastelukohtauksen, haisi ummehtuneelta (allaskaapin ovien alareunat kupruilivat). Tilattu aamiainen (a´12e/hlö). Sisälsi 2 purkkia mehua (Luomusta plussaa), margariinipaketin, 4 jugurttia (Sky plussaa), pieni kahvimaito (plussaa), hedelmiä ja paketti leipää. Elämämme kallein aamiainen, ollakseen niin vaatimaton (yht. siis 48 e). Jäimme kaipaamaan leivän päälle esim. salaattia ja vaikka juustoa, sekä jokin pieni makea. Tuohon hintaan olisi pitänyt kyetä saamaan hieman enemmän! Huoneiston sängyt hyvät. Pyyhkeet haisivat ummehtuneelta (kosteana kaapissa tms. olleena). Olohuone ja sohva ok. Katutasossa kuului hieman viikonlopunjuhlijoiden ääntä, mutta muutoin nukuimme ihan hyvin. Avaimen toimitus onnistui myös sujuvasti. Hinta-laatu suhde ihan ok, mutta ehkä emme toista kertaa ainakaan tuohon osoitteeseen palaa.

Outdoor Hostel Laajis offers accommodation for travellers 4km from the center of Jyväskylä. Place is well connected with public transport (bus nr. 25). There is a ski resort, adventure park, bikepark, frisbee golf courses and nature trails right at the doorstep. There's also rental e-fatbikes, e-MTBs, enduro- and DH-bikes, SUP boards etc,. There's also a spa on walking distance. Every room includes the possibility to use sauna, laundry room and common kitchen. Free parking lot for customers. Hostel has free WI-Fi.

Reviewed By Souz MThe place is on the main rd, people walking by, cars passing by, the quality of sleep wasnt that good, the rooms were good with good mattresses, the bathroom were communal which is a bit weird for those who are not used to it, the reception people were very friendly and supportive, there is a nice seating area in the reception, the WIFI was terrible in the rooms, and to connect you need to go to the reception and even yet it was still very slow.

Not a good night sleep
Reviewed By 349susisUnfortunately the hotel had so poor air quality that I was not able to sleep well. I woke up in the middle of the night and had trouble breathing. Breakfast was good though and the hotel is located in a very beautiful area close to many outdoor activities.

Nice hotel located right in the city center close to shopping, sights and international congress and trade fair centre Paviljonki. The hotel is easily reachable from all parts of Finland and has over 100 parking places.

Reviewed By neyenorRoom size is good. Room Service is very poor. The pillows, blankets and sheets are only sloppily prepared. Hand- and bath towels are simply left on the washbasin - so the washbasin remains uncleaned. I a real 4 Star hotel those are least folded and hung up. I was also disappointed with the breakfast. Even a 3 star hotel usually offers hot smoked fish (salmon) in the morning. There was no sign of that on Sunday either. Conclusion: The rating of 4 stars is far exaggerated. The hotel is overpriced for the service offered. Too bad, because Scandic actually has resp had a good reputation.

Cold room but a great view
Reviewed By alloverjapanI stayed here for one night to work at an event. Staff was friendly but the front desk was understaffed and long lines occurrd at the check-in. Breaksfast was organised in shifts. My room was in the annex, so I had to walk downstairs and througj a tunnel. My room was ice cold and the AC heating refused the remote control. The room was clean but the walls were thin. The curtains are not lightproof, bring a sleeping mask, for the streetlamps are on all night. The bathroom was very basic, rather Holiday Inn or Ibis Budget style, far from the regular Scandic standards. The shower was moody...and not very warm. Breaksfast was oustanding wven for Scandic standards. With plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices, even cake was provdided. The station is in walking distance, so is the City Center and bars and clubs. All in all it was ok, but next time I'll try to get better value at a different hotel, for I prefer a waem room, if it's -15*C outside.

Reviewed By AmyHNWBooked Omena Hotel for 5 nights as a budget stay for a business trip. It is in a convenient location very close to the centre of town and not far from the train station. The code to enter was emailed to me the day before arrival. This is the code to get through the gate, into the building and into the room. The communal spaces were clean and easy to navigate. The room itself was very basic but suited me as I was not using the room other than to sleep! The room was comfortable enough and everything worked. The blinds did a wonderful job of blocking out the 24 hour daylight! There was a microwave which was handy although I only used it once. Overall, great budget accommodation for Jyvyskyla for single travellers. With more than one person in the room it could be small, but manageable if you are just using the room as a base to explore beautiful Jyvyskyla.
