I came to this hotel with a friend in the evening after driving down from high in the alps, where we had shared a small (very) and clean room with a sofa bed and another built into a corner . The Villa Morelia experience was like the air that evening - fresh and warm in first days of spring. The owner set up a humorous banter while he smoothly accommodated both us and a group with 6 Ferraris. We were really pleased with not only having two separate rooms - but ones so large and comfortable, and with a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains. We sat at the outdoor bar for an hour with a great hostess, and some of the family of the owner. There was a little rain, but it didn't make it through the trees - just enough to cool the air while we drank some rosé. And the dinner - fantastic - a cut of beef with porcini sauce and small spring vegetables and a very good and fairly priced Chatauneuf de Pape. As you can likely tell, this was a very good experience. I will bring my wife next time - really a short drive from Cassis that we will both enjoy.

With a cycling group of 6 cyclists, we stayed at the hotel from July 5 to July 11, 2020. Pros: - extremely friendly welcome on arrival and during the entire week; - rooms and sanitary very well maintained; - food: excellent and more than sufficient (important for cyclists); the chef of the restaurant always pleasantly surprised us. - perfect base to explore the many different cols in the area; - you can always contact the hotel managers for questions regarding road conditions and weather reports; they gave us excellent advice; - the price for the half-board stay was certainly not too expensive compared to the offer - on the contrary; - the final statement of the accompanying drinks was correct. Negatives: none. Conclusion: a hotel that you should definitely visit if you are in the area.

Laurence. Constantine et Georgia.

We popped into the Bel Air simply on spec one Sunday evening because the main bar (ie the only bar) in the village centre was shut. The Bel Air is a short 10 minute stroll on the Barcelonette road and was a bit of a discovery. Although it’s prime role is as hotel and restaurant, it is also a bar and we found the service from the owners (and their 5 year old son) to be friendly and welcoming. With good beer and a nice atmosphere we felt right at home - so much so that we came in again the following evening.

Due to an unexpected issue I needed to reschedule my reservation. I submitted multiple requests via the hotel's own online portal, and although the website said "Request Received!" I never received any communication or follow up about the requests. I also tried to call several times, but because the hotel's phone system is entirely in French I couldn't understand how to reach an actual human. Each time I called I tried randomly pressing a different number/extension but every time I would get a "that extension does not exist" notification - in English. So, despite my many, many attempts to communicate directly with the hotel - via their own phone number and their own website - I never received any response or even formal acknowledgement of my request. The only thing I received was a bill on my credit card. The place looks nice enough, but if this is any reflection of the property or how the hotel treats guests I'd say stay somewhere else.

Heidi and Kristof welcome you in their Mexican villa in Jausiers (1200 m), a lovely village in the Valley of the Ubaye. 15 minutes driving to the 3 ski stations Pra Loup, Sauze Super Sauze and St-Anne. At the beginning of the highest road throughout the Alps, you’ll find a paradise for parapente, rafting, hiking, cycling and horse-riding.
We were very lucky to have been able to stay in La Mexicaine for 11 nights. Kristof & Heidi will try their utmost best to please all their guests. Very clean rooms, plenty of choice for breakfast. You can also book dinner 4x per week, very convenient and better than some of the restaurants we tried in the surroundings, Kristof is a master chef! You can get plenty of tips for walks or cycle tours, or things that are worth visiting. We can only warmly recommend La Mexicaine! You rock, Heidi & Kristof!

Nested in a spectacular valley near a torrent, the gite is just the right size (9 guest rooms with private bathrooms). The rooms are quiet and clean, and it is a treat to be able to see mountains from you bed! A delicious continental breakfast is included in the cost of the room and I would strongly suggest having dinner at the gite as well. The food is prepared on the premises with local products. You will be treated with a choice of walnut wine or orange wine as a prelude to dinner, and you will have a choice of limoncello or genepi liquor at the end of your meal, all home made. Local wine is also available. The conviviality of the place, magnificent landscapes and great food made for a lovey stay.

We had a room that was very old and dirty. Nothing like the pictures in the advertisement. Dead flies, spider webs, everything old and dirty. The whole building is in a poor state of maintenance. Maybe some other rooms are OK (Pictures?) but ours certainly was not. Decent breakfast, easy parking, nice pool.
